100th RELEASE

Two-CD Set Is Top 10 Best Seller in Overall Music Sales at Amazon.com

Burbank, CA - June 30, 2009– La-La Land records will release their 100th release
as a label -- the special 2-CD set, Battlestar Galactica: Season 4, on July 28,
2009. The soundtrack cracked the Top 10 at Amazon's Best Seller list for
overall music sales, topping both the TV and Movie Soundtrack Charts. The
soundtrack features music from Seasons 4 and 4.5 with one disc dedicated to the
music from "Daybreak" the stunning series finale. La-La Land Records is
releasing the Battlestar Galactica: Season 4 soundtrack through a license
agreement with NBC Universal Television, DVD, Music and Consumer Products Group.

The music from Battlestar Galactica became an integral part of the series,
interwoven into plotlines and even performed by cast members, like the track
"Gaeta's Lament", sung by Alessandro Juliani (Felix Gaeta) or "Dreilide Thrace
Sonata No. 1" which was a key plot point in the episode "Someone to Watch Over
Me".

Battlestar Galactica: Season 4 will be available in stores nationwide and online
on www.lalalandrecords.com, www.nbcuniversalstore.com, and www.amazon.com. The
two-CD soundtrack will feature music from seasons 4.0 and 4.5 and the music from
"Daybreak," the series finale. The CD booklet features 20 pages of pictures and
extensive liner notes, including 8 pages of notes from the cast and crew talking
about the music and composer Bear McCreary, who Jamie Bamber (Lee `Apollo'
Adama) calls `the 13th Cylon" and Mary McDonnell (Laura Roslin) said "Bear
understands character and plot and action as musical poetry and we were blessed
to have him."

Season 4 composer McCreary was recently called one of the top 10 composers "that
make space adventures epic" by www.io9.com. His work on the television series
Battlestar Galactica has been described as offering "some of the most innovative
music on TV today," by Variety, and his blog www.bearmccreary.com/blog, which
features in-depth inside looks at the process of scoring Battlestar Galactica,
was called "one of the best blogs in the business. It's a fascinating look at
the process of making music for film and television and the care he takes with
aligning the score with the twists and turns of each character's plot lines," by
The Hollywood Reporter.

McCreary's feature film credits include Wrong Turn 2 and the Rest Stop films.
He also scores the series Eureka, the upcoming SyFy series, and Battlestar
Galactica prequel, Caprica, the Capcom video game Dark Void, the upcoming series
Human Target and Trauma and Battlestar Galactica: The Plan. McCreary was among
a handful of select protégés of late film music legend Elmer Bernstein and is a
classically trained composer with degrees in Composition and Recording Arts from
the prestigious USC Thornton School of Music.

Also available from La-La Land Records are McCreary's soundtracks for Battlestar
Galactica Seasons 1, 2, and 3, Caprica, Eureka, Terminator: The Sarah Connor
Chronicles, Wrong Turn 2 and the Rest Stop films.

I'm wanting to make a Turbo Cycle (a.k.a. Turbine) from Galactica 80....

I have The Series, and can get reasonable Reference from that, and have been
able to find a couple of Sites with Photos (including one for the guy that
actually made them in the first place), but what I'm looking for, if at all
possible, would be a Set of 'Line Drawings'

Anyone know where I might be able to find anything like that?

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CAPRICA SOUNDTRACK TO BE RELEASED BY LA-LA LAND RECORDS

Composer Bear McCreary Scores Battlestar Galactica Prequel

(June 10, 2009- Burbank, CA) - La-La Land Records will release the soundtrack
for Caprica on June 16, 2009. The two-hour pilot movie, released on DVD on
April 21st from Universal Home Entertainment, launches the new series Caprica to
air on the SCI FI Channel in early 2010. Bear McCreary (Battlestar Galactica,
Wrong Turn 2) composed the score for this Battlestar Galactica prequel.
McCreary will be appearing in July at The House of Blues in San Diego during
Comic Con. La-La Land Records is releasing the Caprica soundtrack through a
license agreement with NBC Universal Television, DVD, Music and Consumer
Products Group.

Bear McCreary is one of the top young composers working in Hollywood. His work
on the television series Battlestar Galactica has been described as offering
"some of the most innovative music on TV today," by Variety, and his blog
www.bearmccreary.com/blog, which features in-depth inside looks at the process
of scoring Battlestar Galactica, was called "one of the best blogs in the
business. It's a fascinating look at the process of making music for film and
television and the care he takes with aligning the score with the twists and
turns of each character's plot lines," by The Hollywood Reporter.

Among a handful of select protégés of late film music legend Elmer Bernstein,
McCreary is a classically trained composer with degrees in Composition and
Recording Arts from the prestigious USC Thornton School of Music. His credits
include Wrong Turn 2, the two Rest Stop films, the upcoming Capcom video game
Dark Void, the series Eureka, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and
Battlestar Galactica.

Set 50 years before the events that unfolded in Battlestar Galactica, Caprica
chronicles an astonishing scientific breakthrough taking shape on the planet
Caprica. The rapidly evolving spheres of human and mechanical engineering have
collided, along with the fates of two families. Joined by tragedy in an
explosive instant of terror, two rival clans led by powerful patriarchs, Joseph
Adama (Esai Morales) and Daniel Graystone (Eric Stoltz) duel in an era of
questionable ethics, corporate machinations and unbridled personal ambition as
the final war for humanity looms.

"The Caprica score, while echoing the spirit of Galactica, is very much its own
entity, like the series itself", says McCreary. "This album is the seed from
which the musical universe of Caprica will evolve and grow."

Caprica not only introduces new characters and a new spirit to the Battlestar
Galactica family, it also welcomes a new director, Jeffrey Reiner. He
describes, "Bear sent me very complete demos against picture that worked great,
but it wasn't until I sat in the scoring stage at Warner Bros., and heard the
maestro conduct his orchestra, that I was blown away."

"My approach for Caprica would be the polar opposite [of Galactica]," explains
McCreary. "After all, the events of this series take place in an entirely
different environment. Caprica City is a familiar society at its most decadent
and opulent peak. The audience knows that doomsday looms on the horizon, but
the characters themselves do not."

There will be musical threads that connect the two series. For example, the
track "The Adama Name" ends with an understated reprise of the Adama family
theme ("Wander My Friends") to connect the boy of Caprica to the commander of
Galactica. Have no fear . the taiko percussion ensemble returns and can be
heard on "Cybernetic Life Form Node."

Caprica is currently available on DVD and will premiere on the SCI FI Channel in
early 2010. The Caprica soundtrack will be available in stores or from
www.lalalandrecords.com on June 16, 2009. The two-CD Battlestar Galactica:
Season 4 soundtrack will be released by La-La Land Records on July 21. For
information about Bear McCreary's Battlestar Galactica concerts, July 23-25 in
San Diego during Comic Con, visit www.bearmccreary.com.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BATTLESTAR GALACTICA COMPOSER BEAR MCCREARY TO RELEASE TWO RECORDINGS AND
ANNOUNCES LOS ANGELES AND COMIC CON CONCERTS

Taiko Drums To Start Summer With A Bang -- SO SAY WE ALL!!!

(May 27, 2009- Burbank, CA) - Battlestar Galactica and Caprica composer Bear
McCreary will have a busy summer, with the release of two soundtrack recordings
and concert performances. On June 13 the music from Battlestar Galactica will
kick-off the 2009 Grand Performances Series at California Plaza. Three days
later, on June 16, La-La Land Records will release the soundtrack for Caprica.

Bear McCreary will again conduct the music from Battlestar Galactica for three
nights at the House of Blues in San Diego from July 23-25th - during Comic Con!
The concerts will celebrate the July 21 release of a special 2-CD set,
Battlestar Galactica: Season 4.

Battlestar Galactica began as an original SCI FI Channel mini-series in 2003.
Billions of human lives were consumed by nuclear fires as the Cylons,
intelligent robots created by man, rebelled against their makers. A small,
rag-tag fleet of survivors escaped and fled into the outer reaches of the
universe in search of the mythical, lost "13th colony" - Earth.

The SCI FI series celebrated its finale in March of 2009, having received
boundless critical acclaim and awards, including the prestigious Peabody Award
as well as special recognition from the United Nations. A few weeks later, the
prequel Caprica, set 50 years before the events of Battlestar Galactica, was
released on DVD by Universal Home Entertainment. Caprica will begin airing in
early 2010 on the SCI FI Channel. The series chronicles an astonishing
scientific breakthrough taking shape on the planet Caprica. The rapidly
evolving spheres of human and mechanical engineering have collided, along with
the fates of two families. Joined by tragedy in an explosive instant of terror,
two rival clans led by powerful patriarchs, Joseph Adama (Esai Morales) and
Daniel Graystone (Eric Stoltz) duel in an era of questionable ethics, corporate
machinations and unbridled personal ambition as the final war for humanity
looms.

On June 16, 2009 La-La Land Records will release the soundtrack for Caprica,
composed by Bear McCreary, one of the top young composers working in Hollywood.
His work on the television series Battlestar Galactica has been described as
offering "some of the most innovative music on TV today," by Variety, and his
blog www.bearmccreary.com/blog, which features in-depth inside looks at the
process of scoring Battlestar Galactica, was called "one of the best blogs in
the business. It's a fascinating look at the process of making music for film
and television and the care he takes with aligning the score with the twists and
turns of each character's plot lines," by The Hollywood Reporter.

Bear McCreary's feature film credits include Wrong Turn 2 and the Rest Stop
films. He also scores the series Eureka and Terminator: The Sarah Connor
Chronicles and will be scoring the upcoming SCI FI series Caprica and the Capcom
video game Dark Void. McCreary was among a handful of select protégés of late
film music legend Elmer Bernstein and is a classically trained composer with
degrees in Composition and Recording Arts from the prestigious USC Thornton
School of Music.

In 2005 La-La Land Records released the soundtrack for Battlestar Galatica:
Season One, which quickly became the top selling release by the label. One year
later, the second season was released and was celebrated with Bear McCreary's
first sold-out concert performance in Los Angeles. In 2008 the concerts moved
to a larger venue selling out two nights at the famed Roxy on the Sunset Strip.
The two-CD Season Four soundtrack will be released on July 21st. The first disc
features music from seasons 4.0 and 4.5, with the music from "Daybreak", the
stunning series finale, featured on the second disc.

The Caprica original soundtrack will be available in stores or from
www.lalalandrecords.com on June 16, 2009. Battlestar Galactica: Season 4 will
be available on July 21st.

How many people want to see more Battlestar Galactica novels based on the first
or third series? I like to know.

I think that the only way the fans of either series will see anything new is to
do it themselves, the first attemp at revival failed, so I think an attemp for
the latter series would go the same way.

It is an unfortunate fact of life that the people behind these shows listen more
to the bean counters than they do the fans, What they forget is that if it
wasn't for the fans the program would have flubbed at the out-set and sunk into
the murky mire that the beanies (bean counters) tend to send a lot of sci-fi, it
stirkes me that that powers that be consider sci-fi to be the black sheep of the
film and television industry and as long as they keep their heads burried in the
sand the fans are fighting an up hill battle.

It would be awesome but I think we are fooling ourselves now. Baltar (most
awesome evil laugh ever) is dead, so is Adama (their portrayers I mean).

I was never a fan of Hatch's novels, primarily because he is almost as guilty as
RM of discarding the first series. His continuity with all but SSW is terrible.
If you are going to do a continuation, do a continuation from the end of the
series...

My tuppence...

Please, for frakkin sake, the last thing Tv needs is another lame crappy
SciFi show. Moore's version did more to bring respectability to the genre
than any other SciFi show I can think of. The original Galactica was soo bad
in a cheesy, lame way that it was funny

I bet if Stargate SG1 or Atlantis had been competing against that Galactica
would have tanked. Those two series were simply awesome. And original!

It should have done before Ron Moore got ahold of it. Perhaps there will be
justice to the original, finally.

earth in the present day. If the scenario mentioned (They get nuked by us is
correct, perhaps it's better that was put in file 13). But the general idea had
so much potential. The clash of civilzations, culture, religions, a near
bottomless sea of dramatic potential. One can imaginge good people on both
sides trying to bring together a alliance against the Cylons, with villians on
both sides complicating things.

musing that he had no respect for the military, and despite his efforts to hang
mystic trappings all over the place, for religion either. And that's one thing
I liked about the original Galactica, Adama was a man of great faith (Check out
the series on DVD, the unaired delected scenes showed this well). Compare this
to new Trek where the characters only had faith in themselves, nothing higher.

Here's hoping!
