It's Orinoco and he's missing his big brown floppy hat. I've got a complete one
staring at
me from the
bookshelf above my desk as I write, with Wellington (same maker) beside him. The
voice
boxes on the
Burbank toys seemed to be defective but I've not had the courage to perform
surgery to
repair them [I
swoon at the sight of stuffing ;-) ]. Mine worked for a few days when I first
bought them
circa 1985 -
short phrases like "Womble up your toys when you're finished playing!", "We
Wombles are
really very
friendly", "We Womble by night and we Womble by day."

Can anyone please help me identify my Womble?<BR>
All he is wearing is a red neck scarf, he's about 14 inch tall. Grey <BR>
body hair, brown hands, inside ears, and face.<BR>
He has a pulley on his left side, but unfortunately no longer <BR>
talks/sings. <BR>
His label says manufactured by Burbank toys in England.<BR>
Pile fabric conforms to B.S 4569 for protection of voice box surface <BR>
wash only. Eyes plastic white and brown, black nose.<BR>
Look forward to hearing from anyone with info.<BR>
