The animated Buffy the Vampire Slayer series is back on the drawing
board -with Sarah Michelle Gellar erased from the cast. According
to sources, she chose not to reprise her role, leading creator Joss
Whedon to recruit voice-over star Giselle Loren to mouth off
alongside Alyson Hannigan, Nicholas Brendon and Anthony Stewart Head
in the pilot (potential distributors get a peek next month). In the
meantime, story-line possibilities are endless. Says Whedon's
rep: "Buffy can now shrink to the size of an ant, and it doesn't
matter." That's assuming she can find a really small stake."
