Over 50 sites and publivations have announced the movie including Variety, popcrunch, mtv news, E! and movieblog.

The film will be set inside the world created in the tv show and will present “a compelling story that launches a whole new set of characters.”

From what I remember before we filmed the first episodes the original movie idea would have been simular to "The Running Man " movie which coincidently came out in 1987 (which means it was filmed at the time the american gladiators movie idea was pitched).

HAHA yesterday at work. I had a customer ask me how much a book was. they pointed at the price tag saying "there are all these numbers! WHich one is the price?" I stated well.. the Our price (yeah the ticket says that in BIG letters) is 29.99.." She said "want about this 79.99 number here! " I told her "the 79.99 is the their price. See this ticket says 'theirs 79.99' 'OURS 29.99'". She then asked.. "well which one do I pay?!" In the most obnoxious voice like I was the moron... I replied very SLOWLY and trying not to cry or laugh.. "you pay the OUR price...29.99" She then yelled at me "well why didn't you just tell me that?! Fine I'll take it!" Thumbs up to the interviews.

Most of us have all the episodes anyways so getting bonus material would be icing on the cake

but hey. if they can't secure interviews from lace, sunny, blaze, zap, gemini, nitro, malibu or laser then put interviews on season 2 and get season 1 on the store shelves.

Don't push it back. The dvd's will spark interest again.

coming to DVD. It is set to release on July 14th. As for bonus feature
it will have new interview with the gladiators.
