I attended the recent 6 of 1 convention in Portmeirion and took a
load of pictures, I've put them on a website at

i've one more page to finish which will be done by sunday at the
latest, check it out if your interested.
thanks and be seeing you
Ant
Righty-dokey, I've just won an eBay auction for Issue #1 of
DeAgostini's Prisoner Fact File, so I'll start my reviews of all the
ones that have been published so far soon after I receive it in the
mail.
I won't bother reviewing the DVDs aswell as the magazines, as you've
all seen the episodes yourself, & there's no extras to speak of that
are worth mentioning on the DeAgostini DVDs...
BCNU,
J.
I've moved back to England since Dan's original message. That
America place was too uncivilized for my liking! ;-)
I'll attempt to begin reviews of the Prisoner Fact Files myself as
soon as I lay my hands on a copy of Issue #1 w/ 'Arrival'. My local
newsagents have been telling me "it's coming" for the last six weeks
(even though they originally said it would take one to two weeks),
plus trying to get through to DeAgostini is a waste of bloody time.
But I'm hopeful that I'll win an eBay auction for the mag & DVD very
soon, so watch this space.
Just a quick question about the Fact File publishers: is there
anybody else here who is a mail subscriber to the PFF, & if so, how
are you finding DeAgostini in terms of reliability? I started
subscribing from issues #5 & #6, & I had to chase them up about them
both, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they'll be sending me
all future editions (& free gifts) without me having to nag at them
from now on. Maybe I'm just too impatient... Actually, scrap that I
am DEFINITELY too impatient!
BCNU,
James

Hope you don't see this as spam, but I thought collectors of Prisoner-connected
items
might be interested. I'm currently putting the finishing touches
to "Brickman Begins!" a 148 page trade paperback collecting all my
Batman-spoof "Brickman" comic strips from 1979-96. Published by Active
Images, late March, $9.99 from comics speciality shops.
Fans of The Prisoner may be interested to know that a six page story in
the book features Brickman and other heroes abducted to become
prisoners of a strange village...a place oddly familiar to most of us
here. ;-)
I've now set up a BRICKMAN BEGINS! website which carries more info on
the book.

Attempt No. 1 of writing something humorous in
response to this E-mail:
This sounds like moving to the USA is leaving
civilization or to a retirement home. As one who
lives here I must vouch that we have some things
happening here and are aware of The Prisoner and have
a number of fans (but then I live in New York City).

Dear Be Seeing You members
As one of the two owners of this group, I feel obligated to apologise
for the spam infested mess this group has become. Like many Prisoner
fans, I think we got too excited about the arrival of film. The last
time I heard about it, (2001) it looked like it was going to happen.
Now, The Prisoner appears to be somewhere in development hell
between 'The Hobbit' and 'Red Dwarf'.
Nevertheless, this is not an excuse... while it is nice to have some
Prisoner news to report, a film cannot, and should not, eclipse the
brilliance of the TV show.
So what now? Well, Jimnineteen80, the founder of this group has
moved on, specifically he is making his residence in the USA. So, as
his Number 2, at his request, I'm keeping things running in some of
his other groups until he gets a net connection. I figure I might as
well try and kick start this group too.
Now, as most brit fans are aware, there is a magazine collection of
Prisoner episodes. Each magazine has an episode of the show, and
from what I have seen, other issues have either a free gift, (such as
a map of the village) or a Danger Man DVD.
This gives me an idea to keep the group going, although you don't
need to have the magazine to participate.
Each fortnight we take an episode (we will be one episode behind the
magazine collection) and at the end of the 2 weeks, when people have
watched the episodes if they have access to them, we post stuff about
it, like an online book group. A review, commentary, humourous
observations, anything you like relevant to the episode of the
fortnight. It could be serious, sarcastic, witty or poetic.
So, if you'd be interested in this, let me know. It isn't school, if
you don't post you won't be 'expelled'.

Hi Dan,
I must admit I've let my group go by the wayside a bit too... it's easy
done, isn't it? But good luck with this new idea, it sounds like a goer to me.

Well, I'm in Jacksonville, which is relatively close to you (at
least it's the same state). I tried that meet up site before for
Doctor Who and found that no one within several hundred miles of me
seemed to be a "fan." It's nice to know that a Prisoner fan is in
the southeastern U.S.!
I'll try the site again to see what comes of it.

Hello to the Group
Sadly enogh the show only surfaces in my area every 2 or 3 years on
one of the local PBS affiliates - and then, at times, one can argue
whether the shows are shown in sequence or not.
I have been trying to see if there are any screensavers a/o windows
themes up on the internet for the show - if anybody has any
suggestions as to where I might locate a working one - please feel
free to contact me off line a/o through the message board.
Thanks, in any event, for your help
(and may I say)
Be seeing you

Prophet Livingood's Video Trading List
Most of my movies and television series are in SP Mode (2 hr tapes)
unless otherwise
noted. I have recently invested in a DVD-R/DVD+R/CDR recorder so I
am current-
ly converting all of my vhs tapes to dvd as vhs is now becoming
obsolete. If you pre-
fer your movie on DVD or VHS, let me know! If a `even-trade' can not
be achieved,
then I ask a mere $5.00 per 2 hr tape or disc. VCD's can hold a 45
minute (1 hr tv
show `minus commercials') and yes I do edit commercials at no extra
cost!
If a title is currently available from retail outlets I will not copy
it so as to avoid copyright infringement arrest and/or lawsuit. Most
of what I have is in the public
domain or is rare, hard to find and outdated.

Prisoner fans have an opportunity to meet other fans in their local
area. There is a website, www.meetup.com, that setus up informal get
togethers on lots of topics. I added Prisoner tv show to the list,
so hope this provides an additional way for us to talk with other
Prisoner fans, and it is free. The next meetup is Wed Oct 6 at 7pm
local time (whatever time zone you are in, 7pm). More info is on
their website, hope to meet other fans on Oct 6. I should say
meetups are worldwide, so if at least 5 people in any given location
sign up to meet, the meetup in their area is on! thanks, Ron (from
florida).
Hi James, great to hear from you!
I must admit, I haven't been doing much Prisoner-related at the moment
either. There are six original novels due out any time now, but other than that
there's not much Prisoner news. I've set up a forum (not solely Priz-related
though) to supercede my list, which is at
http://pub65.ezboard.com/btheanorakzone
and slowly reaching the 100 mark.
Hope you'll stick around for a bit, James, nice to hear from you.
Best Wishes,
Richard

It's been a hell of a long time since I last posted here, which is a
crying shame especially as this is my own group, but nonetheless:
just wanted to check in & say hello to all the members of Be Seeing
You.
Though I admit to not looking very hard, I haven't heard any recent
Prisoner-related news (apart from the fact which a lot of you UK-
based members will already know: namely that the series has been
shown on digital TV channel BBC Four recently as part of it's 1960's
season), such as the non-existent movie & what-have-you. If any
members here know of ANYTHING Priz-related that would be of
interest, post about it here & lets get good old-fashioned action
going again at what must now be one of the longest-running Prisoner
groups on the internet...
I also want to give a hello to my old pal Richard (Ricarcat). I
don't know if you still drop by here very often, Rich (wouldn't
blame you if you didn't, to be frank!), so I'll visit your Prisoner
group (an excellent one, by the way) & say hi just in case.
Also, though he did it yonks ago, I'd like to thank BCNU Co-
Moderator & my best mate Dan (Dankind33) for the episode guides in
the Database section, &, of course, the classic Group Photo, still
going strong after what must be over 3 years now!
BCNU,
J ;-)

Hello,
I've just joined. I saw the Prisoner first time round when I was
still a boy and it intrigued me then as it still does today. I had a
badge with the bicycle on it and the number 6! Does
anyone know where Pat McGoohan is today?
