WAITING

 

Time meant nothing to Spike after Angel had received the Shanshu that night in the alley. 

 

From then on, human and vampire had fought to keep their connection, but they already knew that they were doomed as lovers.

 

After a few years, Spike reluctantly left Angel to his new life as provider and father, fighting the good fight whenever he could.  

 

But, unbeknownst to Angel, Spike was always there in the shadows, watching and waiting until today, when it was time.

 

As the last shovelful of dirt hit Angel’s grave, Spike took off his duster and walked into the sun.
