For those of you looking for another group to join I would recommend
Tunnel Dreams which is run by Becky Bain.  Becky does a phenomenal
job making sure that the list is a safe place for all fans and the
few issues that have arisen over the years have been dealt with
calmly and professionally.  The link is:

Another group that could be good for people that are just interested
in news about fandom is the Tunnels group at:

Sadly this group is underutilized at present.  It was originally a
group like this one and had been started not too long after but ran
into a shortage of posts much sooner and was turned into an
announcement only list for news and not general discussion.  I think
there's a need for such a list and it would be good to see more news

Thanks J'ecris. Appropriatly enough we just passed our 9th anniversary.
I just want to say that I've enjoyed our time here. Those who have been around a
long time might remember that we started life as a Yahoo "Club" and were changed
into a Group. Well, I'm not too good at endings but since we used to do a lot of

There was actually a warning.  TV guide or some other magazine printed the

Well, I have inducted a new fan: My friend Mary Ellen never watched the
original show - now I have her hooked - I brought the dvds to her house and we
watched both season one and two. We watched 2-3 episodes each night until we got
through them all.  Now she is anxious for season 3 to come out.  I warned her
that it was very different.

It's probably too soon to say, but the numbers may be going back up again. There
were over 100 in LA this summer. And lots of new folks keep popping up on the
lists. Of course, I doubt we'll ever get back to the numbers they had back in
the day. Time will tell, I guess. It sure would be cool to have enough attendees
to afford the sorts of things I've heard they had at early cons.
