Actually, it's not and as far as I know, has never done that in any season.
It goes to the final four on Thursday and then 3 days later, on Sunday, it
starts with the final four and whittles down to the final two (in the
two-hour episode) and then the winner is revealed in the very beginning of
the final hour, the reunion.

It's always been like that. The final four goes to the
final 2 on thursday with the finale on sunday.
Sunday's show is 3 hrs long- that includes the 1 hr
