Tempany has been performing since the age of ten . Her training was at a youth theatre in Melbourne for six years and then hit the 'Big Apple' for her adult training,at age 19. At sixteen years of age, Tempany scored a lead role in Australia's hugely popular TV show, Home and Away.

Tempany also has a best-selling series of novels for Scholastic Books Australia , Shooting Stars (4 volumes published so far).
