Hi all, I have just joined this group because I am desperately seeking the
answer to a question.

I'm doing a bit of research into the Wombles pop group, and I've been given a
piece of info about Robin Le Mesurier (John Le Mesurier and Hattie Jacques's
son) who played guitar in the Wombles pop group c. 1975. I was told that Robin
was caught in possession of Marijuana and that for this reason he was thrown out
of the Wombles. I know Robin did play with the band, but although I have been
told that the 'shock Womble caught with Marijuana' headlines were everywhere, I
haven't been able to find any newspaper cuttings or other authentication.

Is there anyone out there who knows if this story is true?
