When did CBS drop the idea of a TBAA television movie? I
remember that when the show got cancelled there were rumors
that there would be a Christmas movie next year, but in the end
nothing happened.

Even if CBS doesn't want to produce a tv movie they could air a
reunion special like they did with "Dallas" and "Knots Landing".

I would love to see any of it! The only time it is on here in Central
Florida is noon on the Hallmark Channel. I have to work so I don't get to see it
any more.

I first was introduced to Touched by an Angel through
fanfiction.net. I read stories about it and they were written very
well. They were written so well in fact, that I found myself wanting
to see the show they were based on. My favorite angels at that time
were Gloria and Monica. The funny thing was, while I was reading the
stories, I heard Monica with an Irish accent and Gloria played by
Valerie Bertinelli, even though I had no idea who Valerie was at the
time. I also got Tess's voice right to be Della Reese. I guess it's
a gift of being visually impaired. I never forget a voice. And if
the fanfiction is written well enough, I can hear it and see it in my
mind like an episode.

But the funny thing was, when I first saw Gloria in an actual episode
of Touched by an Angel courtesy of my sister, Heather, I didn't'
connect the Gloria from the TBAA stories I had read to the one on the
screen. Even though her voice was the one I had associated her
with. It didn't help that she was new and I was used to Monica and
Tess. Therefore, I didn't like Gloria at first at all! But as I
continued to watch episodes with Gloria in them, she grew on me over
the next few weeks and now I LOVE her! We have a lot in common.

My sister, Heather, who I love to pieces introduced me to Touched by
an Angel two months ago and it has helped me both emotionally and
spiritually. Heather is also the person who brought me to know the
Lord on May 18, 2006, around 2:00 AM. I've always believed in God
and prayed before, but after that night, my life was a lot more
peaceful.

I came from a broken and abused home life. My biological mother
never wanted me and would show it by not cooking for me and sometimes
she would hit me. But her verbal abuse was what hurt the most.
Despite my difficult childhood, I've always believed in God and I've
seen Him work in my life for the better. But after watching TBAA, I
learned that God really did love me. He showed me that through a
very special angel named Monica. Tess also helped me a lot. Her
words of wisdom encouraged me and her spunk made me laugh. But it
was Monica's gentle and kind ways, mixed with her gentle Irish lilt
and her truthful words that really helped me heal.

My favorite angels are Gloria, Monica and Tess. Gloria, because she
and I have a lot in common. We are both very innocent and children at
heart and we have very good memories. We also tend to take things
very literally and we both want nothing more than to please the
Father. As for Monica, we both love taking care of the wee ones and
we have big hearts. And like Tess, I can get through to people
without being vulgar about it.

My bio mother cursed a lot and most of the time, it was at me. It
was by the grace of God that I was able to not pick up one single
vulgar word from her.

I've always believed in the power of prayer and I've seen it change
my life for the better.

One of my favorite episodes of TBAA is called Venice. I LOVE it
because it really touched me.
The reason is, there may come a day when I wake up and will
be completely blind. I'm afraid of that day, but at the same time, I
can't wait for it to come. I think of my visual impairment as a
blessing from God. I turn my disability into an ability by teaching
people about it. I want to inspire as many people as I can. I may
not be able to see with my eyes, but I see where most other people
cannot. I see with my heart and it's the best source of sight God
could have given me. I thank my Heavenly Father for that gift every
day.
As far as my disability or blessing goes, TBAA has portrayed
it very well. I love the way they created Annie's character and how
she expressed going blind. It was Monica's revelation that touched
me the most. Monica tells Annie that God didn't' want her to see
with her eyes, He wanted Annie to see with her heart. When Monica
started to say that, I started crying and I said it along with her.
That part really touched me. I wrote a letter to Roma, thanking her
for what she did for me as Monica.

Touched by an Angel has changed my life for the better and there
should be more shows like it on the air. I praise and thank God for
inspiring the producers of the show to create such a wonderful,
spiritual and loving show that inspire millions to not give up hope
and seek the Father's love and comfort. I also thank God for the
wonderful cast members who brought the angels we have all come to
know and love to life. Roma, Valerie and Della have done a fantastic
job. The same goes for John, Alexis and Charles as well.

What other show can you turn on and hear God loves you? None as far
as I know. And a lot of people need to hear it. Whether they are
hearing it for the first time, like I did thanks to TBAA, or having
it reaffirmed for them, it doesn't matter. It still helps them. And
yes, I knew God loved me, but nobody had ever told me before. And to
hear Monica's gentle and compassionate voice say it, brought me to
tears the first time I heard her speak those three words of comfort
and truth. And you know what, I never forgot it. And it puts a song
in my heart and a smile on my face every time I hear either Monica or
Gloria say God loves you in an episode. Tess as well.

My favorite episodes are: Kassy's Choice, The Pact, Venice, Tough
Love, The Last Chapter, Life Before Death, Voice of an Angel, "Holy
of Holies", Dear God", "Operation Smile, Great Expectations, Two
Sides to Every Angel, Song for My Father, Netherlands and An Angel by
Any Other Name.

I just want to thank you again for what you've done for me. I also
wrote letters to Roma and Della, thanking them as well. I would like
to write to Valerie, but I don't have an e-mail address for her.
I hope to hear from you soon
Remember, God loves you
Lauren

P.S

I want to share some words of wisdom with you that I share with
everyone I meet.

"See for today and see for the moment. See every day as though your
eye sight will be taken away from you tomorrow. Your heart is the
eye of your soul. When you look at something, truly see it, and
don't just look at it to say that you've seen it. That's not seeing
it. Truly look at it, not just with your eyes, but with your heart
as well. Most importantly, remember that what you see with your eyes
may not be what's truly there. Only after you've seen with your
heart, can you truly say you've seen a person for who they really are
inside. And the same thing goes for the world."

if I can find some of the DVD sets! *smile*

Hi! I'm Daisy, new member, glad to be here! I see that Hallmark Channel
has stopped showing TBAA again. *sigh* Even though I was thrilled to be
able to see the show's final 2 episodes - how great were those?! - I
now have nothing to watch on TV in the morning!! Are we going to be
doing an email campaign to Hallmark, requesting the return of TBAA, or
signing a petition or anything? I'd really like to see my favorite show
back on the air again!

Hey there everyone! Lauren here. I hope everyone is doing well. I
was just wondering if anyone saw The Root of All Evil? If so, I have a
few questions about it.

1. When Monica left, how did Gloria react? Meaning was Gloria able to
say good bye to her or what not?

2. What happened between Gloria and Tess? Why did Tess scold Gloria?

3. Which one of the brothers was the actual cop?

I saw this episode today, but because of my visual impairement, I
missed some things. I was also getting ready to go out, so I only
caught it by ear and therefore, I didn't get a chance to see the whole
thing.
Thanks!

The last time I got that petition about the law suit to take all religious
programming of the air in the United States, Hallmark Channel had just
dropped TBAA for the second time. My back was pushed against the wall , and
I forwarded it to Pope Benedict XVI. It think that may be why it is back on
Hallmark Channel again.

I haven't seen this episode before, but now I want to! From what I've
read, it seems like a growth one for Gloria. Gloria is my first
favorite angel, so I know I'm going to like this one. And Daveigh
Chase will probably do a good job as well. If anyone can, can you
please give me a summary of the episode? Were there any tender moments
between Gloria and the other angels? Just wondering>

Hey there! Lauren here. I hope you're doing well. I LOVE Gloria
too! She is my favorite angel next to Monica and Tess. Then comes
Rafael. I didn't like Gloria at first, probably because i was so used
to Monica and Tess, that i had to get used to her voice. Since I never
forget a voice, due to being visually impaired, I grew accustomed to
hearing Tess and Monica's voices and I grew comforted by them. It took
me a few weeks, but now Gloria is my first favorite!

Hey there! Lauren here! I LOVED this episode! Gloria is my
favorite angel and it was a really good growth experience for her. I
loved how MOnica was there for Gloria in the end. And for those of you
who are a little confused about Monica/Monique thing, it was Monica who
said, "You probably will let God down." She was telling Gloria the
truth, but also comforting her by saying that God will forgive her. I
think that was sweet. I also liked the battle for Gloria to figure out
who the real Monica was. It was very intense and emotional. I was
almost crying along with Gloria. I had a question about the episode
though. In the part when Monica is telling Gloria why Tess won't let
her drive the car, and Gloria thinks Monica has called her immature,
why does Monica telll Gloria she will be back a second time? Does
Gloria look scared or something? I'm just wondering. The reason is,
the second time Monica tells Gloria she'll be back, she sounds soothing
and reassuring. Thanks!

Hi there! My name is Lauren. I hope everyone is doing well. I just
joined today and I hope to make a lot of TBAA frends here. My
favorite angels are Gloria, Monica and Tess. Then comes Rafael.
Although I like Andrew a lot, Rafael is my main favorite male angel.
He's great!

My favorite episodes are: Netherlands, The Pact, Venice, Operation
Smile, Tough Love, The Last Chapter, Hello I Love You, Full Moon, An
Angel By Any Other Name, Great Expectations, The Word, Two Sides to
Every Angel, Kassy's Choice, Ship in a Bottle, The Blue Angel, A
Feather on the Breath of God, Children of the Night, The Trigger,
Sand Castles, Life Before Death, A Voice of An Angel, Such a Time as
This, Black Like Monica and Charades.

I've written some TBAA stories over on fanfiction.net. My penname
there is Little-GloriasFaith24. I hope everyone who likes to read it
will go over and check it out.

My sister, Heather, who I love to pieces, introduced me to TBAA and
it has touched my life in so many ways. It's helped me both
emotionally and spiritually as well.

I have a little of each female angel in me. I'm young and a child at
heart like Gloria. Like Monica, I LOVE taking care of children and I
have a big heart. And like Tess, I can tell it like it is without
using foul language. I'm not one to use volgarity.

I'm visually impaired, but I look at it as a blessing. I can only
see out of my left eye, but I see with my heart and it's the best
source of sight God could have given me. I may not be able to see
with my eyes too well, but when it comes to seeing with my heart, my
sight has never been better. I turn my disability into an ability by
teaching people about it. I do this, so that they might learn how to
treat other visually impaired people with the kindness and respect
they deserve.
Remember, God loves you!
Lauren

P.S

If anyone has MSN Messenger and would like to chat about TBAA with
me, feel free to add me to your contact list. MY MSN SN is:

symbols. If that doesn't work, you can find my MSN SN at my profile

TBAAngel List Rules and Posting Guidelines

I expect everyone here to be polite and tolerant with one another and to show
consideration for the list as a whole. You're not going to agree with everyone
here; take that as a given and enjoy your differences, rather than seeing them
as a threat.

Don't use these rules as a filter through which you view others' behavior, they
are here to help you know how YOU should behave. But do read them all; it took
me a lot longer to write them than it'll take you to read them, and I won't have
much sympathy if you tell me you broke one because you didn't read it.

________oO0Oo________

What can get you banned, moderated, or your hand slapped with a wet noodle:

FLAMING: Please remember that everyone has a right to their beliefs and
opinions here and I expect you to treat all of those beliefs and opinions with
respect, even if you happen to believe they are wrong. No matter how wrong you
think someone is, try to watch how you phrase things. There is usually a
gentler way to disagree with them if you think about it. If a post is obviously
intended to harm, upset or embarrass someone, I will consider it a blatant flame
and take action. If you are only teasing someone, you need to make sure that's
clear, in your post, to everyone on the list, or it may *look* like a flame.
Also, avoid teasing someone about things they seem sensitive about, especially
if you don't know them well.

If you feel someone has flamed you, feel free to let me know and I will do my
best to help you both work it out if I can.

PORNOGRAPHY: This refers to graphic stuff that is clearly not appropriate for
our younger listmembers and would be objectionable to most of the rest of us,
here. Sometimes the list conversation will get suggestive; nothing wrong with
that.

SPAMMING THE LIST: Deliberately posting a lot of material, especially off topic
material, just to be annoying or because you refuse to accept that you can't
post it here. See "MOST FORWARDED MAIL" for more about spamming the list.

FORWARDING PRIVATE MAIL TO THE LIST WITHOUT PERMISSION: This is usually only a
problem if it's done maliciously - to get revenge on someone for some private
mail the poster didn't like. I take a very dim view of this sort of behavior
and will very likely ban people for it. When an honest mistake is made, I
generally recommend an apology but will not take further action myself unless
there have been other problems.

LOOKING FOR A FIGHT: Complaining on the list about someone or their posts, or
arguing with list policy on the list, are strictly prohibited. If you have a
problem you want to bring to me privately, fine - I will try to help you with it
as much as I can. Anyone trying to get more attention for their problems by
posting them to the list *will* get more attention - long enough for me to ban
them. I will also ban people if they inform me that they intend to ignore the
rules whenver it suits them to. I figure if they won't make any effort, why
should I?

It's also important to remember that we're all on the same side here. I've got
no problem with joking about "us vs. them" (i.e. - Gloria's Geeks vs. Monica's
Mocha Latte Freaks) but don't take it seriously or it is YOU looking for the
fight. Not the person who posted such a silly concept. Not everyone will share
your tastes, but that doesn't make them the enemy.

MOST FORWARDED MAIL: This is frequently a problem, as many common forwards are
nothing more than spam to most of us, so I have a simple way of deciding if you
should forward something to the list - is it about the show or the people who
work on it? If not, don't forward it here. Also, don't forward anything
regarding Madalyn Murray O'Hare by any spelling of her name, even though it
probably will mention the show. Many listmembers are very well meaning and want
to help people, but most of what gets forwarded around the 'net are hoaxes, and
even the jokes, poems and prayers get old after the first twenty copies you get.
If you think some warning might be real, send it to me at TBAAngel-owner @
yahoogroups. com - I recognize a lot of 'em on sight and can give you a fairly
quick answer on many of them.

SOLICITING: Don't try to sell anything on TBAAngel unless I've given you
permission to post about it. This includes TBAA related merchandise, and I
would appreciate it if you'd clear charity related posts with me first as well.
Lately, the most common problem we have with soliciting is people advertising
other lists here. If you've got a list with a related topic, ask me first.
Otherwise don't send list invitations here. A brief note about your list in
your .sig on an on-topic note would be all right, of course.

OFF TOPIC POSTS: People get confused about the topic of the list a lot. The
topic is the television show "Touched By an Angel." It is not religion or
angels or your personal life, although you may discuss any of these things IN
RELATION TO THE TV SHOW. It's a discussion list with a specific topic, so this
is only common courtesy! Anything about the show, its characters (as portrayed
on the show, and this does include God) and/or the people who work on the show
is considered on topic. Articles referencing the show are on topic. Poetry and
works of fiction involving TBAA may be posted here ONLY if they're short - less
than 200 lines or so - but you might want to check out the TBAA fanfic list
anyhow; that's at yahoogroups.com and it's for all sorts and lengths of fiction
so it is the more appropriate forum. I encourage list members to post a short
intro when they first join; these are considered on topic.

Prayer requests are NOT on topic. I will allow a brief prayer request to be
added to the end of an on topic note, but there are several forums for prayer
that are more appropriate and this forum is for discussion so I won't feel
guilty for not allowing you to post them here. Keeping your posts appropriate
and on topic is one part of that 'consideration for the list as a whole' I was
talking about up at the top.

INAPPROPRIATE LANGUAGE: Keep your language clean, please, and avoid vulgar or
obscene language. We do have some younger subscribers so we need to be mindful
of how we are saying what we say when we post. That being said, not everyone
sees the same words as vulgar or obscene, so try not to get too upset at another
list member for language.

________oO0Oo________

Other posting guidelines

Try to keep .sig files to no more than six lines, including all addresses and
quotes. These can really eat up space in people's mailboxes and make the
digests difficult to read, otherwise.

SPOILERS: If you get advance information about a reunion movie or some new
project a TBAA cast or crewmember is working on, put "SPOILERS" somewhere in the
subject line if you post any details about the plot, and consider leaving some
space at the top of your post so people are less likely to accidentally glimpse
something they don't want to know. Info on who's in a show/movie, where it's
filming, the basic premise and when it will air aren't spoilers.

Try to avoid "me too" posts - we want to hear what YOU are thinking, not just
that you agree with someone else.

Don't quote more than four lines of a note you're replying to per point, unless
you absolutely have to. It gets hard to find what YOU said when there's more of
what THEY said, and we already read that bit.

You can combine replies into one note, even with more than one topic, rather
than sending six short notes in a row to the list. It's often easier on
mailboxes and eyes if you do this.

Don't send attached files through the list; the list is set to remove them from
messages. If you have a picture or file to share, that can be uploaded to our
list space at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TBAAngel - follow the shared files
link.

Some listmembers will not be able to read formatted text. Your best bet is to
set your mail software to send plain text rather than 'styles', 'rich text
format (rtf)' or 'html'; most software will be able to do that nowadays. Also
try to keep each post under 250 lines, again because some mail systems can't
handle longer posts .

I haven't been watching it. Thought about it but haven't managed to catch an
ep. I am, however, curious as to what the parallels might be between the two
shows.

Take care,

Hi Kevin (and everyone else),

Yes, people are still on this list. Things are just really quiet since the
show is no longer on.

I've never seen Ghost Whisperer.

I hope everyone has a happy & healthy New Year!

God bless,
Joanna

If you have questions about any rules, feel free to contact me with them at
TBAAngel-owner @ yahoogroups. com.

Take care,

Jennie
