LATEST NEWS :: DukesFest Coming To Bristol In July , The classic television show “The Dukes of Hazzard” celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2004 and a star-studded event called “DukesFest” will take place at Bristol Motor Speedway and Dragway, July 31-Aug. 1, to honor the highly popular television series.

“DukesFest” will feature appearances by a number of the show’s original cast members, including Ben Jones (Cooter), Catherine Bach (Daisy Duke), James Best (Roscoe P. Coltrane), Sonny Shroyer (Enos) and Rick Hurst (Cletus). The General Lee, a 1969 Dodge Charger and truly one of the most famous cars in television history also will be on hand. The car was featured in every episode of the long-running series.

“DukesFest” also will feature a spectacular stunt show with some of the daredevils who actually worked on the television show. Other items on the weekend agenda include drag racing, country and bluegrass music and plenty of activities for children. It’s definitely a family-oriented weekend according to Ben Jones.

“Everything we do is geared toward families,” said Jones. “This is going to be a great couple of days and we couldn’t be happier about having it at Bristol Motor Speedway and Dragway.
