I think that the only way the fans of either series will see anything new is to
do it themselves, the first attemp at revival failed, so I think an attemp for
the latter series would go the same way.

It is an unfortunate fact of life that the people behind these shows listen more
to the bean counters than they do the fans, What they forget is that if it
wasn't for the fans the program would have flubbed at the out-set and sunk into
the murky mire that the beanies (bean counters) tend to send a lot of sci-fi, it
stirkes me that that powers that be consider sci-fi to be the black sheep of the
film and television industry and as long as they keep their heads burried in the
sand the fans are fighting an up hill battle.
