Hi, is your private in Santa Monica? I have observed since they lengthen the time I dont think many stiff competitors applied, I dont even think many made it through the 12 pages, that is why "correct me if I am wrong" the application was shorten, I feel that the majority couldnt answer some of the Q & A'S of the first application and not enough applicant's.....or it would be "ON" and there would be NO shortening of ap's or extra time given. Just my personal thoughts :)

Open call, I dont think they are calling peeps in yet, the 1st deadline was only the other day....I am sure they want to see the outcome before calling people in, plus I am sure they are going to wait for after open call to compare and see who they like and weed OUT waste of time peeps and put some real drama into the show :)

They have open calls all over the country starting last week and
going through early July. If you go in person, no need for video! I
suspect they'll narrow the group by checking your 'look' and letting
you say 10 words or so about yourself. That's basically what I did
via email.
BTW, McDonald is a competitor to LM. Like LM, it was a NYSE regional

I am completely confused. When I emailed them, they told me to look up the
open call locations and go. But what about my lame video that I sent in? Also,
there are no open calls near me. Should I fly to one of the other locations??
Did you get the 10 page application online? I had a 12 page application and
there's a 5 page application. I never saw a 10 page application. I am so
confused.

would really like to see you at this event.
A second option would be to send in a tape as the deadline has been
pushed to June 24. However I would prefer to meet you in the your city.
Hope to see you soon,
HOllis
I am upset now because I was sooo stressed on doing the video that now, I
didn't have to do the video anyway!!!! I wasted all that time worrying
on what to do.
So is it an open call you are going to? Or is it an actual interview?
What city is this in???
I am in CA...I hope they come to my state soon.

Hi Apprentices! I saw an open call notice today on craigslist and
responded by email with my stats and a few pictures, since I can't
make the audition in my hometown. Can you believe I got a call to
have a live audition next week?! Wow - I didn't even expect to get a
response! Now I'm nervous. So go ahead and show up at the casting
calls - I was told you can do that instead of the video.
And does someone in this group work for Legg Mason? (I saw an email
disclaimer at the bottom of a posting.) I used to work for McDonald
& Co.
I noticed that there are only 5 members in the group now...but it would be nice
if we got it...we can have our own alliance! Too many Survivor episodes! LOL

WOW Lorna! Thanks for the words of encouragement! I got goose bumps reading
that :) :) How awesome you got to see other people that are applying!
Now I can't wait to get home and start working on this!
Have you found any interesting info on the web about all this?
I'll definitely keep you both posted :)
Where do you live Lorna?
BEST OF LUCK TO YOU TOO!!!

They have extended the deadline to June 24th. I hand carried my tape
and application in. I still had to mail it though, they would not
take a carried in submission because the address is just to a post
office box.
Wendy, I think you should still apply. I had no creative or original
ideas for my video either, so I made it really short. I am hoping my
application will get me in. I almost gave up too, but my husband
helped me get it done. I feel great just getting it in. From this
point on it's just destiny at work - if it's meant to be it will come
to me. If not, then there is something better waiting. Do it...intent
draws a lot to you in life.
There were other people coming in that day to drop off their packages
too. One guy came in with his submission wrapped like a birthday
present. He was trying to be really original and he ended up having
to unwrap it and just mail it regularly. Poor guy. Another one was a
girl on the telephone talking about business and she would not stop
talking long enough to even acknowledge the people behind the
counter. That was funny!
Good luck to all!

Lorna,
I wasn't too creative either..we'll see what happens. Did you notice that they
have open call dates listed on the website? What does that mean? You can apply
in person and not have to do the audition tape? I have a physical address for
them in Santa Monica and it isn't a Po Box.
I found an ad from them that they placed in seattle...

the deadline was yesterday, so I imagine they're still sifting through
everything that's come in...
How did you do your video??
I really wanted to do it but I chickened out at the last second...
The application was easy, but I didn't have any good ideas for the video.
Plus it would have been last second.
