FEBRUARY 16, 1966

"A Riddle A Day Keeps The Riddler Away" (prod. #8711-Pt. 1) first aired @
7:30p.m. EST on ABC as the 11th episode of Batman.

Appearance #2 of Frank Gorshin as The Riddler.

Reginald Denny (King Boris) went on to portray his final role, that of Commodore
Schmidlapp in the 1966 Batman motion picture.

Marvin Miller (TV Announcer) played Michael Anthony on the 1955-60 CBS series
The Millionaire.

This episode is unusually dark in its look and like a few of the other episodes
early on ("The Purr-fect Crime" being another), is played almost completely
straight with very little camp.

FEBRUARY 17, 1966

"When The Rat's Away The Mice Will Play" (prod. #8711-Pt. 2) first aired @
7:30p.m. EST on ABC as the 12th episode of Batman.

Look for the blatantly (campy) stuffed dummies of Batman and Robin on the drive
shaft.

During the recap scene at the beginning of this episode, we're supposed to be
shown a sketch of The Riddler's waterworks hideout, but instead we are shown the
sketch of Dawn Robbins' penthouse apartment, which appeared in episode #8703-Pt.
2, "The Penguin's a Jinx."

FEBRUARY 15, 1967

"The Joker's Last Laugh" (prod. #9747-Pt. 1) first aired @ 7:30p.m. EST on ABC
as the 81st episode of Batman.

These were the final episodes of Batman ever composed by Lorenzo Semple Jr.

Lawrence Montaigne (Mr. Glee) is recognized by fans of Star Trek (NBC, 1966-69)
as Decius in "Balance Of Terror" (Dec. 15, 1966) and Stonn in its second season
debut, "Amok Time" (Sept. 15, 1967). The same episode also featured another
two-time Star Trek guest: Phyllis Douglas ("The Galileo Seven" and "The Way To
Eden").

The infamous Jokemobile first appeared in this episode.

FEBRUARY 16, 1967

"The Joker's Epitaph" (prod. #9747-Pt. 2) first aired @ 7:30p.m. EST on ABC as
the 82nd episode of Batman.

FEBRUARY 15, 1968
