TURMOIL
Storm's actions toward Ashley turn creepy. Bridget faces off with
Katie. Rick's plans to get Jack back in Taylor's arms come to a head
in the courtroom. Sounds like trouble is brewing all over Los Angeles!
Taylor, Nick, Ridge and Brooke
Storm's behavior becomes increasingly obsessive as his evening with
Ashley comes to an end.
Ashley thanks Ridge for warning her about Storm, promising to keep the
details of the shooting to herself.
Ridge puts his relationship on the line to protect Ashley.
Put on the spot by Bridget, Katie comes clean about kissing Nick.
Bridget confronts Katie about her involvement with Nick.
Bridget decides to fight for Nick.
Bridget gives Katie a stern warning.
Rick comes up with a plan to help Taylor regain custody of Jack.

After rigging Eric's phone, Pam is delighted to overhear Donna voicing
her insecurity about her and Eric's relationship.
COMING UP: Brooke challenges Taylor after Rick makes a startling
revelation in the courtroom. Taylor tells Rick she can't reply to his
marriage proposal until she talks it over with her kids, especially
Phoebe. Thanks to Nick's testimony that he's not opposed to joint
custody, Taylor regains her parental rights. Rick shares the plans he
has made with Taylor. Storm arrives with a special gift, making Ashley
uneasy. Nick overhears Storm tell Katie about his concern that Ashley
knows he shot Stephanie. After learning that Storm shot Stephanie,
Nick confronts Katie. Katie asks Nick not to tell anyone, trying to
explain Storm's actions. When events transpire that are beyond the
Logan family's control, their lives are changed forever. During an
emotional confrontation, Donna's fear of Pam escalates. During an
impromptu family meeting, Stephanie makes a surprising announcement.
Donna questions Stephanie's intentions and warns Eric to be cautious.
After Tiny turns up dead, Pam blames Donna and vows revenge.

Rick joins forces with Taylor this week to help his new love regain

Katie's wedding. With three of former husbands beside her, Katie heads
to the altar with Brad. It's sure to be one heck of an event. We're
talking Tivo time.
Meanwhile, Jack has acted in such a way that has Carly fit to be tied.
In fact, she lambasts him for breaking her rules. Just what rules he

Ricks lays it all on the line so Taylor can regain custody of Jack.
"When push comes to shove, Rick is like, 'Taylor you deserve to have
your son, and I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure that
happens,'" previews Kyle Lowder.
Everything in his power - and Forrester's. "One night when Taylor has
lost it, Rick says, 'You know what? Let me handle it,'" says Lowder.
"He meets up with some Forrester attorneys and draws up paperwork that
he can hopefully get Nick to sign, saying she could basically have her
child back."
With renewed hope, Taylor goes to Nick with the papers. But as the duo
go back and forth - with Katie's two cents thrown in - things look
grim. Rick passionately defends his new ladylove's right to Jack and,
"Nick is kind of taken aback," admits Lowder. "He even has a line
where he's like, 'You can't just walk into my house and expect me to
just sign this thing. Quite frankly Rick, this is none of your business.'"
Rick disagrees. "His emotions get the best of him. Tensions reach the
boiling point, and Rick freaks out. He's like, 'Fine. We don't need
your help.' He rips up the papers and storms out. It's definitely a
soap moment," laughs Lowder.
One that leaves Taylor more demoralized than ever. "They go back to
the house and Taylor's really upset saying, 'Nothing's going to work.'
Rick says, 'Let's go out for a swim in the moonlight and just enjoy
ourselves and have fun.' It's just him trying to set her mind at ease."
To no avail - even when Taylor's psych evaluation is messengered over,
revealing her mind is perfectly fine. "She is a stable person going
through a very difficult time, and the emotions that she's showing are
nothing more than what any normal person would be going through,"
affirms Lowder. "Rick sees that she's worked very hard to get back to
that place, and he's overcome with emotion, like, 'Yes! We're going to
court and we'll get your child back and you're going to live happily
ever after.'"
With Rick, who then shocks Taylor with his most romantic declaration
yet. "Whatever he's feeling in that moment," hints Lowder, "he doesn't
necessarily think about the consequences."

From the new SOD, just some tidbits
Cassie and Cyrus sleep together after they get drunk. Cassie intiates

Cane is going to propose to Lily. No word on whether she accepts
The show has put out a casting call for a Dru look alike in her
thirties and they are casting a young actress to play a six year old Lily.
The speculation is that Lily is going to have flashbacks to scenes of
her with her mother when she was a little girl.
The rumors continue that this is all paving the way for Dru to return
either to be portrayed by VR or by another actress.

Sabrina wants to house the museum in the same building as Restless
Style. But she is afraid that because of the animosity between Nick
and the Victor, Nick won't rent to her. Victor tells her that he holds
the mortgage on the building so Nick will have to rent to her. When
Victoria finds out her father owns the mortgage on the building she
blasts him and tells him he bought up the mortgage so that he can hurt
Nick for walking away from him just like he tried to do with Nikki.
When Victoria tells Nick he rips into Victor and tells him he has no
more love left for him.
Sabrina is at Victoria's house and tells her she is sleeping with her
father. Victoria goes ballistics. She blasts Sabrina and throws her
out of her house. Victoria tells Nikki who is not surprised. Nikki
says she suspected that Victor and Sabrina were having a fling.
Victoria worries that it could turn into more than a fling.
Victoria is furious with her father as well and turns on him.
'Y&R': Model career about to hit a bump

Jabot's hottest young model is pregnant on "The Young and the
Restless," but her biggest problem next week will be telling her dad.
"Lily is in L.A. doing a photo shoot and she calls him," says Christel
Khalil, who plays the expectant Lily. "She says, 'Can we meet for
dinner?' Then she says, 'Oh, no. Let's have lunch,' because she can't
wait any longer. They go to the G.C.A.C. and she tells him."
Daddy's reaction?
"He's shocked," says Khalil. "He's like, 'Oh my gosh. My baby girl is
pregnant.' He's not angry. Just extremely disappointed."
Neil is even more shocked when Lily confides her plans.
"She says, 'Dad, I don't know if I'm keeping the baby,'" says Khalil.
"He's definitely not happy about that. He doesn't want her to [have an
abortion]. He says, 'We can do this. I'll turn Devon's room into a
nursery.' When she tells him Cane asked her to marry him, he says,
'Oh, that's good!' He's very traditional."
Lily leaves their lunch more confused than ever.
"Lily can't imagine having the baby, and she can't imagine not," says
Khalil. "She doesn't know what this is going to do to her modeling
career. She doesn't know if she could keep working or even if she'd
want to. She has no time for both modeling and school now, so she
won't have time for a baby, either."
Viewers know that Lily just got two lucrative modeling contracts - one
with her boyfriend Cane's company, Jabot, and one with Forrester
Creations. When her agent spies her getting sick next week, she
assumes Lily has an eating disorder.
"Lily tries to tell Chloe, 'I'm not bulimic!'" says Khalil. But no
matter what she says, Chloe doesn't believe her. Finally, she comes
out and just tells her.
Chloe is not pleased that her biggest client is pregnant, in light of
the big deals she has just scored for her.
"Lily's more scared of losing her modeling career because she knows
her dad loves her. He'll always be there for her to support her."
Not so, the fickle modeling world.
"I'd like to see Lily continue the modeling story line, I love that,"
says Khalil. "But what do I know? I didn't even know she was going to
get pregnant."
Rumor has it that whether Lily chooses abortion or not, she won't
carry this baby to term. Is there a soap opera staircase in her future?
"I wish!" says the actress, eager for some stunt work. "That would be
awesome."
More far-fetched is the way the handsome Cane acts all next week,
repeating his marriage proposal to Lily even though they haven't been
dating very long and used birth control when they had sex.
"In real life, Cane would be like, 'Get out of my house,'" quips the
actress. "'That baby's not mine - I used a condom!'"

Cassie and Cyrus have Sex!
A heated argument with Josh leads Cassie to Cyrus' bed this week.
"It's not a love match," insists Nicole Forester [Cassie]. "Since Will
is gone, Cassie hates her life. She wants to escape, and not be
'Cassie with the dead daughter and the troubled son.' "
To take a break from being the depressed preacher's wife, Cassie
begins wearing sexy clothes and flirting with men at bars. When she
learns that Josh has been hiding letters to her from Will, she
confronts him. They have a huge fight, which fuels her need to escape.
"Cassie is in her car, changing into a flirty top, when Cyrus pulls up
and says, 'Lets go and have a drink,' " says Forester. "They go
drinking and have fun. Cassie is getting the relief from herself that
she has been wanting."
Post-boozing, Cyrus and Cassie go for a wild ride. "They're drinking
and driving and being irresponsible," sighs Forester. After they pull
over, Cassie kisses Cyrus and they run to a near-by barn to get busy.
"They're making out, and then they hit the floor and have sex!
Immediately after, they're ashamed, shocked, and very uncomfortable."
Cassie returns home to reality, where Josh tells Cassie that he got
Will out of isolation. She retorts back to Josh that she committed
adultery. "Cassie doesn't think that Josh was on her side about Will,"
says Forester. "She feels so bad, so she confesses to him."
A furious Josh packs his bags and heads to a church convention. "It's
not clear whether if he is going to come back," rues Forester.
Cyrus and Cassie run into each other while Josh is away, and agreed to
stay mum about their hookup. "It's never going to happen again,"
assures Forester. "There's no need to tell Josh exactly who it was.
And Cyrus is Cassie's best friend's boyfriend, so Harley never needs
to know."
Hoping to put her life back together, Cassie leaves Josh countless
messages to come back home. "Josh is this wonderful empathetic man,"
sighs Forester. "Cassie's a former stripper. She doesn't feel worthy
of him. This incident makes her look at herself and say, 'Maybe I'm
not up to being a minister's wife.' "

Has GL gone too far?
Taking Ashlee through gastric banding surgery has raised the eyebrows
about whether GL is setting a positive example for young viewers.
Executive Producer Ellen Wheeler says yes.
SOW: Is it extreme to have Ashlee prepare for gastric banding surgery
when fans haven't seen her trying to eat healthy or work out?
Wheeler: Just because we haven't seen Ashlee exercise doesn't mean
that she doesn't. I don't know that last time that we saw Ava
exercise. We don't spend a lot of time talking about exercise or
eating habits of characters until it is a part of a story that needs
to be told.
SOW: We haven't seen Ashlee appear unhappy with her weight. Doesn't
surgery seem rash?
Wheeler: We're taking great care to show Ashlee thinking about what
she wants. It's not as though she randomly decides one day, or doesn't
go back and forth about it.
SOW: Is GL sending the message with this drastic surgery that thinner
is better?
Wheeler: This decision comes from Ashlee, because of how she feels
about herself, not how other people feel about her. We make it
evidently clear that Coop loves Ashlee how she is, because of who she
is and how she looks now. It's certainly not that he puts the pressure
on her, or that she feels the pressure [to be thin].
SOW: How will this story affect Ashlee's fans who love her for being
such a nontraditional beauty?
Wheeler: I agree that people love Ashlee for who she is, but it's
because they love her that this will be a wonderful and fascinating
journey for all of us to take with her.
SOW: Couldn't Ashlee have gone on a journey of natural weight loss
instead of gastric banding?
Wheeler: It's a personal decision for Ashlee, the same as it is for
anyone who might make it. This is the option that Ashlee chose.
SOW: Will viewers see the emotion effects of Ashlee's decision
addressed in future episodes, since they weren't addressed prior to
her visit to the doctor?
Wheeler: We would be remiss to not explain why the things that are
happening to Ashlee are happening.
SOW: What do you hope to ultimately achieve with this story?
Wheeler: There are thousands of Americans making similar decisions
every day. For some, it may be "Its been a goal all my life to wear a
bikini." For others, it's because diabetes runs in their family. These
are real issues, and we need to not shy away from them. I have
children. I want them to understand all of the options available to
them, to make sure they have healthy lives.

Ashlee checks into the hospital for her controversial gastric banding
procedure this week. John Driscoll (Coop) reveals why Ashlee really
went under the knife- and why Coop insisted that they have sex for the
first time before the surgery.
SOW: Why does Ashlee decide to have weight-loss surgery?
Driscoll: Part of the reason goes back to Doris not empowering her,
and Ashlee having Doris put her down.
SOW: How does Doris react to Ashlee's decision?
Driscoll: Doris finds out about the surgery because she snoops through
Ashlee's planner. She comes running in as Ashlee is being wheeled into
the procedure. Doris thinks that it's Coop's fault. Coop reminds Doris
it's because she doesn't trust Ashlee that Ashlee wants to change, so
she can do better.
SOW: Was Coop aware that Ashlee had been struggling with insecurity
about her weight issues?
Driscoll: At the moment, Coop is engulfed in what's going on with his
book deal, so there are lots of little things he didn't see, like the
food [issues] she's struggling with and the boutique shop [size problems].
SOW: How does Coop feel about the surgery?
Driscoll: He asks Ashlee to reconsider. It hits him like a ton of
bricks when she says "I'm going to go ahead and do this." Her mind is
made up, so all that he can do is be supportive of her.
SOW: Does Coop reassure Ashlee that he loves her the way that she is?
Driscoll: When he realizes that he can't stop her, he says, "Let me
spend the night with you." It's his way of showing through thick or
thin, before and after, he'll be there.
SOW: How does their first night together turn out?
Driscoll: It's a very big thing for Ashlee. It's emotional for her. It
was very well done and the viewers will be happy.
SOW: What happens when Ashlee comes out of surgery?
Driscoll: Coop tries to make jokes to lift her spirits, and he tells
her that he's now a published author.
SOW: Does Ashlee seem pleased with her decision?
Driscoll: She keeps a stiff upper lip and puts up a strong front.
SOW: Is she not completely confident in her choice?
Driscoll: She will be. In the following weeks you're going to see a
new, stronger Ashlee.
SOW: What kind of research did Caitlin Van Zandt (Ashlee) do to
prepare for this life-changing surgery?
Driscoll: The writers did the research. They told the story well by
showing Ashlee going through pamplets, looking on-line and speaking
with doctors. In telling a good story, you have to go through this.
SOW: We heard that Caitlin knows something about this topic too, right?
Driscoll: I don't want to say that Caitlin did. As an artist, Caitlin
was able to get into the character and bring some good stuff to this
story.
SOW: How will Ashlee losing weight affect the couple's future?
Driscoll: Fans are going to see the two of them leaning on each other
more. Coop's going to be more attentive to her, since she's going
through such an ordeal. When Coop came into Ashlee's life, they were
friends first, so it'll play out well.

Sabrina wants to house the museum in the same building as Restless
Style. But she is afraid that because of the animosity between Nick
and Victor that Nick won't rent to her. Victor tells her that he holds
the mortgage on the building so Nick will have to rent to her. When
Victoria finds out her father owns the mortgage on the building she
blasts him and tells him he bought up the mortgage so that he can hurt
Nick for walking away from him just like he tried to do with Nikki.
When Victoria tells Nick he rips into Victor and tells him he has no
more love left for him.
Sabrina is at Victoria's house and tells her she is sleeping with her
father. Victoria goes ballistics. She blasts Sabrina and throws her

LILY DISCOVERS THAT SHE IS EXPECTING
When Lily continues to eat little and appears lethargic, Cane asks if
she might be pregnant. Lily insists that there is NO possibility of a
pregnancy, because they used protection. After Cane reassures Lily of
his support, Lily decides to take a pregnancy test. After Lily picks
up the test, she takes it back to the dorm, where she runs into Devon.
Devon immediately begins to hassle Lily about working too hard and
Lily argues back. However, in the middle of the argument, Lily becomes
ill and rushes off to the lady's room. When Lily leaves, Devon picks
up Lily's purse and spots the pregnancy test. However, when Lily
returns, Devon says nothing about his discovery. Lily is stunned when
the test turns up a positive result. Lily finds Cane and lets Cane
know what she has learned. Cane again reassures Lily of his support,
but Lily insists that she needs some time to think before making any
decisions about her future. Lily stops by the dance studio where Dru
used to go and has a chat with one of Dru's old friends. Later, Lily
confides her news to Colleen. Colleen urges Lily to let Neil know
right away, but Lily is not so sure that the time is right for Neil to
know. While Lily is mulling over her decision, Chloe calls and advises
Lily that she is needed at Jabot as soon as possible. Lily immediately
worries that Jill has somehow learned about Lily's condition - and
plans to dismiss Lily from the 'Fresh Face of Jabot' publicity campaign.
GLORIA KICKS JEFF OUT OF ABBOTT MANSION - BUT JEFF THREATENS TO REVEAL
GLORIA'S SECRET TO THE WORLD
At Abbott Mansion, as Jeff and Gloria as beginning to get cozy
together, they are interrupted when Jeff's Korean girlfriend, Kyon,
bursts in on them. After a lot o shouting, Kyon promises to tell
Gloria ALL about Jeffrey - and hustles Gloria on down to the wine
cellar so Gloria and Kyon can celebrate learning the truth. However,
when they get downstairs, Kyon shoves Gloria inside the wine cellar,
slams the door, then heads back upstairs to 'discuss' their
relationship with Jeff. However, Alistair arrives and is spotted by
Kyon. Kyon begins shouting at Alistair and shoves him out the door.
However, Alistair spots Gloria's purse and realizes that Gloria IS at
the mansion. Suspecting that Gloria could be in trouble, Alistair
finds another entrance and sneaks in again. As he creeps around -
Alistair spots Jeff, getting coy with Kyon. After locating Gloria's
jacket, Alistair grabs the house keys from the jacket pocket, then
begins exploring the mansion, in search of Gloria. Of course, the room
in the mansion which would draw Alistair like a magnet would be the
wine cellar. When he arrives, Alistair can hear Gloria, calling for
help. Alistair manages to pick the lock and open the door to the wine
cellar. However, after Alistair enters the wine cellar, the door slams
behind him and he is locked in with Gloria - AND all of that fine
wine! While they are locked in, Alistair fills Gloria in on all of the
lurid details about Jef's cozy 'discussions' with Kyon. Gloria is
desperate to get out so she can 'rescue' Jeff - but Alistair assures
Gloria that Jef is NOT worthy of her concern. Eventually Alistair and
Gloria manage to open the wine cellar door once again - and race
upstairs. Once Gloria gets a good look at Jeff and Kyon's coziness,
Gloria tosses BOTH Jeff AND Kyon out of the house. Jeff threatens to
blab to the world everything he knows about Gloria's secret. Gloria is
so fed up that she retorts that she no longer cares - she would RATHER
be in prison than with Jeff. After Jeff leaves, Alistair finds himself
in a predicament. Alistair has already taken money from Jill and Kay
in order to learn WHAT secret Gloria is hiding which Jeff has been
holding over Gloria's head - and report what he learns back to Jill
and Kay. Since Alistair is ALWAYS in need of ready cash - Alistair is
torn between the desire to collect his reward from Jill and Kay - and
his desire to become Gloria's white knight and rescue Gloria from her
present predicament.

SUMMARY OF THE WEEK'S EVENTS 4/7 - 4/11
After returning from their romantic trip to Los Angeles, Victor and
Sabrina hit the sheets. Gloria finally gives in to Jeff's advances,
only to be interrupted by Jeff's very angry Korean girlfriend, Kyon.
Lily receives shocking news which COULD destroy her modeling career.
Nick becomes annoyed with Adam's flirtatious actions whenever Adam is
around Phyllis. Michael serves Jack with lawsuit papers, but Jack is
determined to beat Michael at his own game.
David pushes Nikki to set a date for their wedding, but Nikki is still
unsure about David's gambling addiction -- and continues to put David
off. Brad hires a bookie to tempt David to gamble. The bookie calls
Brad to inform Brad that David HAS placed a bet.
Jeff tries to convince Kyon that they are finished. Kyon locks Gloria
in the wine cellar. Alistair finds Gloria, only to end up locked in
the wine cellar with her. Alistair tells Gloria what he saw between
Jeff and Kyon. Alistair tempts Gloria to tell him everything about
what is going on between Gloria and Jeff.
Lily tells Cane that she is pregnant. Daniel tries to convince Amber
that their relationship is serious. Victor and Sabrina hit the sheets.
Neil helps Karen unpack her things as she moves into Neil's apartment.
Still uneasy about Adam, J.T. suggests doing a background check for
Victoria. Jack is served with a $2 million lawsuit from Michael.
Sharon is stunned when Jack buys a house before Sharon sees it.
Michael gives Victor the paperwork to start the art foundation, as
well as to work on something for Adam. Nick and Victoria discuss Adam
and decide that Adam is out to take everything they have.

Newman leads CBS' soap marketing

Exec named VP of daytime
CBS has created an exec position in sudser marketing and tapped
Michelle Newman to fill it.
Newman will serve as VP of daytime programming and marketing,
reporting to CBS daytime topper Barbara Bloom.
She will head marketing efforts on behalf of the Eye's four soaps, as
well as quizzer "The Price Is Right." Newman will also work with Bloom
on programming issues.
Newman has been at CBS since 2003, serving as creative director for
daytime on-air promotion. Before joining the Eye, she spent three
years at ABC and four years at Fox cutting on-air promos.

Victoria joins the "lets hate Victor club" this week after she finds
out that a) holds the mortgage of the Restless Style building and b )
is having an affair with Sabrina.
"Suffice to say that she's not very happy," notes Amelia Heinle
(Victoria). "Victoria is shocked and very disgusted at this." She
finds out that be bought the Restless Style building first. "Victoria
thinks Victor did it just to be controlling of Nick," says Heinle.
'Victor and Nick have been in a fight for awhile. It's just typical of
Victor's behavior. He's always trying to maintain control over his
children."
Victor insists that he bought the building to protect his son, 'but
Victoria isn't buying that at all," insists Heinle. 'She feels that
her father has manipulated things'."
Before Victoria can come to terms with that, she's hit with the other
bombshell. "They're having lunch when Sabrina says that they have
something to talk about' explains Heinle. "She tells Victoria that she
has been seeing someone. Victoria is all excited for Sabrina and asks
if it's someone that she knows. Sabrina says 'Yes, it's your father."
Not surprisingly, Victoria is "angry" notes Heinle. "She and Sabrina
have words and she tells Sabrina to get out of her house." Later,
Victoria calls Nick, hysterical, and he rushes to be with her. When he
arrives, Victoria fills him in on Victor and Sabrina's affair and the
mortgage situation."
"Nick doesn't see the affair as a big deal," notes Heinle. "So
Victoria puts things into perspective. She asks Nick 'What if it was
Mom dating one of your friends? How would you feel?' Then she tells
Nick about Victor holding [the deed] to the building, and he's pretty
ticked off."
Still upset, Victoria shares her father's latest antics with Nikki,
who assures her Victor and Sabrina are simply having a fling. But
Victoria isn't so sure. "Sabrina told Victoria [the relationship] is
serious" says Heinle. "Victoria's worried that it could be love!"
And the thought of her best friend becoming her stepmommy scares her
to death. As it should.

Pregnant and with a blossoming modeling career, Lily decides whether
to keep the baby or to have an abortion this week. Christel Khalil
discusses her characters dilemma for Soap Opera Weekly.
SOW: What is Lily thinking?
Khalil: Lily's upset because she was following in her mother's
footsteps and starting to have a big career. Now, all of a sudden,
this happened. It definately puts a kink in her plans.
SOW: Does Cane offer to be there when Lily decides to tell her father?
Khalil: Yes. Cane wants to let Neil know that he's going to be
involved in this pregnancy, that he wants to raise a child. But Lily
believes that it would be best if she talked to her father by herself.
SOW: What's the scene between Lily and Neil like?
Khalil: They're having lunch and Lily says that there's something that
she needs to tell him. At first, Neil thinks that his daughter wants
to quit modeling and go back to school full-time. Lily is like, "No
I'm pregnant." Neil is shocked. He wants Lily to move back home and
offers to help raise the baby. Finally, Lily says, "Well, Dad, I don't
know if I'm going to keep the baby."
SOW: Neil is adamantly opposed to that idea. Does his opinion
influence Lily?
Khalil: Everyone's opinion matters to Lily. She keeps saying, "I can't
imagine having this child, but I can't imagine not." She's torn. Does
she pick her modeling career or does she pick her baby?
SOW: Chloe tells Lily that pregnancy means the end to Lily's modeling
days. How does Lily react?
Khalil: Lily's devasted. But she knew what Chloe was going to say, but
hearing it made it real for her. Lily doesn't want her career ending.
It just started!
SOW: What prompts Lily to visit Madame Chauvin?
Khalil: Lily asks Madame Chauvin if her mother ever regretted
anything, because Drucilla had to give up her modeling career to have
Lily. Madame Chauvin says that Lily was the love of her mother's life.
Lily wishes her mother could give her a sign of what to do. Madame
Chauvin tells Lily she normally would have left the studio about two
hours ago, so maybe Drucilla did give her a sign. That prompts Lily to
keep her baby.
SOW: What does she do then?
Khalil: Lily goes to her dad and says that she's keeping her baby. She
explains that she felt that her mother was speaking to her through
Madame Chauvin and telling her that the right thing to do is to have
the baby. Lily knows that it's going to be very hard, but she is
ready. Neil is thrilled.
SOW: Does this mean that there's a wedding around the corner between
Cane and Lily?
Khalil: Cane wants to marry Lily, but she doesn't want Cane to marry
her because he feels like he has to. Lily wants to deal with the baby
first. Lily is excited- but at the same time scared out of her mind.

Soap actress gets star on Walk of Fame

More than 25 years after being cast to say "Dinner is served" on the
CBS soap opera "The Young and the Restless," Kate Linder received a
star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Linder told fans gathered for the ceremony Thursday that she was
waiting to board a plane when she heard the news.
"I stopped breathing and started crying," Linder said. "The captain of
the plane then went on to announce after takeoff that I was getting my
star and the flight passengers applauded."
Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa attended the event.
"Los Angeles is a place where dreams come true," he said.
In April 1982, Linder delivered the line "Dinner is served" at a
casting and was asked to return the next day. She eventually joined
the cast as Esther Valentine, the confidante and housekeeper of
Katherine Chancellor, a wealthy woman.
Linder has kept the job she had before joining the show: On weekends,
she works as a United Airlines flight attendant.

TALES FROM THE INTERVIEW
Jennifer Lenhart: I interviewed Van Hansis (Luke) and Jake Silbermann
(Noah) for our "Man" issue and for the conspiracy theorists out there,
let's get this out of the way: Yes, there was a publicist present, as
there is in almost all in-person ATWT interviews, and no, she didn't try
to censor their responses in any way. That said, I personally didn't want
to focus entirely on all the publicity surrounding the "Nuke" non-kiss,
mostly because the actors don't write the show and I didn't want to put
them in a position of potentially having to answer for their bosses' (and
bosses' bosses) decisions. Hansis got there first and we chatted about
Martha Byrne's (Lily) good-bye party from the previous Friday, where he'd
introduced me to Tala Ashe with a, "Can you believe that she's Ameera!?"
(because Ashe truly looks and acts nothing like her character in real
life) and how Billy Magnussen (Casey) had insisted that I feel his new
haircut. We also discussed the GLAAD Awards, which he'd been to two days
earlier with Ashe. Elena Goode (ex-Jade) was supposed to be there, too,
but couldn't make it at the last minute. When Silbermann arrived (and got
some good-natured ribbing for his tardiness), we started the interview,
which sort of went all over the place because I kept getting sidetracked
with important subjects like the Wolverine movie (and the inclusion of a
FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS star therein), but I thought it was cool that they
have so much in common and that they are both so dedicated to telling
their characters' story honestly. When it came to the kiss campaign, what
I found most interesting was how detached the actors have been from the
debate, because it's entirely about the characters, but I think their
opinions on the matter are pretty clear. See for yourself in this week's

Mara Levinsky: Interviewing AMC's Cameron Mathison (Ryan) and Thorsten
Kaye (Zach) for the Q&A that appears in this week's issue.... Well, it
really wasn't a bad way to spend an afternoon. (Yes, I am downplaying how
much fun I had so as not to incur your wrath, dear readers!) The sarcasm
and the teasing reached such epic proportions that there are huge portions
of the interview that didn't make the magazine, in part because it would
have required too much explanation. But here's the story of one such
story. I spoke to Cameron for a few minutes before Thorsten arrived and we
were talking about how the fellas don't have as much time to hang out now
that Cameron has, as he puts it, "29 jobs," and we began to joke about the
psychological toll the separation is taking on Thorsten.
Digest: I heard he's been acting out, that he has a little Ryan doll that
he's been cuddling. You hate to see it happen. Mathison: Yeah, you do. You
hate to see a grown man kind of fall into that, but I mean, I did it! And
I'm comfortable with it. I don't hide my Zach doll. I think it's about
time he came out about his Ryan doll.
Later, while Thorsten was there, I asked him about whether he misses
Cameron, then revealed the "rumor" I'd spread to Cameron earlier. The
exchange went like this:
Digest: Thorsten, I might have been speaking out of school or I might have
just been making it up, but I did imply to Cameron that while he's been so
busy, you might have been seen snuggling with a little Ryan doll. Kaye:
It's not that little a doll. It's not life-size, of course, because where
would you put it? But it's a good size and it's got real hair. Mathison:
My hair, actually. From the floor after my hair cuts. Kaye: They got it
off eBay. Digest: Thank you for your prompt payment, by the way. Kaye:
You're welcome.
And on and on it went. But despite the mockery of themselves and one
another that punctuated the interview, make no mistake: These guys are
really and truly friends, who hang out whenever possible and text each
other, etc. And whenever one of them would leave the room (to grab some
water or take a call, for instance), the other would immediately drop
their jokey demeanor and sing the other's praises, without anything
tongue-in-cheek. Specifically, they raved about how wonderful the other
guy is with his kids (they both have two) and how generous they are when
it comes to sharing scenes.
Here's something else that happened during the interview that I've been
looking forward to sharing in the newsletter. I had to speak to Chrishell
Stause (Amanda) for the section in last week's issue where actors respond
to questions both as themselves and their characters and on the off chance
that I might bump into her at the studio, I brought my questions for her
with me. At some point during the interview with Cameron and Thorsten,
Cameron picked up the questions and began to fill in his answers - again,
with tongue firmly planted in cheek. Some of my favorites:
Biggest Pet Peeve? "Thorsten Kaye"
Biggest Fear? "Sex scene"
Proudest Moment? "My first sex scene"
Would you flirt to get out of a speeding ticket? "Only if he's cute" What
do you look for in a guy? "Big thighs"
All in all, a fantastic day - and as a bonus, I got to crack up Chrishell
with Cameron's answers when she called me the next day for her interview!
Naomi Rabinowitz: I couldn't believe my luck when I was assigned "The Man
Show," my feature about how soaps' sexy guys stay, well, sexy. You want me
to question hunks about their bodies? I'm so there!
Still, I wasn't expecting to get quite the earful I got when Daniel
Goddard (Cane, Y&R) readily filled me in on the proper way to wear skimpy
underwear on-screen. "There really is a whole method behind it," he
laughed. "I was surprised to find that out." When I expressed my surprise
that he'd actually tell me this, he explained, "On my last show
[BEASTMASTER], I ran around in a loin cloth all day. I threw modesty out
the window a long time ago."
Several other men contributed to the feature, too, including the
always-funny Eric Martsolf (Ethan, PASSIONS), who shared the "surprise" he
liked to give to Liza Huber (Gwen), as well as Darin Brooks (Max, DAYS),
who explained which types of scenes he enjoys filming the most.
What I did learn is that being sexy takes work - on-screen and off!
Danielle McClure: Before the thought of being on a soap ever entered his
mind, GL's EJ Bonilla (Rafe) was just a junior high school kid who loved
to dance and loved to sing along to Grease. "A friend of mine was reading
my CBS [biography] breakdown online and they were like, 'EJ Bonilla enjoys
dancing when he's not on set' and my friends were making fun of me, but
it's true," he shrugs. "You know how people go to parties to pick up
girls? I kind of go to parties just to dance with girls. I'll say it: it's
true!" It's one heck of a coincidence then that the 19-year-old, who
caught the acting bug after portraying Danny Zuko in a school performance
of Grease, wound up sharing the GL screen and some serious soap family
history with Ricky Paull Goldin (ex-Gus), who also brought the same role
to life in the Broadway revival back in the '90s. It was an encouraging
sign for Bonilla, who says he'd love to tackle Broadway himself one day.
"If I could sing well, if I had a Broadway-worthy voice, I would want to
be there so bad," he grins. " There's nothing like being in a musical.
When I found out that Ricky was in Grease, I was like, 'What? You were
Danny?!' He showed me pictures. I was like, 'Oh, my God, that's amazing.'

I have been noticing the great feedback lately regarding the increasing
story line for Victor. It is a testament to the longtime fans that beloved
characters like Victor, Anna and Tony are such a hit. Watching Anna sit at
a desk sharpening pencils was fun, because it was written superbly and she
plays the role of the spoiled (but lovable) little rich girl to
perfection! DAYS has returned to character-driven storytelling. It is what
made DAYS a phenomenon in the '80s and it is why NBC shouldn't let this
gem go in 2009! The core characters are what keeps the fans hearts into

I met Joe Lando [ex-Jake, OLTL] in 2004 at a fan dinner in Los Angeles,
CA. It was a dream come true for me and has become one of the most
memorable nights of my entire life. Joe was such a great .... He turned
out to be just the way I hoped he would be: respectful, awesome, kind,
wonderful, personable, funny, and very handsome. He is such a talented
actor and I hope he finds another job on the soaps or prime-time
television really soon. I have missed him a lot. Until then, I will
forever treasure the pictures of Joe Lando and me. ? Penni Fields, NC
I am recuperating from having major abdominal surgery, and on my first
night 'out of the house,' I was fortunate enough to attend the Maria
Ferrari Westchester Medical Center Children's hospital third annual
fundraiser. Organized by Linda Park (wife of ATWT's Michael Park), I was
fortunate enough not only to meet Detective Jack, but also Terri Colombino
and her musician husband Arthur, Jon and Kelley Hensley [Holden and
Emily], Martha Byrne [soon-to-be-ex-Lily] and her husband Michael McMahon.
I got to speak and have my picture taken with most of them. As I was still
hobbling around with a cane, and could not stand up for a long period of
time, Martha Byrne was nice enough to get me a chair, as the post-show
reception had people mingling about. ? William J. Reynolds, Ossining, NY
I met Cynthia Watros (ex- Annie, GL), on tour with the Ambassadors of
Hollywood at Camp Victory in Baghdad, Iraq. I got a chance to meet her and
tell her how much I enjoyed her on GL as Annie ... it's so wonderful to
see people that you have watched on TV for YEARS, especially when you are
