There will be a "Murder, She Wrote" marathon on The Biography Channel
- Monday, September 4th. I am not too sure how many of you get TBC,
but I did want to let you know that the marathon begins at 8AM ET, and
ends at 9PM ET. There are repeats of six of the episodes, so I will
post the title, and the time after each:
"Harbinger of Death" shows at 8AM and 2PM
"Curse of the Danaav" shows at 9AM and 3PM
"The Committee" shows at 10AM and 4PM
"The List of Uri Lermentov" shows at 11AM and 5PM
"Danse Diabolique" shows at 12PM and 6PM
"The Witch's Curse" shows at 1PM and 7PM
"Incident in Lot 7" shows at 8PM
For the first six episodes, you have two chances to see them.
Have a safe, and happy Labor Day!

The proud warriors of Baker Company wanted to do something to pay tribute To our fallen comrades. So since we are part of the only Marine Infantry Battalion left in Iraq the one way that we could think of doing that is By taking a picture of Baker Company saying the way we feel. It would be awesome if you could find a way to share this with our fellow countrymen. I was wondering if there was any way to get this into your papers to let the world know that "WE HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN" and are proud to
serve our ! country." Semper Fi 1stSgt Dave Jobe The attached photo was forwarded from one of the last U.S. Marine companies in Iraq. They would like to have it passed to as many people as possible, to let the folks back home know that they remember why they're there and that they remember those who've been lost.

Hi, I love that show too. I watch on Public TV here in the states.
As for a group for it. I have no idea. The best I can figure to do is go to the
UK version of yahoo and check that group's site. I am sending this to you off
list too as I do not know if my list still is in existance since It hasn't had
any traffic and I heard through the grapevine that they were taking off non
traffic groups.

you read this, you WILL forward it on. You won't be able to stop yourself. The Military The average age of the military man is 19 years. He is a short haired, tight-muscled kid who, under normal circumstances is considered by society as half man, half boy. Not yet dry behind the ears, not old enough to buy a beer, but old enough to die for his country. He never really cared much for work and he would rather wax his own car than wash his father's; but he has never collected unemployment either.
He's a recent High School graduate;
he was probably an average student, pursued some form of sport activities, drives a ten year old jalopy,
and has A steady girlfriend that either broke up with him when he left, or swears to be waiting when he returns from half a world away
He listens to rock and roll or hip-hop or rap or jazz or swing and 155mm howitzer.
He is 10 or 15 pounds lighter now than when he was at home because he is working or fighting from before dawn to well after dusk.
He has trouble spelling, thus letter writing is a pain for him, but he can field strip a rifle in 30 seconds and reassemble it in less timein the dark.
He can recite to you the nomenclature of a machine gun or grenadeand use either one effectively if he must.
He digs foxholes and latrines and can apply first aid like a professional.
He can march until he is told to stop or stop until he is told to march.
He obeys orders instantly and without hesitation, but he is not without spirit or individual dignity. He is self-sufficient.
He has two sets of fatigues: he washes one and wears the other.
He keeps his canteens full and his feet dry. he sometimes forgets to brush his teeth, but never to clean his rifle.
He can cook his own meals, mend his own clothes, and fix his own hurts.
If you're thirsty, he'll share his water with you; if you are hungry, his food. He'll even split his ammunition with you in the midst of battle when you run low.
He has learned to use his hands like weapons and weapons like theywere his hands. He can save your life - or take it, because that ishis job.
He will often do twice the work of a civilian , draw half the pay and still find
ironic humor in it all.
He has seen more suffering and death then he should have in his short lifetime.
He has stood atop mountains of dead bodies, and helped to create them. He has wept in public and in private, for friends who have fallen in combat and is unashamed. He feels every note of the National Anthem vibrate through his body while at rigid attention, while tempering the burning desire to'square-away' those around himwho haven't bothered to stand, remove their hat, or even stop talking.
In an odd twist, day in and day out, far from home, he defends their right to be disrespectful.
Just as did his Father, Grandfather, and Great-grandfather, he is paying the price for our freedom. Beardless or not, he is not a boy.
He is the American Fighting Man that has kept this country free for over 200 years.
He has asked nothing in return, except our friendship and understanding. Remember him, always, for he has earned our respect and admiration with his blood.
And now we even have women over there in danger, doing their part in this tradition of going to War when our nation calls us to do so. As you go to bed tonight, remember this shot.. A short lull, a little shade and a picture of loved ones in their helmets
Prayer wheel for our military... please don't break it. Please send this on after a short prayer.
Prayer Wheel
"Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. Amen."
Prayer : When you receive this, please stop for a moment and say a prayer for our ground troops in Afghanistan, sailors on ships, andairmen in the air, and for those in Iraq
There is nothing attached....
This can be very powerful.......
Of all the gifts you could give a US Soldier, Sailor, Coastguardsman, Marine,Merhant Mariner or Airman, prayer is the very best one. I can't break this one, sorry This is a ribbon for soldiers fighting in Iraq. Pass it on to everyone and pray.

Sir,
You may be surprised to receive this message from
me since you don't know me in person, but for the
purpose of introduction, I am MR.Frank Zumalo, the
son of late MR.EKOHANA ZUMALO, who was murdered in a
land dispute in ZIMBABWE.
I got your contact through the South African
International Exchange Network On-line here in
Johannesburg, South Africa as reliable and trustworthy
to deal with, then I decided to write you. My late
father was among the few black Zimbabwean rich farmers
murdered in cold blood by the agent of the ruling
government of President ROBERT MUGABE for his alleged
support and sympathy for Zimbabwean opposition party.
Before the death of my father, he took me to South
Africa to deposit the sum of Twenty Eight Million Four
Hundred Thousand US Dollars ($28.4m) with a security
and finance company, as if he knew the looming danger
in Zimbabwe. The money was deposited as a gem or
precious stone to avoid much demurrage from the
security firm.
This money was earmarked for the purchase of new
machinery and chemicals for the farms and the
establishment of new farms in Lesotho and Swaziland.
This land problem arose when President R. MUGABE
introduced a new land Act. which wholly affects the
White rich farmers and some few blacks vehemently
condemned the 'MODUS OPERANDI' adopted by the
government. This resulted to rampant killing and mob
actions.
I and my family who are currently staying in South
Africa as a refugee or an asylum seeker have decided
to transfer this money to a foreign country where we
can invest it. I am faced with the dilemma of
investing this amount of money in South Africa for
fear of encountering the same experience in future
since both countries have the same political history.
Moreover, the South African monetary policy/law does
not allow such investment hence I am seeking for and
asylum or refugee.
I must let you know that this business is 100% risk
free and the nature of your business does not
necessarily matter. So if you are willing to assist
us,
I and my family have agreed to give you 15% of the
total money, 40% will be for a joint business venture
I will be doing with you and another 40% will be for
me and my family which we shall also invest in your
country and the remaining 5% will be mapped out for
all expenses we may incurred during the transaction.
Therefore, if you are willing and interested to render
the needed assistance, endeavor to reply through my
email address or the above telephone number. I also
need your private phone and fax number for easy
communication. Remember that this is highly
confidential and the success of this business depends
on how secret it is kept.
Expecting your reply soonest.
Best Regard.
MR.Frank Zumalo.
I am a fan of Angela Lansbury and of her roles especially Jessica

Speak to you all soon

I have seen ads for the movie Nanny McFee on cable tv station, cartoon
network, comedy channel, lifetime tv, and Hallmark tv. I haven't seen
it on any of my local channels so I do not think it is yet airing in
my area. Beth

Hi Troy!
I am a pretty big "Tom Bosley" fan as well - probably hooked when he
was on "Happy Days" (and I am SOOO dating myself here). I loved him
on "Murder, She Wrote", and was especially fond of him on "Father
Dowling Mysteries". I have tried in vain to find any way for that show
to get to DVD, have voted for it endlessly, and still - nothing. I
have so many cable channels, I just wonder why no one will carry
repeats, or why it hasn't been released to DVD.
Happy holidays, everyone!

MURDER SHE WROTE
British actress EMMA THOMPSON threw a pie at ANGELA LANSBURY's face
during filming for new movie NANNY McPHEE - after fighting off
competition from her castmates for the privilege.
The Academy Award-winner, who has spent almost 10 years bringing
CHRISTIANNA BRAND's children's books to the big screen, launched the
creamy confectionary at the MURDER SHE WROTE actress during a food
fight scene - and was delighted by her marksmanship.
She says, "One of the scenes is an enormous food fight and somebody
had to throw the pie at Angela.
"Every member of the cast wanted to do it because Angela is such a
legend and what a great thing to be able to tell the grandchildren!
"But I told them I was pulling rank and, when the moment came, I got
her right between the eyes - a beauty of a shot."

Hello all! I invite you to my new MSW group! I hope to see you there!
In this group we can show our love for the wonderful Jessica Fletcher,
who is played to perfection by Angela Lansbury. Feel free to add
memos/pics/files/links, and so on. Here is the link!
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/JessicaFletcher/
The name tells you that it's a true fangroup!
I am so happy to find this group. I might have passed it by if I
hadn't noticed the bold words "Murder She Wrote" in the description.
I am a huge fan of this show. So much so that I resorted to taping
dozens of episodes off the tv. Now I have taken the time and money to
buy the new DVD of the First season. And I can't wait til they get
around to releasing the second season and so on.
Plus, I am thrilled to see the Angela Lansbury Mailing address you
listed. I've always wanted to send Angela a fan letter. The chances
of meeting her are rather slim for me, but I'd jump at the chance if
it ever came along. It's one of my dreams to meet certain people in
my lifetime. And Angela Lansbury is DEFINITELY on my list.
Thank you for creating this group.
An MIA Ray Liotta won the Emmy for Guest Actor in a Drama for his work on ER,
while the nowhere-to-be-seen Amanda Plummer won for Guest Actress in a
Drama for her role on Law & Order: SVU. Plummer's win meant a dubious bit of
TV history had been achieved by fellow contender Angela Lansbury. The veteran
actress was up for her guest role in Law & Order: SVU and is now 0-for-18 at
the Emmys, making her the biggest loser at the Primetime Emmys and tying her
with Susan Lucci for the most Emmy nominations without a win. Lucci finally won
a Daytime Emmy with her 19th nomination.
Comedian and telethon champ Jerry Lewis was on hand to accept the prestigious
Governors Award in recognition of his decades of dedication to charity work.
Lewis, who held his 40th Labor Day telethon this year to raise money for the
Muscular Dystrophy Association, said he wanted to clear up the misconception
that his work was selfless.
"I am probably the most selfish man you will ever meet in your life. No one gets
the satisfaction or the joy that I get out of seeing kids realize there is
hope,"
Lewis told the audience, which rose to give him a standing ovation.
Elsewhere, the crass cartooners of South Park were honored with the Emmy for
Best Animated Program, while the miracle workers over at Extreme Makeover:
Home Edition were feted with the Best Reality Program prize.
ABC's banner series Lost and Desperate Housewives won the Emmys for Best
Casting in a Drama and a Comedy series, respectively, while HBO's Lackawanna
Blues won for Best Casting in a Miniseries, Movie or Special.
Here's a roundup of some of the big winners at Sunday's Creative Arts

Hi all, I got this email last night Tuesday.Came from a man who is a brother of
one of the producers of Antique Road Show. They were at the Tech Emmy
Awards. That is the Award show that gives out the small emmys to those behind
the scenes. They have a small snip it of it during the big AwardsNight. Well he
bumped into Angela Lansbury after the ceremony while she was waitng for her
limo. My guess is she was there because she was a guest on the 2 Law and Order
Series and most likely got a guest emmy nod.
I am forwarding his email so that maybe one of you can help him in his quest to
get a snail mail or email address for her to thank her for being so Kind. As if
we
didnt know she is. Beth

Hi Beth,
I ran into Angela Lansbury at the Emmy Awardsceremony in LA last night. I
wasthere as a guest of my brother-in-law, Robert Marshall, as the program
heproduces ("Antique's Roadshow") wasnominated for an award.
Regrettably,he didn't win but I had a fantastic time any way. The highlight of
the evening was meeting Ms.Lansbury after the ceremony while she was waiting
for her limo. My sister and I went up to here and toldher how much we liked her
work and we then spent a minute or so chatting withher. Like you, I have been a
fan ofMs. Lansbury's for years and I havealways wanted to meet her. I amstill
on could nine after my brief encounter with her last night. I know this is
probably crazy but I washoping I could track down her email address to follow up
and say how much Ienjoyed meeting her. I went on theinternet and tried to find
an email but came up with nothing, as I suspectedwould be the case. Given your
keeninterest in Ms. Lansbury I thought I would touch base with you to see if
youmight have an email address you could share with me. Alternatively, I can
try sending her a snailmail.
Thanks so much and I hope to hear back fromyou when you have a moment.
Sincerely,
Bryan C. Smith
