You could try this Hotel in Porthmadog, this is where i am staying.

Depending on how long you can stay, you could also try a self
catering
cottage from this place:

Most of the places are let for a week from Saturday to Saturday but
some can
be rented for mini breaks of 3 days.

The trip from Porthmadog to the Village is quite short. You can get a
bus on
the main High street. I've even walked there on a nice day.
