TRUTH AND CONSEQUENCES

Rick's admission of his giving the Forrester collection to Jackie M
has fallout for him and Steffy:

Rick and Steffy

Rick's plan backfires and causes Steffy to rethink their relationship.
Steffy is horrified by Rick's revelation that he gave away the
Forrester collection and tells him that he has to confess to his dad.
Steffy's response disappoints Rick, but he agrees to tell his dad the
truth.
Eric is stunned when Rick confesses that he sent their designs to
Jackie M.
Eric lashes out when he learns what Rick did.
Rick assumes he's going to be fired and promises to disappear, but
Eric fears the truth will tear the family apart and keeps Rick's
secret to keep the peace.
Eric meets with Nick about the stolen designs and Rick's deal with
Jackie M.
Pushed into a corner by Eric over the stolen designs, Nick makes a
promise that he could come to regret.
Stephanie stumbles across a series of peculiar situations.
Ridge and Stephanie try to figure out who wronged Eric.
Stephanie vows revenge on the person who stole Eric's designs.
Eric lays down the law to Stephanie, who turns her wrath on Rick.
Nick and Eric settle on a mutually beneficial deal.
Rick conceals his true motives, but Stephanie still manages to kick
him when he is down.
Steffy tries to convince herself that things are finally over with Rick.
Steffy makes a confession to Bridget and Rick does the same with Eric.
Rick tells Eric that Steffy knows about his part in the Jackie M

COMING UP: Stephanie, snooping on Steffy and Rick, gets more than she
expected when she arrives at the beach house. Stephanie overhears Rick
and Steffy talking about how their relationship can overcome Rick's
past bad acts. Ridge has a breakdown. Brooke comforts Ridge, who is
haunted by memories of Phoebe. Stephanie and Rick have an emotional
face-off. Stephanie makes Rick pay using what she overheard. Ridge
explains his feelings to Steffy. Ridge refuses to back down. Steffy
makes a promise she may not be able to keep. Stephanie issues a final
warning. Steffy learns of Stephanie's latest threat and devises a
solution. Rick and Steffy make a risky decision. Taylor, shocked at
having learned the truth, defends her daughter. Taylor calls in
reinforcements and asks her friend James Warwick to help convince
Steffy that her relationship with Rick can only lead to disaster. Rick
is stunned by his mother's less than empathetic reaction when he tells
her what he has done.




FALLOUT

Nick and Jackie thought Jackie M would be saved by their successful
showing, but there's fallout in both the business and in Nick's
personal life.

Katie, Nick and Bridget

Nick worries that he ruined his relationship with Katie.
Katie wonders how she can go home to Nick after what happened.
Nick tells Jackie the news about Eric but she comes to the wrong
conclusion.
Bridget makes a brash move regarding her future when she decides she
wants to be a designer.
Bridget's life-altering decision starts her in a new direction.
Fearing that she'd never be taken seriously at Forrester, Bridget dons
a disguise and submits a portfolio for the designer position at Jackie M.
Jackie likes the portfolio from her mystery designer and sets up a
meeting.
Jackie is surprised to learn the identity of her new designer.
Jackie tentatively agrees to hire Bridget and to keep her identity a
secret from the public.
Bridget is optimistic about her future.
Katie is brutally honest with Nick.

COMING UP: Nick tries to run interference between his mother and
Katie. Bridget begins her new career with a sexy charade posing as
"Madame X." Nick is intrigued and amused when Jackie introduces him to
Madame X, but he figures out who she is. Nick and Katie find peace and
a new level of appreciation for each other.

ATWT Star Expecting!
In the 2/10 issue of Digest, we report that Maura West (Carly, ATWT)
and husband Scott DeFreitas (ex-Andy) will welcome baby No. 5 later
this year. The couple's brood already includes Joseph, who will be 9
in March, Katherine, 7, Basil, 2, and Benjamin, 12, from West's first
marriage. Word is that the pregnancy will not be written in.

February Sweeps Moved To March
Those of you who love February because of all the big storylines will
have to wait just a little bit longer. Because of the digital transfer
in the television world — everyone will now need a cable box — Feb.
sweeps will happen March 5 to April 1. Things are back to normal in
May — sweeps run from April 23 to May 20.

Olivia realizes Christina also thought that she and Natalia were a couple.

Natalia and Frank plan their second date.

Natalia kisses Frank again.

Natalia suggests that Olivia move out if she's concerned about how
their relationship appears to others.

In the meantime, Beth returns to the mansion to tell Alan it's over.

As Beth walks in the door, Alan picks up a sharp letter opener!

Bill tells his father about his plans to locate Phillip.

Will Billy be supportive of Bill's quest?

Bill goes off the find Phillip.

A hungry and tired Bill thinks he has found Phillip's hiding place.

Bill comes up empty in his search, but finds a picture of Lizzie with
Phillip.

Does this mean Phillip is nearby?

While at the shack, Bill sees someone in the distance but can't catch up.

Bill trips and falls, hitting his head on a tree.

We see someone pull Bill onto a gurney and brings him back to the shack.

Bill wakes up to see Billy approaching the shack.

Bill shows his father the picture he found, and his suspicion that
Phillip kidnapped Lizzie.

Bill passes out!

Billy calls Rick, who believes that Bill has food poisoning.

Rick gives Billy instructions on how to get Bill feeling better.

Bill awakens to hear the clink of dog tags like Cyrus and Grady's.

Bill finds that his memory has finally returned!

Bill knows he didn't kidnap Lizzie.

Bill wants to find Lizzie and be there for her, but is it too late?

Dinah arrives to find Shayne trying to jump off a roof!

Dinah gets up on the ledge, angering Shayne.

She pretends to slip to scare him a bit.

Dinah goes to Cedar's after the slip and begs Shayne to stay with her.

A stunned Reva, Josh and Jeffrey don't believe that Edmund is really
Lara's father.

Edmund tells them how he met Lara for the first time.

Be prepared for an interesting week in the LA fashion world. First
up, an emotional and apologetic confession receives a harsh and
judgmental response. Who's fessing up? Who's exhibiting such a lack of
empathy?

snafu causes Steffy to put the instant breaks on their burgeoning
relationship. Shortly thereafter, Steffy tries her best to convince
herself, and Bridget, that she is truly over Rick. But can she really
talk herself out of how she feels?

Meanwhile, Eric pushes Nick into a corner as he confronts him about
the stolen design. This face-off forces Nick to make a difficult
decision. Will he choose wisely? Later, Stephanie makes a solemn vow
that whoever stole Eric's designs will live to regret it. Then, Jackie
comes to the wrong conclusion when Nick delivers news to her about
Eric. Finally, Eric lays down the law to Stephanie who then turns her
wrath upon Rick. Will Rick be able to get himself out of this one?

Lizzie makes a major announcement. She vows to never mix business with

While on the other side of Springfield, it looks like things are

Natalie and Frank, a tiff of sorts is brewing between Natalie and
Olivia. Could it have something to do with Alan, or the fact that some
people thought Nat and Olivia were a couple?

Coop opens up to Beth about his writing project. How will she react?
Here's what's certain. One thing will lead to another and before long
the two will give in to their feelings and make love. The week winds
down when Bill declares that he's going off to track down Phillip.

It is as if they are damned if they do and damned if they don't.
Either way, things continue on a downward spiral for Nick and Sharon

THIS WEEK ON: AS THE WORLD TURNS

Lily becomes upset when she sees that Holden still has an interest in
Carly's well being when it comes to Craig being in her life. Meg and
Dusty jet off to get her a quick divorce from Paul and to wed each
other. Once they get back to Oakdale Meg tells Holden and Lily about
their quick nuptials. Holden is angry that Meg rushed into such a
thoughless move. Dusty in the meantime takes Eliza to visit Paul, who
flips the minute Dusty tells him of his marriage to Meg. Jack and
Janet realize that money issues are hindering them in providing for
their family on Wednesday, January 28. Casey and Alison have some
mis-communication with one another on Friday, January 30.

The Inside Story: There Goes the Bride
Wedding bells ring for Carly, who is less than thrilled about walking
down the aisle with Craig. Tom and Margo, who are in attendence don't
care for how Craig is doing things to get what he wants. Holden also
voices his concerns to Carly about marrying Craig, telling her she
shouldn't just settle for anyone in her life. Sage is still brooding
over the fact that her parents aren't getting back together decides
that she would rather live with Jack and Janet instead of with her
mother. Katie wants to give her support to Craig by going to the
wedding but when Brad objects to it she agrees to stay home. As the
wedding gets underway, Carly begins to have doubts and soon voices to
Craig and all that are there that she can't marry a man she doesn't
love. Craig storms out and later is comforted by Lily and Margo. Later
on, a drunk Craig goes to talk to Carly. He immediately blames her and
tells her that she did it all to see how Holden and Jack would
respond. Staggering off Craig goes to the Lakeview demanding Dusty
give him his son. Meanwhile, Jack, Sage and Parker are all pleased
that Carly did the right thing by saying no to Craig.

A Closer Look: Stirring Up Trouble
Emily contiues to try her best to keep Alison from getting closer to
Casey. When Casey learns that Emily tried talking Alison out of
wanting a relationship with him, he confronts her. Not phased by
Casey's harsh words, Emily decides to go another route to keep Alison
and him apart. When she discovers that Jade has been listening in on
her conversation with Casey, Emily approaches the young woman. She
tells her she will pay her to keep tabs on Casey and Alison and do
whatever she can to keep Casey distracted and away from Alison.

Phyllis's marriage to Nick continues to unravel before her eyes. Brad
continues to have issues with Victor, but on Wednesday, January 28,
Victor puts the smack down by giving him a serious ultimatum. Also on
that same day, Nikki gets some very troubling news about her sister,
Casey. Trouble is Noah's middle name Thursday, January 29.

The Inside Story: She's Just Not That Into You
Unable to forget his love for Sharon, Brad decides to go to the Abbott
cabin where she is as a surprise. Sharon, however, is neither happy or
interested in seeing him and tells him that she's tired of dealing
with people that do nothing but lie and hurt her; and he did that the
minute he decided to go in cahoots with Phyllis to sabatoge her
marriage to Jack. As she and he continue to talk, Brad soon begins to
realize that the only person that will ever have her heart is Nick.
Sharon admits that Nick will always be a part of her life; not only
have they known and loved each other since highschool but they also
have a child together. With his feelings hurt, Brad comes to terms
with Sharon's rejection and promises to leave her alone. Brad soon
departs trying to return home before the storm.

A Closer Look: A Deal with the Devil
After turning Jill, Jeffrey and Jack down flat for her stock, Gloria
agrees to give Victor her Jabot stock for some serious cold hard cash
from him. Victor, however, stresses that Gloria keep her mouth shut as
to who bought the stock. Gloria is thrilled that it was Victor that
has come to her and begins to think about how he could benefit her in
the long run. Unfortunately the jokes on her when Victor secretly
takes the stock and gives it to Jill; but with Victor in control,
there is just one more catch....

Y&R -- "Victor's Shocking Offer" -- Gloria is stunned when Victor
turns up at the jail and offers to buy the 5% of Jabot stock which
Katherine left to Gloria in her will. Victor offers to pay Gloria an
incredible sum of money for the Jabot stock. And Gloria leaps to the
conclusion that Victor will not only help her get out of jail - but
that Victor will see to it that Gloria receives a top position at
Jabot once she is released. Gloria finally agrees and Victor insists
that the sale DEPENDS on Gloria remaining mum about who bought the
stock from her. Of course, Victor immediately double crosses Gloria by
giving the stock to Jill. Victor advises Jill that he is giving the
stock to her ONLY on the condition that Jill appoint BILLY as CEO or
Jabot - ahead of Jack! Although Jill worries about Cane'e reaction
when Cane learns that bit of news, Jill finally agrees to go along
with Victor's plan. At Jimmy's Bar, Brad gloats when Nick shows up in
time to hear Phyllis desperately attempting to convince Brad that the
time is ripe for Brad to drop in on Sharon at the Abbott family's
remote mountain cabin. When Brad cheerfully advises Nick to cut
Phyllis loose and put her out of her misery - Nick ends up punching
Brad! As Nick and Phyllis argue about Phyllis's jealous streak, Nick
declares that he will be packing a bag and staying at the office. then
Nick storms out on Phyllis. Brad is pleased that his trick worked so
well. After Nick storms away and Phyllis rushes out after Nick, Brad
gets on his computer and looks up the location of the Abbott family
cabin. Jana and Daniel are stunned when the pawnshop owner suddenly
turns up while Kevin and Amber are inside the pawnshop, searching for
the records of the shop owner's sale of Katherine's heirloom ring.
Amber and Kevin manage to duck out of the pawn shop before the
pawnshop owner enters the shop - but, in their scramble to hustle on
out of there, they leave behind a clue. Billy is impressed when Victor
tells Billy that, because of Victor's deep respect and affection for
Billy's sister, Ashley, Billy will ALWAYS be welcome at Newman.
RICHARD WHARTON appears as The Wily Pawn Broker on January 26.

Y&R -- "Esther's Marriage Proposal" -- When Roger proposes to Esther,
Cane and Lily are stunned when they hear Esther admitting that perhaps

FRIDAY, JANUARY 30, 2009 -- SUMMARY OF THE WEEK'S EVENTS
Y&R -- After a bitter argument, the distance between Nick and Phyllis
continues to grow. Victor makes Gloria an offer she can't refuse. As
soon as he leaves the jail, however, Victor double-crosses Gloria.
Nikki receives bad news about her sister, Casey. Kevin and Amber try
to help Katherine regain her identity, but will they get in over their
heads? Katherine's campaign to prove her identity runs into a snag
when the court does NOT approve the DNA test! Victor gives Brad an
ultimatum. Billy continues to be concerned about Chloe's baby. Brad is
disappointed when he pays Sharon a surprise visit at the Abbott cabin.

KATHERINE'S PLAN TO PROVE HER IDENTITY RUNS INTO ANOTHER SNAG --
Unaware that Amber, Kevin, Daniel and Jana have decided to break into
the pawn shop in order to learn WHO bought Katherine's heirloom ring
from the pawn broker, Kay is devastated when Michael arrives with the
news that the court has ruled that there is NOT enough evidence to
suppose that 'Marge' might actually be Katherine - and the judge has
ruled that he can NOT order Jill to cooperate by undergoing a DNA test
which would prove whether or not Jill and Kay were related. Then
Michael decides that it might help if Katherine actually confronted
the jeweler who purchased Kay's ring from the pawnbroker! Michael
arranges for the jeweler to visit Murphy's trailer - and has Katherine
dressed to the 9's. When the jeweler arrives and presents the ring to
Kay, the ring fits perfectly when Kay tries it on. Michael and
Katherine manage to convince the jeweler to loan the ring to them
while they establish Katherine's identity. The next step in their plan
is for Kay to confront the pawnbroker who originally purchased the
ring and try to get the pawnbroker to admit that he DID purchase the
ring from Katherine. Murphy tags along - with a back up plan in mind.
Perhaps, if friendly persuasion does NOT work on the pawnbroker, a
little UN-friendly persuasion will do the trick!

SHARON AND JACK SAY A SAD FAREWELL -- Sharon is not really surprised
when Jack turns up at the Abbott cabin. Jack explains that he got the
divorce papers and wants to make one more attempt to patch things up.
While Jack is there, the cabin's generator goes out and Jack gets busy
fixing it up. While Jack is there, Jack is able to share some quiet
time with Sharon, but, eventually, Jack finally agrees that there is
now too much water under the bridge to repair all that has gone wrong
with their marriage. After sharing a sad farewell, Jack leaves and
Sharon is once again alone at the cabin. But not for long!

BRAD IS UNLUCKY IN LOVE - AGAIN -- Believing that the time is right
for him to be able to convince Sharon of his genuine love and
affection for her, Brad decides to surprise Sharon while Sharon is
staying at the remote Abbott cabin. However, when Brad arrives, he is
disappointed when he realizes that Sharon actually resents his
intrusion. As Sharon lectures Brad about his lack of candor and the
foolishness of throwing in to assist Phyllis in breaking up Sharon's
marriage to Jack, Brad suddenly realizes the Sharon STILL loves Nick!
After Sharon admits that she may still be more tied to Nick than she
would like to admit, Brad apologies for the intrusion and decides to
leave. However, after Brad leaves, a fierce winter storm hits the area
where the cabin is located.

Weekly, 8-19-2008, P.6), CHRIS ENGEN (Adam) says: "The (producers)
want the character to transition the way that Michael Corleone did in
THE GODFATHER. That is a tall order -- to transition from the good
innocent country boy to (someone) corrupted by power and consumed by
evil... That is what I have been trying to do."

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 2009 -- WINTER PREVIEWS
Y&R -- A SPRING WEDDING is reportedly in the works - but no details
have been released yet.

VICTOR continues to plot to make Jack pay for fabricating Victor's
fraudulent diary - and makes plans to hit Jack where it will hurt Jack
the most. Jack becomes suspicious that Victor IS plotting revenge -
while Ashley sits on the fence - committed to Victor but sympathetic
toward Jack's point of view. Jack is destined to experience a huge
reversal of fortune. In the meantime, there IS a possibility that
Victor's attitude toward Adam COULD thaw!

PHYLLIS FUMES while Nick and Sharon grow closer and seem to be
spending a LOT of time together, dealing with issues concentrated on
Noah. Meanwhile, Daniel and Amber's relationship remains solid.
Current speculation is that MICHAEL GRAZIADEI, who appears as Daniel,
does NOT plan to sign a new contract when his current contract expires
in MARCH of 2009.

SUPPOSEDLY - Brad's exit will be 'an incredibly dramatic story' of
'operatic proportions.' SUPPOSEDLY - Brad's exit will change the lives
of many people in Genoa City forever - (We'll believe it when we see

TALES FROM THE INTERVIEW

Danielle McClure: As any GL fan who's met her in person knows, Gina
Tognoni (Dinah) is a bundle of fierce energy. She radiates good vibes and
she has such a tremendous spirit that you can't help feeling cheerful when
you're around her. So, when I sat down with the actress to discuss her now
four-year tenure on GL as well as her upcoming wedding (she's set to marry
her longtime beau, Joseph Chiarrello in May), Tognoni was, not
surprisingly, super ecstatic to dish about all the planning details
regarding her Florida nups. "Why Florida?" she grins. "Because we wanted
to do a destination wedding and initially we wanted to do Bermuda. Well,
Bermuda wasn't really feasible for lots of different reasons. One because
you have to have passports and not all of our friends have passports so we
didn't want to go there -- it would be too difficult. Palm Beach is so
similar to Bermuda in lots of ways and my father also lives in Florida.
I'm a big fan of Florida and it's just easy to get to so we said, 'That's
it!'" But, as Tognoni explains, choosing a destination wasn't the most
difficult part of the process. "The hardest was the guest list ...
excruciating! It's huge for me. I've never thrown this big of a party.
It's insane. You're throwing a knock-down party for over 100 people. It's
big by my standards. Anything under 200 is not considered big, apparently.
I am excited to kind of just get through that day. It's a bummer that you
wait a year for this one day and it goes so quickly!" Read more about

Tom Stacy: They say that when a woman's looking for a man, a good guide to
judge him is by how he treats his mother. Well, if that's true, Vivian
Weitz is a very lucky gal. Vivian, of course, is the wife of GH's Bruce
Weitz (Anthony), and he speaks with nothing but love and adoration of his
89-year-old mother in his Digest feature. "Her name is Sybil, and she's a
tiger," he grins. He continues to note the impact Sybil has had on his
career. (He jokes that if she'd had her druthers, he would have passed on
HILL STREET BLUES because of the wardrobe) and credits her for GH keeping
him on ("I think my mother wrote about 5,000 letters," he laughs). While
he's no mama's boy, get a never-before-seen glimpse of the softer side of
Port Charles's tough talking mob boss in the latest issue of Digest.

their point with a package of Maxwell House coffee. S&K lovers also sent a
tin of Mrs. Fields cookies to Stephanie Sloane. Kimber from Clarksville,
TN wrote, "I thought I'd share some cookies with you since DAYS won't
share Steve and Kayla with us!" Since it's my birthday and my nickname is
actually Cookie, I was the beneficiary of this tin, which Steph passed on

Advice for a bad hair day?
"Keep it simple. Take a couple of bobby pins, do a little French twist and
pin it back." What hair products do you swear by? "I use the Pureology
line. I'm not big on product. My mother always taught me to wash and
condition but not use a lot of hairspray or gel. She likes simplicity."
Did you ever have a perm? "No and I would never! Never in a million years.
I have naturally curly hair so I'm always trying to straighten it. I also
think it's less flattering on women. Fake curls don't look good." What's
the weirdest beauty advice you've gotten? "My grandmother is old-school.
She was raised in Iran and she mentioned something they would use locally.
She lived in the outskirts of the capital city in a village-type
environment so she said egg yolk on the hair. I can't imagine doing that!"

Bridget and that sexy scoundrel Owen. I love how the sparks flew between
them and love that these two flirt and laugh and smile together. Bridget

I have attended two DAYS Charity events so far! I had an amazing time, and
have met so many wonderful people. I attended the Days Charity Event in
Burlington last August, where I met James Scott (EJ), Matthew Ashford
(ex-Jack), Darin Brooks (Max), Thaao Penghlis (Tony), Lauren Koslow
(Kate), Bryan Dattilo (Lucas), Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe) and Brandon Beemer
(Owen, B&B; ex-Shawn, DAYS). It was a wonderful experience, and gave me
memories for a lifetime!! My husband Ron bid on a sketch of James Scott
during the live auction, and we paid $900 for it in honor of my
grandmother who passed away from diabetes. The sketch artist was Steve
O'Brien, and his work is phenomenal. I have e-mailed him since the event,
and he spent over 60 hours sketching the drawing. I also had an
opportunity to have dinner at the sponsorship lunch, which was amazing. My
husband and I, along with a few other lucky fans, had great conversations
with James and all the other stars who attended. James Scott was kind
enough to personally autograph the sketch for us! I had a wonderful time!

drug story, rather than an insecure follower?

7. Talk about gall! After weeks of accusing Kevin of killing "Mrs. C,"
Y&R's Amber wants to team up with him to prove Kay's true identity.

8. So much for being an ace bodyguard. DAYS OF OUR LIVES' Rafe left Sami
in the protective hands of Sister Theresa.

9. It was somewhat depressing to see GUIDING LIGHT's glum Olivia have her
dinner at home by herself...but something tells us she should enjoy these
quiet times while she can.

WHY WE CLAPPED
GENERAL HOSPITAL's Maxie and Spinelli never seemed more grown up than they
did when childishly lashing out at each other after sleeping together once
more. When their characters got naked, Kirsten Storms and Bradford
Anderson stripped away the artifice and mannerisms Maxie and Spinelli
usually hide behind to find the people underneath. Anderson gave us a
Spinelli who was truly wounded by Maxie's subterfuge, while Storms'
good-time girl found herself taken aback by the fact that a guy would
truly like her instead of just want to sleep with her. Maxie and Spinelli
knew just what to say to insult each other, while Storms and Anderson
delivered the lines with aplomb and endured their cruelty with heart. They
were indivisible as their characters were torn apart, and thus deserved
joint Applause, Applause kudos for Issue 5.

--From Senior Writer/Editor Joe Diliberto: BURN NOTICE returned to USA
this week for the second half of its second season, and star Jeffrey
Donovan (ex-Dwayne "Popper" Collins, ANOTHER WORLD) admits that shooting
the spy series gives him a chance to pick up some rather...unorthodox
procedures. "It's a nice little bonus to be able to learn a new skill
every week," Donovan smiles. "It's a lot of fun to learn those little
skills. Some of them you can use in everyday life, and some of them you
can't. One that I've been able to use is how to bug my co-stars' dressing
room (laughs). One I don't really use that much is how to make a bomb out
of a toaster." Help make sure BURN NOTICE doesn't...er, bomb in the
ratings by watching it every Thursday at 10 p.m. on USA.

THE WE IN WEEKLY

--From Assistant Editor Julie Globus: Personally, I'm sad ALL MY CHILDREN
made the decision to kill off Josh. I've always thought that character had
so much potential, and yet he barely had any story after his initial
storyline with Babe. At the very least, they didn't have to turn him into
such a bad guy before he died. One minute he was the man taking care of
Kendall and the boys when Zach went missing, and the next, he's robbing
Cambias? Such a shame.

--From Senior Editor Gabrielle Winkel: So I'm watching television -- no
surprise there -- and was delighted to see John Rue (Moe, OLTL) on DAMAGES
last Wednesday (Jan. 22). He's the assistant to the bad guy. (DAMAGES can
get very complicated, so I'm not quite sure of the names yet.) So I gave a
little cheer for the Llanview team. Speaking of complicated shows -- can
we spell LOST? I love this show, but I just wish they'd do the "enhanced"
episodes every week for those of us who get confused regarding the time
travel, etc. Good grief. Where do these guys come up with these ideas?
Daytime can be less complicated, and I guess I'm grateful for that. I've
got to say I remain devoted to that speedy soap, THE BOLD AND THE
BEAUTIFUL. It's fun to watch, because everything happens so fast. No long,
drawn-out storylines there. People fall in love in the course of the
22-minute episode. Naturally, I'm speaking of Steffy and Rick. (Poor
Marcus, right?) I suggest they just elope, already. That would really make
Ridge angry. Note the speed in which Jackie pulled off that fashion show.
"Here are the stolen designs, and let's put on a show." No time to waste.

IT'S MY PARTY

--From Assistant Editor Meridith M. Miller: This week, I went to
Washington, D.C., for the inauguration of President Barack Obama. It was
an amazing experience, and I had a wonderful time meeting a few of the
millions of people who ventured to the city from all over the U.S. and the
world to celebrate and witness the historic event. Since all of you soap
readers out there have different views, I'll skip the political commentary
and focus on the parties. The weekend leading up to the swearing-in was
full of events and galas. I went to a few of them, but the one that stood
out was The Daily Voice's Inaugural Reception and Hope Awards. One of the
Web site's 12 honorees was former GREY'S ANATOMY star Isaiah Washington
(ex-Burke). Washington has been rumored to not have the most pleasant
attitude, but I'm happy to report that through a brief interaction, he
seemed to be a very nice and humble guy. I don't agree with everything
he's said or done, but seeing him be so gracious with fans was very
touching. As a huge GREY'S fan, I really just wanted to ask, "How could
you have left Dr. Yang at the altar like that?" but of course, I thought
that would be inappropriate.
