Here's what I have, the group ones are kind of mixed up.
Also, some of Top 10 are missing.
Some files are low volume, what do you use to increase volume
and make them all the same level?
Also, some other MP3 I want to Edit voice Intro, what do you use?
Oh, Yahoo has cancelled public sharing for Files?
Cause I was going to set up some Yahoo-groups and Upload my files.
I've been looking for a Free site to Upload Files that hosts them
permanently.
thanks

Do you want all top 32 performances, or just some?
Yahoo cancelled public sharing for their file briefcases. But I have
access to it. The files in the briefcase only include mp3s of the top
32. So, let me know what you want and I'll post them here.
Is this where to put a request for CI2 Media?
I'm looking for the MP3 from Top32 to the Finale
thanks

The top 10 performed three numbers: A "hits" medley, Pat Benetar's We
Belong, and Michael Buble's Home. All three were sung awful, with
exception of the parts sung by the youth choir from Africa.
The good: Sarah and Rob. This is not surpising, I guess, considering
their age and experience.
The bad: Brandon, Chad, and Steffi. Brandon's vocals were an
embarrassment to the top 10. So was Chad's to a lesser extent. I love
Steffi D to death but she should never sing Macy Gray ever again.
The rest were somewhere in the middle. Eva just looked worn and beaten
by the entire thing. Craig brought the usual Craig. The duet
performance was a clunker. It lacked chemistry and the harmonizing
seemed a bit off, probably because both singers sing in the same vocal
range. Craig, who has almost no lower register, sang higher than Eva
did at times.
The guest performances by Nelly and Melissa O'Neil were fun. They did
their job in not upstaging the Idols too much. At least, vocally.
Overall, it was not a great show, but it was still fun seeing old
faces. I'm glad I watched it on tape, instead of having to sit through
the whole thing with commercials.
The season, overall, gets a grade of "B-" from me. A significant
improvement over last season because of the better singing, bigger
celebrity guests and weekly themes that weren't too specific or simply
out-of-touch (like Elvis or Lionel Richie week).
For next season, I wish they would dump the piano and have a live band
for the semi-final rounds. A band is more accommodating to many styles
of music (especially today's music). Not just slow ballads or oldie
bar songs most contestants seem to fallback on with the piano. Other
than the brief appearances of Keith MacPherson, Greg Neufeld and Nancy
Silverman, the semi-final round was a dud. They need to spice it up a bit.
Also, arrange some hearing exams for the judges because some of the
singers they let through were embarrassingly bad, in retrospect.
Idol fans,
Please help Shane Wiebe (British Columbia) win $10 000.
Shane Wiebe is participating in a contest called Generation B and
if he receives the most online votes, he'll win $10 000 that he can
use to make a new CD, etc.

THANKS!
Shane and his wife have a baby daughter now (arrived a few months ago).
ps. you'll also receive a $10 off coupon for Bootlegger clothes.
Thanks a lot for voting!
I really disliked Katherine McPhee and wasn't crazy about Melissa O'Neill but Eva is growing on me. Last week's song was really good and so was this weeks. Then again we totally disagree on Chad - he's definitely my favourite of the top 10 this year.
Craig: A- Ashley: B- Chad: C+ Steffi: A Eva: A Tyler: B
Comments: Three points.
- After tonight's performance, Eva officially tops Katharine McPhee and last year's CI winner, Melissa O'Neil, in the cool department.
- I want Steffi D's CD collection.
- Zack seems to be the only judge advising the contestants to think beyond the scope of this show. The rest of the judges seem like yes men, giving random praise to just about anyone.

Comment:
Tonight, no one really stepped up and knocked it out of the park.
The judges overpraised Chad to death. It's almost sickening to watch.
He was good-ish in a at-least-he-didn't-ruin-the song kind of way, but
the vocals just aren't there and the way he stares blankly at the
camera smacks of inexperience. Don't get me wrong, he has the tools to
be a pro singer. I just think he's at least five years away. More
vocal training, more life experience.
Predicted boot: Steffi
More former contestants....
Aaron Walpole
http://myspace.com/aaronwalpole
Grade: B-
Comments: I'm not a fan, but minus the corny lyrics, his music isn't
any less listenable than Theresa's new stuff. It hurts me to say that
since I was once a big fan of Theresa's.
Christina Sing - CI4

Comments: Had she sung this passionately in the first season, she
might've gone further.
Kaleb

Grade: C
Comments: Kaleb's a quirky cat. He needs someone to bring out that
quirkness in him. This type of generic R&B/hip hop stuff won't get him
anywhere.

No need to apologise. Take my opinion with a grain of salt. Obviously
this type of music is catering to a certain crowd, or else the album
wouldn't have been made.
> On a different note... why doesn't anyone chat in this group??
The links on the frontpage direct you to forums with more traffic,
like TWOP and IDF. The CTV web site also has a busy forum. There's
only so many message boards you can chat at. Admittedly, this site
isn't one of the first places people go to chat. But I still like to
post my thoughts on the show, once and while (without the baggage of
immature posters that usually appear in the bigger sites). I guess
it's something like a blog.

Braided http://www.myspace.com/braidedmusic Grade: C- Comments: Empty, generic, oversynthesized, souless music. The three girls sing well but the material simply stinks.
Theresa Sokyrka

Grade: B-
Comments: Bland, ready-made EZ-listening radio music. Remember when
she used to be fresh?
Andrew Leader
http://www.myspace.com/artistikandrewleader

Comments: This seems a couple years old. Still worth a listen just to
hear Andrew kick some stellar R&B vocals. He's the reason why Rob
James never impressed me.
Sheldon Elter

Grade: A-
Comments: Cool, a ukulele cover band! Worth listening to if you need
some cheering up.
Miranda Walsh

Grade: B+
Comments: The first song has Miranda and her sister laying down a very
fun, well-produced R&B track.
Valerie Jalbert
http://www.myspace.com/valeriejalbert
Grade: B+
Comments: Valerie's voice is so powerful yet so easy on the ears. Very
nice demo stuff that will hopefully land in the right hands.
Braided

Grade: C-
Comments: Empty, generic, oversynthesized, souless music. The three
girls sing well but the material simply stinks.
Nancy Silverman
http://www.myspace.com/nancysilverman
Grade: B+
Comments: I feel like giving this an "A" after hearing Braided. But
Nancy's only scratching the surface with these underproduced,
written-on-the-fly originals. Ten times more soulful and fresh than
Theresa's new stuff.
Vince Benenati
http://www.hellolibido.com/
Grade: C+
Comments: Hey, the band's not half bad. Vince's voice sounds as gruff
as ever, but he sounds passionate and the melodies are somewhat memorable.

Craig: B
Rob: B-
Steffi: A
Chad: C
Eva: B+
Tyler: B
Ashley: B+
Comment: Steffi is officially a contender. Vocally, she was as good as
she's ever been and the David Bowie song was strangely up her alley.
Everything all came together for her tonight. Eva and Ashley retreated
slightly to their roots. Eva sang a straight ballad with great power
and Ashley sang a Dylan bar classic, Knockin' on Heaven's Door, again
with great power. The difference this time around is that they look
and sound as confident as ever. Great show, girls!
Predicted boot: Chad ... or maybe Rob, the first performer of night curse?
Aaron Walpole can’t wait to get on stage this holiday weekend to have his fans, family and friends hear the songs that highlight his debut album that hits stores Tuesday. The third-place finalist on last year’s Canadian Idol is hosting CD release parties Saturday and Sunday at Coolz Warehouse on Talbot Street. (T-J photo by Jeff Renaud)
By Jeff Renaud http://www.stthomastimesjournal.com/story.php?id=246164 for the Times-Journal With Aaron Walpole’s self-titled debut album due to hit record stores on Tuesday, the soul man of St. Thomas wanted to give his family and friends a chance to grab their copies early. So the Parkside Collegiate Institute alum is holding not one, but two CD release parties over the Civic Holiday weekend. The third-place finalist on last year’s Canadian Idol is hosting CD release parties Saturday and Sunday at Coolz Warehouse on Talbot Street. The 10 p.m. show on Saturday is the official launch, while the 7 p.m. Sunday show is an all-ages performance. Advance tickets are available at Coolz Warehouse, CD Plus in Elgin Mall and Mackie’s in Port Stanley. Tickets are also available at the door. Copies of the CD are available at both shows and there will be lots of giveaways and door prizes, as well. “It’s going to be great to get up and perform in front of all my family and friends at Coolz Warehouse. I am really excited about launching my first CD right here in St. Thomas,” said Walpole. “The CD sounds great and we’re really proud of it. I really think everyone is going to love it.” Highlights of the soul/rock/pop collection, produced by Harry Hess and Pete Lesperance of Harem Scarem fame, include the debut single 42nd Street, the reggae influenced Day After Day, the Walpole-penned Impatience and a cover of These Eyes, the Guess Who song that was his trademark performance on last year’s Idol. St. Thomas native Chris Eveland is the featured lead guitarist on the album while Londoners Kevin “Mookie” Komatsu and Gabriel Beisetzer play drums and bass guitar respectively. The album is being released by Sony BMG Music, the label for countless Canadian music icons ranging from Avril Lavigne and Our Lady Peace to Celine Dion and Leonard Cohen.

Comments: This episode was probably the best of the season, so far.
Certainly better than anything from last season. The presentation of
each performance was a sight to behold. High marks must be given to
the behind-the-scenes people: make-up artists, stylists and
celeb-coach-of-the-week, Cyndi Lauper, for bringing out the 80s spirit
of each performance. Audio clips wouldn't do justice to most of the
performances. I highly recommend watching the video clips once they're
available. They were THAT entertaining.
That said, I felt Ashley and Tyler were the few to successfully merged
strong vocals with stage presence; both have come a long way from the
bar-singing box they were in early on.
I'm still not getting rockstar Rob of the last few weeks, but I think
I'm starting to fall in love with rockstar Steffi.
Even Eva showed a rock side I didn't think was possible, performing a
very passable rendition of White Wedding.
Wind Beneath My Wings doesn't have a good Idol track record, but Craig
did possibly the best vocal of it I've heard. My only complaint was
that it was incredibly short. (It's unbelievable how much invested
effort is put into 1:30 minute performances, and we rarely see them
reach their full potential as artistic performances.)
Finally, Brandon and Chad continue to appear in over their heads,
bringing subpar vocals and amateur night presentation.
Predicted boot: Brandon

Comments: I missed Chad's performance. Eva was stellar yet again. She
picked the right Stones song for her voice and sang it flatout her
way. If you didn't she was contender last week, she proved it this
week. Tyler's performance was on par with last week, only this time,
he had a better song to sing. Ashley's vocals caught up with her great
stage presence. She's slowly putting it together. Steffi vocals were
slightly off, again, but she was weirdly entertaining, again. All the
stage presence in the world couldn't save Rob and Brandon's bad
singing. Sarah went back to her "Since You've Been Gone" days. The
judges think it's regression. I think she was just fine in a
blues-country way. Craig ended the show on a positive note with a
slight return to form. "Time Is On My Side" had some nice R&B-ish
moments for him to exploit. The show was not the trainwreck I thought
it would be.
Predicted boot: Rob
