interested in a different kind of role-playing experience.

Since you obviously love to role-play enough to start your own yahoo
group and advertise it, we would like you to check out a new style
role-play, different from the back and forth messaging of Yahoo. Our
community role-plays in a real time environment with real time
interaction between players. You might be familiar with this type of
format before, in a chat room or ¡°play by post¡± setting. We operate
twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. (Unless our server is
down!) Our chat room is located on a larger chat service called
Project JJ, which was initially created by role-players for role-
players. Our room is just one of many on the service but we would
like to tell you just a little bit more about our corner of the role-
playing universe called St. Solanus.

After most of us had spent a few years within the Project JJ
community, role-playing in Star Wars themed rooms, fantasy themed
rooms, vampire themed rooms, we saw the same plots being done over
and over again, just with some different twist because of the breed
of character. We got together and decided that we might as well just
make a soap opera character room, where clich¨¦s that would normally
be frowned upon in other rooms (like rapid aging of children,
affairs, etc) would be not only accepted but also encouraged. We
removed the special setting, the strange breeds of characters, the
time period and made it just what all these rooms are really about¡­
role-playing and drama.

Now we call ourselves a ¡°soap opera role-playing¡± room because, to
us, that is essentially what all the role-play we had participated in
boiled down to. We also wanted to give people a chance to be able to
play characters from sitcoms or soap operas or nighttime dramas that
they wouldn¡¯t have been able to play otherwise. For instance, right
now we have characters from shows as diverse as All My Children to
the cancelled Port Charles to Absolutely Fabulous to even The X-
Files! And somehow, because we all enjoying role-playing that much,
we are able to work everyone and every character into a plot within
the setting of the town of St. Solanus.

We would like for you to please visit our website, our chat room, and
our message board to get a feel for our room. If you think that it
might be someplace you would like to role-play, we encourage you to
please contact someone on our administrative team. We would also like
it if you could share this email with the members of your group so

Some of my friends have managed to meet a few nice ones off this thing (here is

Damn, it has sure been a while... I just realized today that it's been 18 months
since I went out with a special lady last, but I'm pretty happy to be heading
out tonight. I've had a bit of trouble finding ANY decent women lately so I
