The Night Before "CHiP"mas.......
T'was the night before Christmas, and all through the station,
the officers were stirring with great anticipation!
The helmets were hung on the motors with care;
you can't be too neat with Sergeant Getraer!
The officers were nestled all snug in their seats,
dreaming of speeders they'd bust on their beats,
and Ponch in his spandex, and Jon in his cap,
had just settled their brains for a long briefing's nap.
When out in the hall, there came such a clatter,
they rose from their chairs to see what was the matter!
Across the floor they flew in a flash,
Tore open the door and made quite a dash!
When what to their wondering eyes should appear,
but a CHP cruiser and eight motors with gear!
With a driver so lively who gave such a glare,
they knew in a moment it must be Getraer!
And he whistled and he shouted and he called them by
name:
"Now Turner, now Grossman, now Bonnie and Bear!
On Baker, on Poncherello, oh, what a pair!!
To your motors and cruisers, have a ball!
Now dash away, dash away, dash away all!"
And giving a nod, down the hall he ran,
he sprang to his motor, to his team gave a plan.
And away they all flew, leaving Harlan alone.
Then Getraer said quite plainly, "Don't forget your Hot
Sheets!"
"Merry Christmas to All! Now hit your beats!"
