I was curious to see how all you fanfic writers portray Ben Stone in your works?
Even if you havn't written or published, how do you see Ben in your
imaginations?

Neen
I wanted to welcome several new members... Hello
to Gwennmc, Lin (Ardolla_K), and Debbie (of the
MMUUUHP web site. This club is getting larger but I think
we have some great people and writers here.
Welcome!

Neen
Well, hello to you too. I must admit, I am not
really a BS fan, but you asked so nicely...

Maybe
it has to do with the fact that MM looks like one of
my ex-bfriends. Funny thing, the ex actually a big
Ben Stone fan. Go figure.
Well, since you're twisting my arm :) The web
site is Michael Moriarty Unofficial, Unauthorized,
Unsanctioned Home Page. The URL
is:

http://www.motion.net/debbie58/

Hope you'll all come for a
visit!

Debbie
Hi Debbie -

Yeah, it may be blatant
advertising but, it's a great site. How about a little more
blatant advertising, if it's allowed, and posting your
URL? Huh, please? For those out there who may not know
it, or have lost it(hint-hint).
<G>

Thanx
Hi all-

All Ben said was, "Tick, Tock
gentleman" meaning that they had to make a decision or the
deal was off. It was in Everybody's Favorite Bagman -
the pilot!

There are several other instances
of Ben giving folks a time limit though. Most of
them are on my web page - MMUUUHP. Yes, I know blatant
advertisement!

See ya all around!

Debbie1648
I don't recall what he said about Tick Tock. What
wa sthe line and which episode was that? I think Ben
lost his temper in SUBTERRANEAN HOMEBOY BLUES where he
yelled at Greevey, "Do you have any more ideas before we
walk into court and Miss Sham-ba-la Green hands us our
asses on a platter?!" Great delivery!

Neen
There once was a DA named Stone
Who preferred to fight causes alone
A new
trail did he forge
New York's own St. George
In the end he reaped what he
had sown.
The greatest line Stone ever had was in the
season 1 episode involving the IRA. The IRA joker asked
him how he ended up with the name "Stone" when he had
such an Irish look. Stone's reply: "Circumstance, sir;
the same way you ended up with the name of a REAL
Irish patriot." Tour de force acting and writing in
that single moment.
and without ever raising his voice or even
looking angry--such a gentleman at all times.

i
can only remember him losing his temper once in the 4
years he was on--in the 'wedded bliss' ep when the wife
of the killer changes her story & he pounds the
table--i still laugh when i watch that one!

but the
'tick tock' lines are my personal favs.
must go cook
now--yuck
Good one Lexusmom! I love the way the more he despised a person, the more he
used "sir". In fact when he was mad at Adam, he called him
sir!

Neen
had to give this a go!!

There once was
a DA named Stone. Who cowed witnesses just with
his tone.
A curt little “Sir”
Or “tick
tock”. . .I prefer
And informants spewed forth with a
groan.

buh, bye
Hi everyone! Ick, the start of another work week
(UGH). For me, it's another week of pounding pavements
looking for a job. Anyway, I wanted to welcome our newest
members... Linda (good to see you!), Lexusmom, Lynne (and
Jack), Tony, and Kirsten. Good to see you join our happy
little group!

Neen
OK here goes:

There is a man named
Ben
Truly exquisite among men.
On TV or real life
you so rarely see
A man with such class, style
and
Real integrity.
There once was a DA from New York,
who thought
of nothing else but work,
had a cranky boss who
screamed "take the pleas",
his worst rival is Swann, a
real sleaze,
and he hated running into Ms. Green
who made him feel like a world-class
jerk!

Neen
NOW YOU TRY!
Welcome to you all :-)

As a co-founder, I
wanted to help neen keep things going--also she begged
me to come up with something to do on here
;-);thus,I rattled my brain around to come up with something
brilliant.

I don't know how brilliant it is,
but...Going back to the days of the dreaded English Lit
class...and composing things...

I challenge you to
come up with a five line poem about Ben--please
remember we may have younger members and try to keep it no
worse than PG-13 ;-)

You don't have to be Keats,
either :-)

We now have 11 members. I have a few orders of
business:

1. This is primarily for Ben Stone discussion. We
have a great MM club that Kathrynlively hosts for MM
discussions:)

2. We have 2 other co-founders: Pam (noth65) and
Glenda (glbrooks_99). If you need us, please feel free
to email us or in my case you may msg me on
IM.

3. I want to welcome: Pam, Glenda, Kathrynlively,
blos28, Catman, and Hayona_99. Thanks for the
support!

That is all:) Please feel free to discuss why you like
Ben as a character or as an addition to the past cast
of L&O.

Neen
FYI, I have decided, after a year's inactivity
and my growing workload, to disable the MM Mailing
list. I think this club and the MM Yahoo! Club are
sufficient enough for our needs. I'll keep the homepage up
on my Geocities site, though, to remind you guys to
keep e-mailing A&E to get MM on Biography.

:-)
Mahalo, Neen, for the invitation to join a club
about my FAVORITE Law & Order character, Ben
Stone.

Cat, the episode you're refering to is Amercian Dream
and it's my favorite episode also. However, my
favorite Ben Stone quote comes from "Wager" at the very
end when he and Adam are talking and he says, "Oh,
Benny, he wasn't Pat William's father, he just happened
to be in the room when his son was
conceived".

Glenda
I love the small moments when Ben realizes that
he must either do what is legally ethical or simply
do what is decent. I loved it when he felt so awful
about having to cross-examine Liz Olivet about her
motives in testifying for a case after she had been raped
and even more--when he went personally to the home of
a vulnerable young prostitute to quietly tell her
himself that she had tested HIV-positive.

I just
loved him to pieces for those acts of
humanity!

Dorothy
Thanks for the invitation neen,im not only a fan
of MM acting but also of his political views which i
find quite intense,as for a favorite moment, there are
too many to name but the show that i really thought
he did a wonderful job in was the one where the guy
he convicted got a new trial and won and tried to
sue STONE for false imprisonment(sorry i cant thank
of the name of the show at the moment)and in the end
STONE put him back in prison.Oh well thanks again for
the invite and i look forward to hearing if anyone
else here is as interested in MM poltical views as i
am.
THE CAT LEAVES THE ROOM
Now Dorothy... you KNOW this is Heaven!!!! My
favorite Ben moment... well, there are so many, but here
goes... It is with "Prisoner of Love"... Ben Stone opens
a locked trunk... the woman says it's her hope
chest... Ben opens it to find whips, chains, leather
clothing... Ben says... "What were you HOPING for???"...
Favorite!!!
Jules
...I guess I'm alive and awake--thought I'd died and gone to heaven there for a
second! Woo--hooo to more Michael Moriarty and Ben! Thanks,
Neen!

Dorothy
Thank you to all who have joined... Anne, Julie,
Truerock (sorry I don't know your first name) and
Dorothy.. Thank you for joining and remember to spread the
word around!!!

Please post a little about why
you like Ben, something about you and maybe an odd
quote here and there that you like:)

Neen
