I have a copy of the script, and to tell the truth, it's not very good. I
live and work here in Los Angeles, though for a different studio, and when
I finally read it I rather breathed a sigh of relief that they weren't
moving forward on it yet.
There's a role in there that's obviously for PMG, and he's still credited,
but it's hard to see what remains of his original idea for the film
anymore. At one point I had heard that there was a draft wherein "Daniel
Webster" was the Number One? Something like this? Can't recall for sure,
but I think this was a draft of PMG's.
I'd like to see him act again, but I don't know that we'll see that, which
makes me quite sad. He seems fairly settled in at this point. I have to
make do with collecting all his old films and whatnot.
Which isn't that terrible, to be honest. :)
ah well.
