Good lord (no pun intended), what is her motive for doing this? Is she trying
to destroy this church now that she has destroyed reality TV? Maybe she wants
to get her own talk show or write a line of books?

Omarosa to enter seminary in Dayton
By Kim Margolis | Thursday, August 13, 2009, 05:06 PM

Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth, one of the most notorious villains in reality TV
history is entering United Theological Seminary in Dayton on Monday, Aug. 17.

Stallworth will pursue a doctor of ministry, which will take about two years to
complete, said Ivan Hicks, UTC associate dean for African-American studies.

“She has expressed a calling in her life and it is our opportunity to provide
leadership and guidance as she makes a transformation,” Hicks said. “We’re
excited about her coming to school at UTS.”

Stallworth is known for in-your-face roles on “The Apprentice,” “The
Celebrity Apprentice” and “The Surreal Life.”

But Hicks knows her from his home church, The Metropolitan Baptist Church in
Washington, D.C. He said she has worked on issues involving the homeless and the
poor in Haiti.

“She certainly has a heart for ministry,” Hicks said.

Stallworth received her undergraduate degree from Central State University.

Hicks said the fact that Stallworth’s had her ups and downs will help make her
a good minister.

“Some of the good things and bad things we’ve done in our lives help us to
actually relate and to be more widely accepted as a minister,” he said.

Donald Trump backs 'Apprentice' Randal Pinkett for N.J. lieutenant governor
by The Associated Press
Wednesday July 15, 2009, 9:15 AM
ATLANTIC CITY -- Donald Trump said a former winner of his TV reality show would
do "fantastically" as New Jersey's lieutenant governor.

Randal Pinkett is among the names being considered by Gov. Jon Corzine as a
running mate in the November election contest with former U.S. Attorney Chris
Christie. Pinkett is a Somerset County businessman who won Season 4 of "The
Apprentice."

Trump, the real estate and casino mogul, said Pinkett emerged as the leader of a
group of intimidating, highly educated competitors by using charm instead of
pressure.

Trump told The Associated Press Pinkett "didn't do it with the stick."

Trump won't say whether he has spoken with Pinkett about the No. 2 job, but
added the Rhodes scholar is a tremendous leader.

I was watching Kathy Griffin's "My Life On The D-List" (Kathy appeared on the
Celebrity Apprentice finale and is a good friend of Joan Rivers) and watched how
she lobbied the Grammy people for a nomination for best comedy album. She
informs us that only two women have won a Grammy for best comedy album in the 60
year history of the show!!! I found this fact to be very disturbing even more
disturbing than Annie Duke. I know a lot of funny ladies in fact most of my role
models growing up were funny ladies (no not Babs)like Gilda Radner,Mary Tyler
Moore, Carol Burnett, Joan Rivers, Roseanne Barr, Lilly Tomlin, Jane Curtain,
Loraine Newman, and a host of others. They formed a good portion of my sense of
humor and personality. I can't believe these people couldn't find more than two
women in over sixty years who could make people laugh. It's an outrage,
seriously!!! We all should be marching the streets and demanding that this be
changed.

Ok my point is that I hope Joan records a comedy album this year and it
campaigns to get a Grammy next year. With her success on the Celebrity
Apprentice I am sure people would be receptive to the idea.
And I think the Grammys should award those women I have mentioned above lifetime
achievement awards for their comedy albums.

All of this is speculation since we don't know first hand what Stephen's
financial situation is. He could owe more on the house than it is worth and more
than he should pay back this making bankruptcy necessary. But whatever the case
may be it doesn't help when newspapers only provide us with a little piece of
information in order to create drama and increase sales. I hope his foreclosure
will improve his financial and personal situation but it has been my experience
that a foreclosure is never the best option except in a small percentage of the
cases. I do hope that he sough some type of financial/pre-foreclosure counseling
that might have prevented this. So many people don't realize that there are ways
to prevent foreclosure like having another investor take over the mortgage
payments and eventually buying the house from the owner (at a loss). You lose a
lot of the equity that you have in the house but it is better than having a
foreclosure on your record and needing up with nothing. The investor basically
pays the bank what is owed on the house and if there is anything left the owner
gets it.

really how does someone owe 850k in payments. He must have had a second mortgage
on the place. Otherwise I would have suggested foreclosure counseling. A good
investor could have sold it for him without having to go through foreclosure. It
makes me sad though. Where is he living now? I mean I would feel bad if he was
living in a crappy apartment somewhere. Maybe Alec can put him up in his

Everyone owes more on their house than it's worth.  That's the nature of
borrowing.

In the article, does it say that Baldwin made this "business decision"?  If
not, then why is it fair to make that assumption?

So again, how can he "take" $850K to buy a new home?  He can't necessarily.

Take what $850K?  You mean the $824K that he OWES?  He can't do anything with
money that he doesn't have, that's the reason he's in foreclosure in the first
place.  And he might actually be staying in his house as long as possible.

Maybe he just made a business decision to let the house go. A smart person might
simply stay in their house as long as possible and then, upon eviction, either
rent an apartment in the newly degraded rental market of NYC or take that $850K
and buy another house for cash.  Stephen Baldwin strikes me as a smart person.

That is very very sad!!! I don't know why he couldn't afford a %50k home to

wonder what happened to his money from all of the pictures he's made??? But
really how does someone owe 850k in payments. He must have had a second mortgage
on the place. Otherwise I would have suggested foreclosure counseling. A good
investor could have sold it for him without having to go through foreclosure. It
makes me sad though. Where is he living now? I mean I would feel bad if he was

You are right in that it is "over $824,000" and not $850K. However, regarding
the rest you are making the assumption that he does not have the money to pay
his mortgage. I think he does have the money but is making a decision to not
waste it by paying a mortgage on a house that is not worth what is owed on it.
Baldwin does not "owe" the $824K. Rather, he has defaulted on "more than
$824,000 in mortgage payments". He had tried, unsuccessfully, to sell the house
in 2006. So, he obviously has wanted out of the house for several years. If he
has not been paying the mortgage but has been working and earning a living he
may well have the money to pay for his house, but is making a business decision
*not to pay the mortgage*. Many people do this. If one paid too much for a
house or if what is owed on a house is more than the house is actually worth, it
makes sense to stay in the property, save one's money while letting the property
go into foreclosure. Then take the money one has saved by not paying the
mortgage and then either rent or buy a less expensive house for cash. Why keep
making payments on a house that you don't really want. Let the bank have it and
move on with your life. I believe that is what Stephen Baldwin is doing.

Annie said "You can't let your emotions dictate your actions" yet she was guilty
of that herself, letting Joan get under her skin. Does Annie even realize how
stupid she sounds? She says that she "never reacted" to Joan. LOL -
what-ever. I can't believe that she is still saying that.

Poker ace Annie Duke keeps emotions at bay

Appearance on 'Celebrity Apprentice' brought her a new legion of fans

By HOWARD STUTZ
LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL

Tournament at the Rio. The event draws some of the biggest names in poker.

Annie Duke treats poker like business.

She thinks it's a lesson business people should follow.

"You can't let your emotions dictate your actions," Duke said. "You will always
lose. In poker and business, you see people reacting with emotion. It's
important not to react to something, but to plan your next move."

Duke, 43, is arguably one of the most successful female poker
players on the circuit, and she is popular among poker fans. She's been playing
in the World Series of Poker since 1994 and has cashed in 37 events, earning
more than $1.13 million through this year's tournament at the Rio.

In 2004, Duke won an Omaha High-Low event for her first World Series of Poker
champion's bracelet.

Her best finish in the tournament's $10,000 buy-in no-limit hold'em Main Event
was in 2000 when she placed 10th and won $52,160.

"I'll probably play in about 15 or 20 events at the World Series," Duke said.
"It's a long haul."

Duke drafted a new legion of fans and followers as a contestant on the recently
concluded television series "The Celebrity Apprentice." She was one of 16
personalities trying to raise money for charity while trying not be fired by the
host, billionaire real estate developer Donald Trump.

Duke finished second ahead of sports stars Scott Hamilton, Natalie Gulbis,
Dennis Rodman and Hershel Walker, country singer Clint Black, comedians Andrew
"Dice" Clay and Tom Green, and motorcycle designer Jesse James. But it was her
acrimonious verbal battles with comedienne Joan Rivers, the show's eventual
winner, that had audiences watching and
drove the show's ratings skyward.

At times during the episodes, Rivers said Duke was worse than
"Hitler" and compared poker players to members of the Mafia. The comments raised
the ire of the poker community, including World Series of Poker Commissioner
Jeffrey Pollack, who told media last month that he was looking forward to a
woman winning the tournament's Main Event title, "unless that woman happens to
be Joan Rivers."

As part of the contestants' final task, Duke raised hundreds of
thousands of dollars for her charity, Refugees International, mainly through her
connections in the poker community.

Reflecting on how the show played out, Duke said she was able to dispel Rivers'
stereotyping of poker players. Both Duke and Trump said "Celebrity Apprentice"
raised more than $1.5 million for various charities, and poker players played a
big part in the fund-raising efforts.

Duke believes Rivers owes poker players and Las Vegas an apology.

"Poker is a legitimate profession," said Duke, who is a graduate of Columbia
University with degrees in psychology and English. She also spent five years
working toward a doctorate at the University of Pennsylvania in cognitive
psychology, which she set aside. Divorced, Duke is the mother of four children,
ranging in age from 7 to 14.

"Most of us are math nerds," Duke said. "But poker players are very charitable
and concerned about the community. That wasn't how Joan portrayed us."

By finishing ahead of most of the show's more well-known
celebrities, Duke showed her business abilities, such as being able to think
quickly on her feet in order to complete a task when the contestants had only
hours or minutes to come up with a solution.

"I never reacted to Joan, which is how I play at the poker table,"
Duke said. "You learn quickly to let things slide off your back and not react
emotionally. That also works well in business."

Duke's management skills impressed Trump.

"I think Annie did a lot for the image of poker players," Trump
said. "She's extremely talented, and we saw that right from the first task."

As for the animosity between Duke and Rivers on the show, Trump said it was
real and not the result of creative editing or acting skills.

"It was major hatred and dislike," Trump said. "No one is that good an actress."

Pollack thought Duke's participation on "Celebrity Apprentice" gave poker a new
audience.

"The fact that a poker player at all, but certainly a poker player
of any stature, is on 'Celebrity Apprentice,' is a quantum leap forward for the
mainstreaming of poker into our pop culture," Pollack said. "I think Annie is
representing poker players beautifully."

Long before "Celebrity Apprentice," Duke was well known for her charitable
endeavors. Through poker events, she has raised millions for children's
hospitals and educational foundations.

In 2007, she and actor Don Cheadle established the Ante Up For Africa event, a
$5,000 buy-in no-limit hold'em game that raises funds for the survivors of the
humanitarian crisis in Dafur, Sudan. The event attracts both Hollywood
celebrities and poker's elite. Last year's game raised almost $500,000 for the
cause.

Duke is also an activist on Capitol Hill in trying to change the
federal law outlawing Internet wagering. She is one of the founding members of
the Poker Players Alliance, which supports making online poker a legal activity.
Duke can recite contradictions in federal regulations better than most
Washington, D.C., lobbyists.

"It's not a poker issue, it's a civil liberties issue," Duke said. "It's about
adults being allowed to do adult things."

poker players.

"For a while, it might have seemed like myself and Jennifer Harman were the only

I don't particularly like Stephen Baldwin and thought he came off as a goof on
Celebrity Apprentice 1, and kind of an arrogant jerk on the hotel task on
Celebrity Apprentice 2.  However, I do think this is a shame that his home is
being foreclosed as I don't wish bad on him or anything.  I wonder how his
situation got to that point, but on the other hand he's a celebrity but
certainly not an A-list celebrity or anything, and that area is outrageously
priced with high taxes and high cost-of-living.

NEW YORK – Actor Stephen Baldwin's foreclosed home in the suburbs north of New
York City will be publicly auctioned. Baldwin paid $515,000 for the 1.4-acre
home in Rockland County in 1997. In 2006, he tried unsuccessfully to sell it.
County filings show Baldwin and his wife Kennya defaulted on more than $824,000
in payments to mortgage holder Bankers Trust Co.  The auction is set for June
24. A representative for Baldwin couldn't be reached for comment. The actor has
starred in movies such as "Bio-Dome" and "The Usual Suspects." Recently, he's
appeared on reality television shows "The Celebrity Apprentice" and "I'm a
Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!"

Poker ace Annie Duke keeps emotions at bay

Appearance on 'Celebrity Apprentice' brought her a new legion of fans

By HOWARD STUTZ
LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL

Duke plays during this year's special 40th annual No-Limit Hold'em
$40,000 Tournament at the Rio. The event draws some of the biggest
names in poker.

Annie Duke treats poker like business.

She thinks it's a lesson business people should follow.

"You
can't let your emotions dictate your actions," Duke said. "You will
always lose. In poker and business, you see people reacting with
emotion. It's important not to react to something, but to plan your
next move."

Duke, 43, is arguably one of the most successful female poker
players on the circuit, and she is popular among poker fans. She's been
playing in the World Series of Poker since 1994 and has cashed in 37
events, earning more than $1.13 million through this year's tournament
at the Rio.

Duke drafted a new legion of fans and followers as a contestant on
the recently concluded television series "The Celebrity Apprentice."
She was one of 16 personalities trying to raise money for charity while
trying not be fired by the host, billionaire real estate developer
Donald Trump.

Duke finished second ahead of sports stars Scott Hamilton, Natalie
Gulbis, Dennis Rodman and Hershel Walker, country singer Clint Black,
comedians Andrew "Dice" Clay and Tom Green, and motorcycle designer
Jesse James.
But it was her acrimonious verbal battles with comedienne Joan
Rivers, the show's eventual winner, that had audiences watching and
drove the show's ratings skyward.

At times during the episodes, Rivers said Duke was worse than
"Hitler" and compared poker players to members of the Mafia. The
comments raised the ire of the poker community, including World Series
of Poker Commissioner Jeffrey Pollack, who told media last month that
he was looking forward to a woman winning the tournament's Main Event
title, "unless that woman happens to be Joan Rivers."

As part of the contestants' final task, Duke raised hundreds of
thousands of dollars for her charity, Refugees International, mainly
through her connections in the poker community.

Reflecting on how the show played out, Duke said she was able to
dispel Rivers' stereotyping of poker players. Both Duke and Trump said
"Celebrity Apprentice" raised more than $1.5 million for various
charities, and poker players played a big part in the fund-raising
efforts.

Duke believes Rivers owes poker players and Las Vegas an apology.

"Poker is a legitimate profession," said Duke, who is a graduate of
Columbia University with degrees in psychology and English. She also
spent five years working toward a doctorate at the University of
Pennsylvania in cognitive psychology, which she set aside. Divorced,
Duke is the mother of four children, ranging in age from 7 to 14.

"Most of us are math nerds," Duke said. "But poker players are very
charitable and concerned about the community. That wasn't how Joan
portrayed us."

By finishing ahead of most of the show's more well-known
celebrities, Duke showed her business abilities, such as being able to
think quickly on her feet in order to complete a task when the
contestants had only hours or minutes to come up with a solution.

"I never reacted to Joan, which is how I play at the poker table,"
Duke said. "You learn quickly to let things slide off your back and not
react emotionally. That also works well in business."

Duke's management skills impressed Trump.

"I think Annie did a lot for the image of poker players," Trump
said. "She's extremely talented, and we saw that right from the first
task."

As for the animosity between Duke and Rivers on the show, Trump said
it was real and not the result of creative editing or acting skills.

"It was major hatred and dislike," Trump said. "No one is that good an actress."

Pollack thought Duke's participation on "Celebrity Apprentice" gave poker a new
audience.

"The fact that a poker player at all, but certainly a poker player
of any stature, is on 'Celebrity Apprentice,' is a quantum leap forward
for the mainstreaming of poker into our pop culture," Pollack said. "I
think Annie is representing poker players beautifully."

Long before "Celebrity Apprentice," Duke was well known for her
charitable endeavors. Through poker events, she has raised millions for
children's hospitals and educational foundations.

In 2007, she and actor Don Cheadle established the Ante Up For
Africa event, a $5,000 buy-in no-limit hold'em game that raises funds
for the survivors of the humanitarian crisis in Dafur, Sudan. The event
attracts both Hollywood celebrities and poker's elite. Last year's game
raised almost $500,000 for the cause.

Duke is also an activist on Capitol Hill in trying to change the
federal law outlawing Internet wagering. She is one of the founding
members of the Poker Players Alliance, which supports making online
poker a legal activity. Duke can recite contradictions in federal
regulations better than most Washington, D.C., lobbyists.

"It's not a poker issue, it's a civil liberties issue," Duke said. "It's about
adults being allowed to do adult things."
Despite her success, Duke doesn't consider herself a trailblazer for female
poker players.

"For a while, it might have seemed like myself and Jennifer Harman
were the only women out there," Duke said. "The lines have blurred as
to what sex someone is, but it will be a huge deal the first time a
woman wins the Main Event."

Cool. that would be fun. But I wonder what the legality of it all is. I mean

It would explain why she supported a refugee charity. She would be sensitive to
people having a hard time getting into the country. Many of the Hitler youth and
Nazi clan had to hang out in South America before they could sneak their way
into the USA. They were experts at all sorts of illegal activity like gambling
and had mob connection. Their money was considered blood money because it was
earned through stealing from Jews before they went into the camps. Just
something to think about.

Annie is a total sore loser. Her fans are sore losers. Annie has been
incredibly ungracious about losing to Joan. I kept waiting for Annie to do
something to show a little class, like congratulating Joan, and say something to
let her fans know that she was not cheated out of the title of Celebrity
Apprentice. But instead Annie has been a sore loser, basically agreeing with
those who say that. So this stunt doesn't surprize me at all.Annie didn't
even go to the after-party. EvenTana and Rebecca weren't such sore losers to

It would explain why she supported a refugee charity. She would be sensitive
to people having a hard time getting into the country. Many of the Hitler
youth and Nazi clan had to hang out in South America before they could sneak
their way into the USA. They were experts at all sorts of illegal activity
like gambling and had mob connection. Their money was considered blood money
because it was earned through stealing from Jews before they went into the
camps. Just something to think about.

You are so right, Annie is not nearly as smart as she thinks she is. Just look
at her "strategy" for picking castmates to work on her team on the final task.
Basically no strategy at all. So winning the coin toss didn't give her any big
advantage anyway.

If you do start selling those t-shirts I will definitely buy one!!

Hey:

That is very insightful. And wasn't it funny how tom Green poked fun of Annie
during the finale when she cried about Joan's treatment of her. Tom spoke
volumes when he said "You let her get to you. Joan's a legend. It's a bade of
honor. I think you let her get to you". Annie isn't as tough as she makes
herself out to be. She is definitely not as smart as she says she is.

I want to sell "Annie Duke is Hitler" t-shirts with Annie wearing a Nazi
uniform and the words Annie Duke is Hitler underneath.

If Annie is so much better than Joan, why does she have to use Joan's
hard-earned fame to promote herself.
Check out Annie's website at
http://www.annieduke.com/2009/05/sucking-out-on-the-rivers/
Is this silly "girl" (as she likes to call herself) a sore loser or what?
Oh, yeah, and Annie's back in her crapola thrift store rags again. She
looks worse than the guys impersonating Ms. Rivers.
