Interesting point, I agree, I don't think she has really stopped to
think about it yet, but when she does, she has to want to save him. Her
facial expressions, in that last scene, almost broke my heart, and when
you add to that the fact that he really didn't even understand what was
going on, we are talking major cry fest. I need a klenex. :)

She might be so caught up in her misery that she won't know there is a
possibility to bring him back - and unless it is written in that note
she left her mother, there is no way that the rest of the slayerettes
will know. I am thinking that the Whistler (or maybe dru) will play a
major part in rescuiing Angel.

I've been reading some of the other lists and they are talking about
Buffy's departure and return to SunnyDale. An interesting idea was
that, no matter what she believes now, that he is lost to her perhaps,
etc. She will eventually realize what we have all been talking about,
namely that he is still alive and that there is a possibility of
rescuing him. What will she do? Will she go back to SunnyDale for help
from the Slayeretts? Will she hunt Whistler and get his assistance?
What do you think? Any other options worth considering?

I think with Joss involved it has a chance of being great. I also think
David is a talented actor, unlike other comments I've read on some other
groups. So, other than the fact that I'll miss him on BtVS, I'm looking
foward to it.

Sorry, I read this after my last post. Sounds like we're on the same

could be. I think it would be more poingnant if Buffy plays a role in

Oh, come on Aly, how can we have a list about Angel and not talk about
how hot David is? It is physically impossible. Of course, some of the
guys might get mad at us, so I promise to try to keep it at a minimum,
but, oh, my.

Oh, I know, but the eternal optimist in me just will not give it up, and
it is so long until we get to see a new episode. :)
So, does anyone have any ideas about what might happen in the new series
and what part Whistler might play? I sort of think, that maybe he'll be
a watcher type for Angel. Of course, that's speculation on my part,
nothing really to base it on. I do hope that there are lots of
crossovers, I love the chemistry between Buffy and Angel.

All the indicators are saying it will be great:
1 - The vampire with a soul trying to fit into human society bit has
been done before - forever knight - and it was one of the biggest cult
hits ever.
2 - Joss Whedon is writing it. Enough said.
3 - it will start out with a pretty strong fan following (the whole
Buffy contigent) which is a lot more than a lot of shows have.
4 - David Boreanaz :)

Hi Shonaille,
I am thinking he will play the perennial sidekick role - ala gabrielle
of Xena or Ioalus of Hercules, but a little more brain help than
muscle help. (Maybe like the sidekick whose name I can't remember from
Quantum Leap?)
If we draw parallels to Buffy, he could be "Angel's" take on the

Larry,
well, at least you are honest.
The new "Angel" series is supposed to be a complete departure from
"Buffy". It isn't about the same teen angst we are used to - although
Joss has made a heart wrenching art of it with Buffy. This is more
about the pain of adulthood - something many of us are learning to
appreciate more and more.
I heard a rumor that Joss is naming the new series "Blood Brothers",
and a different rumor that it is being named "Angel". Being that both
are names of upcoming Angel novels - who knows?

Hi :)
This is just a message to let everyone know about some new
developments on the web since plans were announced to commence the new
Buffy spinoff, Angel.
1 - There is a new mailing list devoted to the series, the first of
it's kind. You can join by going to http://www.onelist.com and
subscribing to the "angelseries" list.
2- The only webpage available right now for the show is at the Aly
Zone site - go to http://www.interport.net/~walansky/aly.htm and
following the link entitled "Angel-The Series". Buffy fans should also
follow the Buffy links and vote in this week's Buffy poll, which asks
visitors to vote on their favorite all-time Buffy episode.
3-If you have a website devoted to any Buffy actor or character, or
the show as a whole, you might be interested in being one of the first
people to join the first and only webring devoted to the new Angel
series. To join the webring, go to
