You're not the only one. The second season of 'Postcards from Buster'
was animated the same way, and I remember thinking 'I hope they don't
make Arthur like that.'

And they did.

I miss the hand-drawn cels of the old episodes. It gave them more of a
storybook feel, highlighting the show's roots as a book series. Now it
looks like they're using Flash to animate it. I suppose digital is
cheaper, and with the shape the economy is in right now, they probably
don't have much of a choice.
