I'm beginning to wonder if Katie really wants the Apprentice job or is
simply using it as a stepping stone to a media career.
Look at the way she simpers and flutters her eyelashes at Sir Alan.
She doesn't appear to take anything he says with any seriousness. Mind
you as she's apparently already said she thinks he thick and she's
already admitted she's the cleverest in the house she wouldn't want to
work for a minor multi-millionare would she?
Jim
On The Apprentice last night it struck for probably the 4th or 5th
time in the series that although the candidates claim they're having a
strategy session they're not.
For example the session they had last night seemed to consist simply
of deciding what to buy. Some strategy questions would have been
useful first...like...
What do we in Britain do that the French don't and that they'd appreciate?
Is there anyone we can contact who could give us examples of foods
they know would go down well (for example chef's in lots of London's
hotels and restaurants).
How should we present ourselves?
How should we present the food as part of our presentation?
And on, and on...
The two glaring errors they made so stupid and I go into more detail
on my blog posting over at www.acornservice.blogspot.com
Jim
I've already blogged about The Red Nose Day Apprentice show for Comic
Relief.
My blog
(http://acornservice.blogspot.com/2007/03/great-news-for-business-people.html)
is currently showing the list of people, with ages and locations who
are the new candidates for series 3.
I've also got links to the BBC and to a great article in the Daily
Mail which has the main photo and individual ones for each apprentice.
Also I've noticed the BBC has just changed their Apprentice web pages
and taken off all series 2 content to leave a holding page with just
the series 3 group photo.

Could someone tell me the music used in the apprentice in the board
room when people are being fired?
I need it for a project, thanks.
Could you email me at moorblack@...
I wouldn't!
He is indecisive, inconsistant, boring and even stupid...
Compared with Donald Trump, he is such a misery to watch!
And look at all these decisions he made in the boardroom, total disasters!
Thankyou that was a very good insite into whats going on i used to
love the show but i moved to Italy after 3 porgammes and i really miss
it :(

Sorting the wheat from the chaff is in very good hands and Sir Alan
gets it right every week!
Last night's task - country market I thought was a tough one but Ben
had to go!
He seemed completely out of sorts and depth.
BUT!!!
How lucky are Saira and Raj?? They have to be the most infuriating of
the dubious suspects.
In this task it was James who came up with the winning idea of
chutneys without which they (First Forte - what a cr*p name!!) would
have been singing in the rain.
To be fair to Saira, she did turn around her initial mistake of
agreeing to pay the chef £50.00/hr and worked damned hard to win the
task.
But Raj is the biggest waste of space in the programme. Largely
anonymous in every task, cosying up to and being domineered by Saira
at every opportunity and seemingly cannot string more than three
words together without tripping over his tongue. Obviously a
favourite for the 6-figure salary on offer then...
Comes across as a typical Indian mummy's boy! And believe me I have
met many.
Why is it both Saira and he always seem to have the usual Asian chip
on their shoulder....?
The "everybody's trying to pull me down" mentality.
Frankly they disgust me.
From Saira's excruciating enunciation of her words as though no-one
else can speak or understand English to her unwavering need to
talk/shout everyone down. As though by talking over people she'll
come across as knowing what she's doing and somehow absorb what she
lacks by osmosis. How patronising would it be as a professional if
someone was trying to buy/enlist your help and they spoke to you as
though you were 5 years old?
And when they both used the race card in explanation of their failure
with the art gallery task I was outraged.... This was their
fallback??? Unbelievable!!! Could it be.... and I'm clutching at
straws here.... that they were just out of their depth? That the
Impact team were actually better than they were, actually had an
appreciation of art and a familiarity/previous experience. They
engaged the husband & wife artists extremely well and showed passion
and interest in their work? If you go to view and understand art,
having a clipboard full of questions to ask (as Saira did) is
unlikely to engage... But hey, just call me picky.
The sooner these two go the better.
There are certainly many more capable, savvy, gifted young Asian
business talent out there for these two to be the pathetic
representatives they so obviously are.
In fact why are they in there at all? Surely the selection criteria
for candidates should have been on ability alone, not tokenism! So if
these are the pick of the crop then heaven help us.
So I'm incensed at these two. What can I say? They to my mind are
without a shred of integrity. And while the others (with the
exception of Paul) haven't overtly demonstrated it either, neither
have they tried to sully any of the others. In the De-brief sessions
have either Raj or Saira ever said a single positive thing about the
other team or individuals?
Protect yourself from being fired yes, but acknowledge
achievements/abilities in others too. That is what is known as
character or breeding, a quality sadly lacking in these two.
So rant over, who's my money on?
Paul or Miriam.
