I can't believe it's over! Nothing to look forward to on Thursday
nights anymore. I think I first cried when Summer went on the bus. And
I really cried the last 10 minutes of the show.
I was so sad when they were showing the empty house, and Ryan walking
through the poolhouse & the house thinking of his first time there
(seriously, I didn't think I'd stop crying!). It just might have been
sadder then the 3rd season finale.
I just can't believe I'll never watch a new episode again. And it
seems silly to cry over a show, but it wasn't just a show. It was the
first show I ever got obsessed with, and it was one of a kind. You
just followed these people's lives and was a part of their life for 4
seasons. For me, there will never be a show like it again.
I thought tonight's finale was very good. It was bittersweet. I'm just
glad it wasn't a tragic ending, and that it was actually a happy one.
What did everyone else think?

If you're a big fan like me, tonight is a sad night. Tonight we say goodbye to a great show. I've been with the show all 4 seasons and am truely sad it's ending.
Hello fellow group members.
If you're a big fan like me, tonight is a sad night. Tonight we say
goodbye to a great show. I've been with the show all 4 seasons and am
truely sad it's ending.
Be there tonight at 9/8c to say goodbye.
George, I really really wish you would stop dissing the dead Marissa. If your whole life is happier because the idiot writers killed off a character, i'm happy for you. But I just watched this contrived ridiculous earthquake episode, and am ashamed of what this show has become. I hung on every word in every episode in Season 1, and then witnessed a steady sad decline.
So while you exult in the dead Marissa, please have at least a little sympathy for those of us who feel we lost a show that we loved when they killed off her character.
Since The OC is sadly ending, since no one hardly ever e-mails on this loop, and
since the moderator allows SPAM to come through to this loop all the time....I
am going to say goodbye and unsubscribe. The OC will be missed but thank
goodness I got one season without "Marissa" and thank goodness we have DVD's! :)
Take care everyone!
George

I used to think that if it seemed to good to be true ir probably was, that was
until i found this company http://nestoverhere.info/hocd
<http://nestoverhere.info/hocd> they gave me the best deal on my home ever!
have a look you wont be dissapointed!
So apparently no one in this group cares about the oc, just stupid crap, fake ba's and fake loans. I asked for an update like monday and no one would give it to me and this is the first thing I have gotten since then. I am going to unsubscribe from this group and enjoy the last couple of episodes of my favorite show without having to deal with spam in my email when I think it is about my favorite show.

I know. I thought that when they did that that it was retarded. I hope that the last eppy is when seth and summer get married. Thats what I am hoping. I wasn't what I expecting either.

Che told julie about his inner animal being a frog and that the other half is an OTTER. Seth was up stairs tellling summer that his inner animal waz an OTTER. For me, I obses over this show not only because of the story line but
because all of the main actors make this show so believable that It
just seems so real. My opinion, Marissa's character was always the
same, she really wasn't given a different direction to go in,there for
I disliked her the most. I'm glad she is gone. I think Katlyn plays her
part good but compared to every one else on the show she's not as good
for making things real. As for the rest of the cast they are all just
so perfect together in the show. I think they shouldn't have killed off
Caleb Nickel because he always had a good scandal with the adults and a
couple with the youth. Sorry for the long postings I could go on
forever.
I think that you are right. But I just got this article that said the ending with seth and summer will be bad.

You would think that since the show is ending that they would make the story end like the good old days. I don't know what Josh Swartz deal is but if he's going to give up on The O.C. he better be writing for the show to go out in a classical happy ending to make it up (just a little bit) to the fans. If he doesn't, then there might be some consequences in
low ratings for his next two up coming pilots.

Unfortunately, yes Che is back and I was very annoyed b/c instead of Summer calling up Seth like she used to she tells are her problems to Che and he ended up making her laugh!! When was the last time Seth made Summer laugh, or mad enough to slap him like back in the good old days. I miss the good old days

Fox's once-hot 'The O.C.' is canceled By LYNN ELBER, AP Television
Writer
1 hour, 1 minute ago
LOS ANGELES - "The O.C.," the once-hot teenage soap opera that saw
its ratings plummet like a delinquent student's grades, has been
canceled. The final episode of the drama will air 9 p.m. EST
Thursday, Feb. 22, Fox TV and Warner Bros. Television Production Inc.
said Wednesday.
The finale "will deliver real closure to the series, to the story we
began telling four years ago," series creator Josh Schwartz said in a
statement. "It will be fun and emotional and I think really
satisfying. It is the finale we always planned to do."
Based in the affluent Orange County, Calif., city of Newport
Beach, "The O.C." caught fire in its first season, 2003-04, as the
top-rated drama among advertiser-favored young adults and with a
total audience of nearly 10 million.
The show's story lines revolved around Ryan ( Benjamin
McKenzie), an outsider thrust into a heady new world of money and
sex, and rich high school kids including Seth Cohen ( Adam
Brody) and Marissa Cooper ( Mischa Barton) and their families.
"The O.C." didn't sustain its momentum, dropping to about 7 million
weekly viewers during 2004-05 and then to fewer than 6 million last
season. This year, returning in November after Fox wrapped its
postseason baseball coverage, "The O.C." has only drawn about 4
million viewers.
Observers have pointed to a variety of possible reasons for the
slump, including inconsistent quality, the fickleness of younger
viewers and a time-slot change.
The third-season finale's high drama, in which Marissa was killed in
a car crash, didn't turn the series around. This year found Ryan
confronting the death of his one-time girlfriend and the man who
caused it.
Fox ordered 16 episodes for the 2006-07 season and all will have
aired when the series concludes in February, a network spokesman said
Wednesday.
Others in the show's cast include Peter Gallagher, Kelly
Rowan, Melinda Clarke, Rachel Bilson and Autumn Reeser.
Despite its brief heyday, the show helped establish cast members
including Brody, Bilson and Barton as fan and tabloid favorites.
A replacement for the series was not immediately announced by Fox.

Not true, George. There were stories, yes, but Mischa has said herself and Rachel Bilson confirmed that she did NOT want to leave the show. There were definitely some negative stories about her, but they were disputed by others. I know you are happy she left the show. I am miserable about it.
Sorry but I find that hard to believe because I have read many, many times in
different places on and offline that she DID want to leave and some of her
actions around the set we not up to par so they were probably as glad to get rid
of her as I was. Whoops! Sorry! LOL! George

well if mischa barton hadn't wanted to leave, then they wouldn't have taken the
easy way ouy. i never saw the O.C. as the ryan/marissa show. it quite sad ppl
can't move past it. they might discover it is just as enjoyable w/o marissa.
