As the site starts year 4, we have two "new" articles plus a link to
an interesting Penfield article about Pete's fans.

A flurry of new stuff arrived this week from several people. (I
haven't even put it all on the website yet, but am saving some for the
next update.) This week with have two interesting articles, plus
numerous rare photos. Enjoy!

Some great photos, sent by several people, have been added to
http://www.asjcollection.com
Plus, there's a very interesting interview with Pete from 1967. It
contains information that that I've never read elsewhere.

The server that houses the AS&J Collection has experienced
a "catastrophic hardware failure". Consequently, the IP address of
the hardware has changed. The website's URL has reverted and is
forwarding to an old page. To correct this, I must reload all
website files. Normally, this would not be a problem.
HOWEVER, I am currently on vacation and cannot reload the files until
I return home. Thus, the website will be down for the next 11 days.
In the meantime, the site's message board is still accessible. Its
URL is:
http://members2.boardhost.com/asjcollection/
A number of people have e-mailed me privately about this. As I am on
vacation and do not have regular e-mail access, I will not be sending
individual responses and will be checking my e-mail infrequently.

There are some great new photos of Pete, updated artwork, an article
(with several interesting photos), and a new poll at:
http://www.asjcollection.com
Enjoy!

A number of interesting things for the website arrived in this week's
mail. It may be a few weeks before I have time to scan everything,
but I've added a few quick items at:
http://www.asjcollection.com
BTW, the Message Board server is undergoing maintenance today. So, if
it's down when you try, it will eventually be back. If you haven't
already done so, you might want to read about the interesting VIP tour
of Universal that some fans took.

Since the Run for the Roses is this afternoon, I thought you might
like to read about the Murphy Bed of Roses. (What a rough work
schedule!)

Plus, there's a great Heyes photo from Pat.
Happy Saturady,

The asjcollection mailing list does not allow members to send
messages to the list. However, I received the message below from a
member. Some of you may be interested in walking in the same streets
frequented by Heyes and Curry, so I'm passing the message along:
If anyone from Southern California (or anyone who is going to _be_ in
Southern CA) would be interested in the VIP tour of Universal Studios
on May 18-19, please contact me offlist.

Some "new" and very interesting articles and photos have been added

Lost time, unhitchables, bachelor-boy make up our article line-up
this week at

The site's winding down, but there is still some good stuff yet to
come.

Good morning! It's time for another weekly update at:
http://www.asjcollection.com
Six weeks ago I said that there was enough "new" material for 4-6 more
weeks of updates. Well, thanks to several generous people (plus my
own purchases from Jerry Ohlinger's) there is still enough stuff for
4-6 more weeks of updates. And who knows what will happen 4-6 weeks
from now.

The Tiger Beat/Rona Barrett interview with Pete, another great color
photo from FAB 208, a 1972 communication from ABC TV to fans, and
more at

I've had some messages from some of you saying that they couldn't
access the website. The problem is NOT related to the AS&J
Collection website or to its server. (I erroneously told a couple of
people that the problem was caused a server reboot.)
The problem is much more universal. One of the USA's major suppliers
of internet connectivity, Frontier GlobalCenter (FGC, which owns
13,000 miles of fiber optics cables) is having severe "technical
difficulties". For whatever reason, they cannot handle their normal
volume of traffic related to websites, e-mail, etc. Hopefully, this
will be fixed soon.

New photos, articles, and poll have been added to
http://www.asjcollection.com
However, currently (Friday morning) the freevote polling site is down
for maintenance. It should be in operation again soon.

I'm rather early this week. I'm going out of town for a few days and
wanted to put out the Ben's birthday update before I left.
There's also a great color photo of Geoff and Shoshone.

me.
