I think Al is appreciative that Rivers had to carry the broadcasts
since Michaels was not as familiar with the NBA. And Rivers did a
standout job.

You can still tell that Rivers was a little rusty, but when Hubie
Brown teamed with Micheals in the next season, that really helped
Micheals.
