You might be thinking of the Australian TVseries "Round the Twist".
There was an episode about a boy who wore gloves because his hands was
growing scales. It turned out that his father was human and his mother
was a mermaid (er...don't ask how that was possible).

I hope this helps.

I have a bunch more episodes and I want to ask to make sure that it's
okay for me to post the download links up for other members to
download them from.

I don't think anyone would mind if you post a link.

I have a bunch more episodes and I want to ask to make sure that it's

I had found a website where I had downloaded the first 3 episodes of
Readalong. So I posted the videos in the files section for everyone to
share. If any other members are interested in any other old shows
(Eureka, Parlez Moi, Jeremy The Bear, etc.) they can sign up for this
website.
http://www.broszkowski.com
There are some downloads for TVO shows but other members can send
requests to the adminstrator of the website to request more episodes
from which ever TVO show that others are looking for.
I will email the administrator so he is aware of this.
Thanks
A good place to start is ebay. I found several of my series there.
Also, some members may trade tapes with you for something they like,
or may make copies for you. Stick around, and it won't be long until
you have a few good shows to enjoy at home.

Sounds good to me, this is a pretty cool group when the spam is kept
down to a dull roar. Maybe we can stem the tide of members leaving the
group and stimulate some fresh posts.

I run a 99% spam-free Yahoo group with little effort on my part. All I
do is make the default setting for all members "moderated". This means
that no message gets through without me okaying it. Of course, that's
not very practical. So, what I do is wait to see a post from members.
If their first post is on topic, then I go into "members" and
unmoderate that particular person. The list of unmoderated contributors
continues to grow as people post. Email addresses that generate spam or
inappropriate material are easily deleted and banned. No more spam! For
a small group, one moderator should be able to handle it. There is some
wisdom in having a couple of moderators though. This group is a case in
point. The moderator has disappeared and is no longer involved. They
should either have passed on the torch or deleted the group out of
respect to the members. So, when do we get to vote in the poll?
P.S. Looking for any info or memories of Elwy Yost's "Magic Shadows"
program from the mid-70s.

I wouldn't mind moderating the group either. In any case, we need
more than one moderator. That just makes it easier to keep on top of
getting rid of spam and policing the group. The new group moderator
should give moderator powers to a few other folks to spread the work
around.

I recently did some testing to see what the best file size would be
for a "Parlez-moi" episode download. Well, here it is... First the
minor info...
Original source: VHS
Transferred to: DVD
Encoded using: AutoGordianKnot Version 2.4
Running time: 9m37s
File size: 49.2 MB
Here's the link:

Enter your vote today! A new poll has been created for the
TVO-Kids group:
As per yahoo's rules, in order to change the moderator when their is no current
moderator we must conduct a poll? Who would you like to be the new moderator?
o junebuzzca
o thetvokid
To vote, please visit the following web page:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TVO-Kids/surveys?id=2496098
Note: Please do not reply to this message. Poll votes are
not collected via email. To vote, you must go to the Yahoo! Groups
web site listed above.
Thanks!
I emailed yahoo and tried to get them to make me a moderator in
order to clean out the spam in our group. This is the reply that I
received:
Thank you for writing to Yahoo! Groups.
In regards to being promoted to moderator status within the Yahoo!
Group
"TVO-Kids". So, you would like to a new moderator for your Yahoo!
Group.
Great, we can help!
To select a new moderator please use the groups polls feature to
create
a poll. Then list the member names, or email addresses, of a few
members who would like to be a moderator as these will be the
choices
for the poll. You will need to announce the poll to your group and
ask
the members to vote on who they would like to be moderator. Please
allow
the poll to remain open for a period of at least one week. Once the
poll
has closed, please email a reply back to us and we will appoint the
"elected" moderator.
We do apologize for any inconvenience during this process and please
let
us know if you have any additional questions or concerns.
Thank you again for contacting Yahoo! Groups.
Regards,
Lenny
Yahoo! Groups Customer Care
I'm up for the job but yahoo wants it to be an elected position so
anyone who would like to be listed in the poll please reply asap so
we can get the poll under way and the group cleaned up.
Jeremy
The group just needs to be moderated posts and then there will be no
more spam .

I joined this group to find out a tv show I remember watching when I
was a child and enjoyed talking to some of the people I meet on here
but with the emails asking if I want to get laid or increase my penis
or check out naked girls I am fed up it is really horrible that no one
monitors these this that we cant even have a chat about things without
people sending crap
Since this place is full of out of control spam, I
opened up a new group:
http://tv.groups.yahoo.com/group/tvontariokids/
Feel free to join. I'll work on moving the links and
such over when I get some office downtime.
