Re: [SurvivorVanuatu] Survivor Article in EW

Thanks Rhonda!  I din't see the article, but it sounds real interesting.  I always enjoy hearing Jeff's thoughts on things.  And a lot of what he had said was so true.  It made me glad that he had felt the same way that a lot of us had.  And I also do wonder what happened with Johnny Rotten at the Vanuatu after party...I wish that we could find out.  He was a character that I disliked so much...as many others have, too.

If you want to read it for yourself and don't want me to spoil it, I wouldn't continue reading this...

Basically Jeff is giving us the order of his favorite seasons of Survivor and some comments on them

#1 - Borneo - of course, who wouldn't pick that one
#2 - Australia - He really feels like Kel DID have the beef jerky based on what he heard and saw and he said people try to smuggle things all the time.
There have even been people trying to smuggle things up their a**.  He won't say who because they caught them and it didn't make the show, but
I believe I remember some rumor somewhere that Hatch had matches up his a** for All Stars
#3 - Pearl Islands - Says that any season with Rupert and John is bound to bring ratings, but he is absolutely done with Johnny because of his actions
at the after party of Vanuatu and he's banned from any event Jeff is at...hmmm, wonder about that...maybe he said or did something offensive
about Julie?  He also stated he hated the Outcasts concept because it goes against everything Survivor ever was.  But the best line from this was this
'In addition, it cost us a great player in Andrew Savage and in return gave us Lil, the most undeserving final two member ever.'  AMEN!!!!!
#4 - All Stars - He actually thought about quitting at times during this season with it being so personal.  He had no idea what to say when Sue went off on
him, and then he talks of the Boston Rob/Lex situation saying Lex is a strategist as much as anybody and he's a good player, but this time Lex was the
        one who was played.
#5 - Amazon - No one ever imagined Jenna and Matt at the end and the only reason Jenna won was because the jury thought Matt was crazy
#6 - Vanuatu - Actually admits that there were no big events or big flashy characters so it wasn't regarded as highly.  Mentions that Scout recently told
him that she was omnisexual...what the hell is that???  It frustrated him about the set of double standards for Chris and Twila because Chris lied
just as much and with more brutality than Twila, but Twila was the one taken down because she swore on her son's life.  Mentions Chris might even
        STILL be lying...lol
#7 - Africa - He stated it should have been one of the best because of the locale, but turned into be a not so fun season ending with boring characters
        as the final two.
#8 - Marquesas - Says is the worst location ever with all the No-No's.  Says the season never got any momentum and by the time it was the final two between
Neleh and Vecepia he was sleeping.  They actually messed up on the colored rocks too that knocked out Pappy.  And I quote - 'The way it's supposed to
work is that once the tie is revealed, the people for whom votes have been cast and the person with immunity all become safe; the others have to pull
rocks.  We didn't realize that the process works for all numbers except for four.  (With four people left, only one person is eligible to pull a rock
since one has immunity and two have received votes.)'  He said no rules were violated and it's just not what they meant to happen.  And that's the truth.
#9 - Thailand - Says the final four of Brian, Clay, Helen and Jan was the least likable final four which is the reason Thailand is number 9 for him.  Says
there was so much negativity with the ted/Ghandia and the Robb/Clay events.  Said there was a lot of hostility and ugliness which made it hard to
watch.  Thinks it's odd that they asked him to host the reunion special for the first time for the show he liked least, but he thinks it's because they
couldn't find anyone else to do it so they thought he could try it.

I liked this article.  It was nice and refreshing to hear Jeff's comments that he can't make on the show about certain things.  Hope you all enjoyed the brief edited edition.  If you want me to type out the whole article, it will take me awhile but let me know.

Rhonda
