Lene with the Stargate Database, has gone through several of the
Stargate Atlantis transcripts and corrected a few typos, standardized
the formatting, added credits, etc.
So far, the first five transcripts are done and have been uploaded
into the files section. I've put them in a separate folder, so both
versions of the transcripts are now available. I will continue to post
them as she sends them.
Thanks to Lene.

I know the fact I have never actually posted here probably means I
don't have the right to mention this, but I noticed in the Rising
transcript that you guys weren't sure about all the helicopter names,
the two you are missing are Apache and Osprey. But other than that
thanks for posting the transcripts :) they are very useful.

Meaning for example.. like the episode in Heroes 2, where Dr. Frasier
got creamed by a staff weapon.

Well, in the twisted version.. she got hit by a staff blast -- Only to
unfortunately lapse into a long deep comma instead.

The only comfort was she was still recognized by Sg-Command for her
outstanding contributions -- while the last glimpses of her were her
unconscious body lying in the hospital bed, beside sat Cassandra, her
daughter and that fat filmmaker.

Uhm...
I'm not the list mom, I'm just a moderator, but if it were up to me,
I'd say no. This group was created to post and archive transcripts of
actual episodes that air. The twisted script seems to fall more in the
category of fan fiction and we are not a fan fiction archive. There
are a lot of groups and sites that post and archive fan fiction.
Just my .02.

I'm not even a moderator :-), but I agree it's a bad idea to post what is
essentially AU fanfic on a transcripts site. Though *most* of the members
here are likely to be able to differentiate between actual transcripts and
your "twisted scripts", some may not be able to.

There are/have been print zines that welcome "fix-it" stories - Deb Walsh's
"I'm Just Sayin'" #2 was billed as such, and as Sarae says, always lots of
fanfic archives out there...

To transcribe is to make a copy of, therefore, transcripts are the
written-down dialog and actions from a film or TV show (or radio program,
for that matter). They are very useful for fan writers and other students
of the canon of the show (or movie, or radio program:-).

Transcripts are a written record of dictated or recorded speech (in this
case, Stargate: SG-1 episodes).

Thanks ktanimara for the tip. Fabulous, sounds wonderful. I just checked
the site out.

For others, so you can easily go to the pertinent pages, here are some URLs:

Guests appearing (Corin Nemec):

Admission and prices: http://www.tcon.icomm.ca/tt19/index.php?pg=reg
Registration form: http://www.tcon.icomm.ca/tt19/reg_ascii.html
Hotel: http://www.tcon.icomm.ca/tt19/index.php?pg=hotel

For an adult, I see it's a very reasonable Cdn$55.00 for the weekend, it
looks like. Far out!

Thanks for the heads-up. Toronto is a lot closer to Ottawa than Vancouver
is! <lol>

Cheers!

Just found this link re a meet-and-greet to meet Corin Nemec for Friday July
. Sounds great!
http://www.tcon.icomm.ca/tt19/index.php?pg=mng

Here are some blurbs from that page:

"There will be a maximum of 150 tickets sold for this event at a cost of $60
CDN or $52 USD per ticket. All attendees wishing to enjoy this event must
have a ticket and a membership to the convention. There will be snacks, a
cash bar, a chance to meet with your fellow fans and get one (total) free
digital photo with the guests. "

" At this point, we anticipate the Meet & Greet will be held on Friday, July
15, 2005 at 8:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. This will be confirmed in advance of
the convention. Toronto Trek strongly recommends that people wanting to
attend the Meet & Greet buy a weekend membership to the convention, as we
will NOT be offering refunds to any Meet & Greet ticket holders who cannot
attend the event. Our "no refunds" policy is consistent with our overall
convention policy, and food will be ordered for the event based on the
number of tickets sold."

Awesome!

I've spoken to Tara, whose computer packed up again just as she was
about to post "Sanctuary"! Dell are collecting it on Tuesday and
hopefully they'll fix it properly this time. If the transcript is
still safe, she'll post it then. If it's gone forever, one of us will
have a go at doing the transcript but I didn't see the point of getting
started on it if her version is still OK.

Hey all,

I've asked a few of you for permission to post transcripts on my site
and have been pleasantly surprised by the responses. However, I
couldn't always identify who did the transcripts or their email
addys. So, just to cover the bases, I'm posting to the group. Please
check out my transcript pages and let me know if anything looks wrong
or you'd rather I didn't post your transcript or email addy.

Each transcript is credited to the transcriber whenever I could figure
out who that was ;) and the SG1-Transcripts banner is prominently
displayed.

FORD: The Stargate is the other way sir. On the other side of the
planet.
SHEPPARD: Yeah now we're taking the scenic route. McKay?!
MCKAY: I'm almost there *Fiddling, shots fired*
FORD: There's one on our tail!
SHEPPARD: Thank you. I know all about that one. Keep your eye on the
other one.
MCKAY: Okay. You should have weapons now.
SHEPPARD: Negative.
MCKAY: You sure?
SHEPPARD: Positive.
MCKAY: I'm pretty sure I fixed it.
SHEPPARD: Well obviously you didn't! *another shot hits them*
TEYLA: Perhaps we could lose them in the atmosphere of the planet.
FORD: Two more darts on our two o'clock.
SHEPPARD: I see them. McKay?!
MCKAY: It's not like I'm holding back on you!
Shot of jumper and behind some darts. And behind them this huge
amount of like Electricity which seems to be coming from the
planet's
surface. This electricity destroys a dart. Then hits the jumper.
SHEPPARD: Hang on!! *bright light hits, it disappears*
TEYLA: The Wraith darts have been destroyed.
SHEPPARD: Ah that's a good thing.
MCKAY: *Coming back.* I thought for sure we were dead. Anyone think
we were dead?
FORD: What the hell was that?
MCKAY: Some sort of energy weapon.
SHEPPARD: Well what do you say we find out?

CREDITS!
SCENE: Still in orbit of the planet
MCKAY: So just to confirm we're all still definitely not dead.
TEYLA: I feel very much alive.
MCKAY: Good. Same here.
SHEPPARD: Wish I knew what that was.
FORD: Looked like lightning.
SHEPPARD: Space lightning?
MCKAY: I already said it's some sort of energy weapon. One that
apparently destroys Wraith darts.
FORD: Nice but…why them and not us?
MCKAY: Well assuming that we're still alive…and there
doesn't seem to
be any damage as a result of the pulse, I think we can safely
conclude that ah…um…um…I got nothing. *ford turns away* I
got nothing
to conclude. I'm just…talking for the sake of talking.
SHEPPARD: You're sure you're ok?
MCKAY: You know how much I hate certain death?
SHEPPARD: You're alive.
TEYLA: Could something like that be…naturally occurring?
SHEPPARD: My money's on not naturally occurring.
FORD: Like a weapon the Ancients left behind?
SHEPPARD: Yeah and any weapon that powerful would have to be powered
by…
MCKAY: A zero point module.
SHEPPARD: That's right.
MCKAY: Right well we need to get down there.
SHEPPARD: I got to put down, check for damages anyway…before we
head
back to Atlantis.

Shot of Jumper moving in for a landing. Then through Ford's
binoculars at a civilization.
FORD: If there's a weapon down here sir, these folks didn't
build it.
SHEPPARD: Not these kids… Picking up anything?
MCKAY: I'm picking up everything. Just nothing worth mentioning.
SHEPPARD: These folks look familiar to you Teyla?
TEYLA: The Stargate is in orbit Major…my people could never have
ventured here.
SHEPPARD: Right. What say we venture? *They head off*

Shots of the people. They all have tattoos. One man is wearing a red
robe. He sees them and runs off to a house…all the people stop,
looking at them.
SHEPPARD: Hi. It's ok…we're friendly. Hi.
TEYLA: It is likely they have never seen anyone from outside their
village.
ZARAH: *another man dressed in red* Welcome *waves* I am Zarah. One
of the abbots of Proculus.
SHEPPARD: John. John Sheppard. This is Teyla, Lieutenant Ford and
Doctor McKay.
ZARAH: Please come *He leads off, they follow. The villagers
following too. Zarah and John and his team all sit at a table* This
is the first time - at least in my own lifetime - that people from
another land have come to us.
SHEPPARD: Oh we came by ship *Zarah raises eyebrow* Flying thing.
Allows us to move from one world to another.
ZARAH: Another world?
TEYLA: From among the stars you see in the night sky. We are peaceful
explorers.
ZARAH: Well then glory to Athar for bringing you here safely.
FORD: Athar?
ZARAH: The provider and protector of all. Surely you know.
TEYLA: Athar is known by many names among the stars.
MCKAY: Is…Athar around? We'd love to talk to him.
We're…friends.
ZARAH: Athar is friend to all. And with us always. *puts his hands
together* Even now.
MCKAY: Of course. *puts hands up* Hi Athar.
TEYLA: What Doctor McKay means is that we wish to offer our thanks.
We were attacked by the Wraith and would have been killed had it not
been for Athar's intervention.
ZARAH: Wraith?
SHEPPARD: Pale skin, sunken eyes, suck the life out of you with their
hands.
ZARAH: We have never encountered such beings.
FORD: Never?
TEYLA: And there is no mention of them in your history?
ZARAH: None. I can assure you that for many thousands of years we
have lived here in peace.
SHEPPARD: Could you excuse us for a moment?
ZARAH: Of course please…*tells them to stay* I must tell the
other
abbots of your arrival before we go to meet with Chaya.
SHEPPARD: Chaya is?
ZARAH: The high priestess of Athar. *kisses his hands* This is a
great day for our people *leaves*
SHEPPARD: Ours too. *After Zarah has left* I'm not kidding, this
could really work.
TEYLA: I agree Major. Every inhabited world I have encountered in
this galaxy has been ravaged by the Wraith.
MCKAY: Well this planet is protected by an Ancient weapon. This
confirms it.
FORD: Does it?
MCKAY: Well there's no other explanation. I mean the power
requirements of something like that must be…astronomical. Only a
zedPM could generate that.
TEYLA: And yet they do not appear to be technologically advanced…
FORD: Unless that guy was lying. But he doesn't seem like the
lying
type.
SHEPPARD: Yeah so…automated defenses?
TEYLA: Imagine a world where displaced refugees from dozens of
planets could come and live in peace without fear of being culled by
the Wraith.
FORD: Maybe we could negotiate some kind of treaty…
MCKAY: We just get access to that weapon. Better still that ZedPM.
Not that we'd steal it or anything.
SHEPPARD: Let's just try and stay on our best behavior.
MCKAY: I'm always on my best behavior.

SCENE: Shot of the team walking with a group of monks, along a field.
MCKAY: How much farther?
ZARAH: Not very.
MCKAY: Oh good…*slows to fall into step with Ford* See we could
of
taken the jumper.
FORD: The exercise is good for you…come on.
SHEPPARD: Chaya sure does live pretty far from your people.
TEYLA: It is not uncommon Major for clerics to live apart from their
community.

SCENE: Shot of a beautiful woman tending to her plants in a type of
Garden, the monks enter with the team following behind.
ZARAH: Glory to Athar *bows*
CHAYA: Welcome. You may rest.
ZARAH: Thank you sister. *they move off, Sheppard stares in awe*
CHAYA: You're new to Proculus.
SHEPPARD: Yes. We're…uh…we're brand new in fact.
*puts out hand*
Major John Sheppard.
CHAYA: *she takes it* I am called Chaya Sar *turns to the others* and
you are…Teyla, Lieutenant Ford and Doctor McKay.
FORD: How did she know that?
MCKAY: Oh please… One of the abbots ran ahead.
SHEPPARD: It's a pleasure to meet you Chaya <*thunk* we're
losing him>
CHAYA: You must be tired after your long journey. Shall I prepare
some tea for us?
SHEPPARD: I was hoping you were gonna say just that. *she smiles*

SCENE: Chaya's Garden
CHAYA: And where do they come from these…Wraith?
SHEPPARD: They seem to be everywhere in this galaxy. And they appear
to have been on top of the food chain for a very long time. *drinks*
CHAYA: It's terrifying. Truly terrifying. My heart goes out to
your
people Teyla.
TEYLA: It is not only my people who suffer Chaya. The Wraith have
awakened from a long sleep…and this entire world is safe from the
culling that has already begun. Even Atlantis with all its wonder may
not survive the onslaught. It is our hope…that Athar could
grant…
sanctuary here on Proculus.
CHAYA: Sanctuary…for so many?
SHEPPARD: Well…we're not talking about everybody in the
galaxy
showing up at your doorstep.
FORD: This planet is pretty big ma'am…
TEYLA: And it is largely uninhabited.
MCKAY: More importantly it's protected by that weapon of
yours…
CHAYA: Weapon? I'm aware of no such thing on Proculus.
SHEPPARD: *glances at McKay* You sure about that?
CHAYA: Yes.
MCKAY: Oh please…
SHEPPARD: *whispers* Rodney. Best behavior.
MCKAY: This is as good as it gets, Major. Chaya, the only reason we
are alive is because of a powerful energy weapon that emanated
somewhere on the surface of this planet, it destroyed the ships that
were shooting at us. That weapon is what's keeping the Wraith
away.
CHAYA: No Doctor McKay. It was Athar who protected you.
MCKAY: Athar.
CHAYA: Yes Athar saw you were in need.
SHEPPARD: Chaya…there are a lot of people who are just
like…you and
me…who are in need because of the Wraith…What you have
here—what
Athar has provided you with here is a very rare thing. *McKay rolls
eyes* but we have a lot to offer too…That's what friends do
they
share. I think we could help each other.
CHAYA: I understand. I shall consult with her now. *she stands and so
do they* Please stay here, I don't know how long this will take.
SHEPPARD: Thank you.
*Chaya leaves.*
MCKAY: What Athar provides for you? Are you buying into this??
SHEPPARD: Rodney what religious people don't take their religion
seriously?
MCKAY: We didn't imagine that weapon Major. We saw it with our
own
eyes and we saw what it was capable of.
SHEPPARD: Yes we did.
TEYLA: Perhaps Chaya is just unaware of the weapon's existence.
FORD: Or she knows…and she wants to keep it a secret from us.
SHEPPARD: Doesn't strike me as the lying type either. *McKay
snorts,
silence*………Ok let's just see what…Athar has to say.
*Sits*
MCKAY: So…pay no attention to the man behind the curtain hmm?
SHEPPARD: Exactly. *lies down*

SCENE: Chaya and monks return.
CHAYA: Major. *Sheppard gets up* We have relayed your request to our
divine mother and though she does not doubt the righteousness of your
mission…I am afraid she cannot countenance any other people but
hers
settling here.
MCKAY: And you really had to chant all that time to come up with that.
SHEPPARD: McKay.
TEYLA: Is there any way we can ask Athar to reconsider?
CHAYA: Athar understands and sympathizes. These Wraith are a scourge
among our stars but she has to place the lives of her people first.
MCKAY: Well *stands* I think we both knew what you were going to say
long before you even went in there.
CHAYA: *Not a happy camper* We prayed for Athar's guidance.
MCKAY: And what did Athar say? You're hiding behind your religion
to
justify your complete and utter selfishness.
SHEPPARD: Rodney…
MCKAY: If Athar existed she would be ashamed of herself.
ZARAH: We ask only to be left alone. And in peace.
MCKAY: So… untold thousands possibly…millions of people will
die out
there when they could have been saved. All in the name of Athar. How
very very peaceful of you.
CHAYA: You should be grateful to Athar. *looking off not at him,
obviously pissed:P*
MCKAY: This is a waste of time.
CHAYA: *turns to Sheppard* Athar regrets that she cannot help you.
MCKAY: And I'm sure those were her exact words.
SHEPPARD: That's enough! Head back to the jumper. I'll be
there in a
minute.
MCKAY: Why?
SHEPPARD: Because you're not helping.
FORD: Yes sir. *gives McKay a look, the three head off*
SHEPPARD: I apologize.
CHAYA: He acts only in accordance to his beliefs as do we.
SHEPPARD: But Rodney is right about one thing. This really is about
lives…human lives. Sooner or later the Wraith are gonna show up
in
Atlantis and when they do…
CHAYA: You're a warrior.
SHEPPARD: Well…I don't know about warrior.
CHAYA: It is your vocation Major. You will fight.
SHEPPARD: I'll try. But knowing what we're up against and the
odds……
look. I'd appreciate it if you would ask Athar to
consider…that we
are her people…even though…we come from very far away
we're the same…
we're human…which means we're not strangers…we're
family…*a strong
breeze blows* Woah…
CHAYA: Evening breeze.
SHEPPARD: I was kinda hoping it was a sign from Athar.
CHAYA: Your words are most compelling Major Sheppard.
SHEPPARD: Thank you. I was going for compelling.
CHAYA: Do you truly believe we are family?
SHEPPARD: We are. I can prove it to you.
CHAYA: How?
SHEPPARD: Come back to Atlantis…*Zarah looks up* see who we
really
are…Once Athar learns more about us…
CHAYA: This is acceptable.
ZARAH: *walks over* Chaya please…you cannot leave.
CHAYA: Athar is with us always…no matter where we are Zarah.
*another
stronger breeze, she puts her hand to his chest*
ZARAH: I understand. *walks off*
CHAYA: I am ready.

SCENE: Atlantis Gateroom
WEIR: Welcome to Atlantis. *shakes Chaya's hand*
CHAYA: Thank you.
WEIR: I hope you don't mind but our doctors do require a medical
exam
of all offworld team members and our visitors but after that perhaps
you would like a full tour.
CHAYA: I would love that.
TEYLA: Major Sheppard has already promised to do so.
WEIR: Of course he has.
SHEPPARD: Of course I have.
WEIR: Please if you'll follow me to the infirmary…*walks off
Chaya
behind and then Sheppard*
MCKAY: Maybe I should tag along in case you have any questions the
Major can't answe—
SHEPPARD: *holds hand up* I think I can handle it Rodney.
MCKAY: There are a lot of systems you know absolute—
SHEPPARD: Got it covered. *walks off*
MCKAY: *looks at Teyla, who walks off* Fine.

SCENE: Infirmary, Chaya lays on a bed, as she's x-rayed Beckett
at
lap top.
BECKETT: Hold still just a minute more *machine shuts down* Well my
dear. It seems you are just as lovely on the inside as you are on the
out. If health is synonymous with beauty ... You can get up now.
CHAYA: How does this device do what you say it does?
BECKETT: It creates images of the tissues inside your body, and they
are picture perfect.
CHAYA: Did you bring these machines back from your world?
BECKETT: Some… Others are Atlantean technology that we figured
out
how to use and a few…*glances round, steps closer in a sort of
whisper* well I haven't the vaguest idea what they do. Hopefully
one
day I'll have the chance to meet one and I'll ask them myself.
CHAYA: Do you know what happened to them?
BECKETT: Well…some returned to Earth after the war with the
Wraith.
That much we know. But we also know that some of them ascended.
CHAYA: Ascended?
BECKETT: To a higher plane, where they exist only as energy. Are all
the people of your world as healthy as you?
CHAYA: Yes.
BECKETT: No disease, ailments? No-one ever breaks a leg?
CHAYA: *she shakes head* Such things are rare but my people heal
quite rapidly.
BECKETT: Really?
SHEPPARD: *walks in* Are we done?
CHAYA: Are we?
BECKETT: *nods* Healthiest patient I have ever had *she jumps off
bed* Off you go love. *patting his shoulder, Sheppard offers his arm
and off they go*

SCENE: Weir's office, heading to control room
WEIR: Where are we at?
MCKAY: Either she knows where the weapon is and she's playing us,
or
she has no idea. In which case we are wasting our time.
WEIR: So what do you suggest?
MCKAY: Take another team back in the jumper. Scan the planet for
energy signatures. Chaya's people won't have a clue what
we're doing
from orbit unless they are a technically advanced race which they
pretend not to be. Which has happened before…*they stop*
WEIR: Did you find anything abnormal? I mean something that would
suggest they are more advanced than they claim to be?
MCKAY: No. They're either pathetically pre-technological or …
brilliantly post technological.
WEIR: And there's no way this can be a natural phenomenon?
MCKAY: Well a perfectly timed, directed energy burst that only
affected the Wraith ships?
WEIR: That's a no?
MCKAY: That's a no.
BECKETT: (on radio) Doctor Weir I have those results.
WEIR: Thank you Carson we're on our way.
They both head off.

SCENE: Walking through some corridor.
CHAYA: How many of you are there?
SHEPPARD: Counting all the Athosians on the mainland…might get a
couple of hundred, which leaves a very large empty city…Right now
we're living in one section because we don't have the power
to spread
out more than that. *looks at her* What do you think so far?
CHAYA: I think it's wondrous. *Shifts* but ultimately the
decision is
up to Athar. *doesn't look at her* You're not a believer are
you?
SHEPPARD: Look Chaya *they stop* I respect that you believe. Look I
can't talk to Athar. I can only talk to you so let me ask you
this…
What if the shoe was on the other foot? What if your people were in
trouble and we could help you? Would you just take no for an answer?
CHAYA: *stares, then places a hand on his shoulder walking* It must
have been very hard to live your entire life under the shadow of the
Wraith.
SHEPPARD: *they walk through some doors* Don't misunderstand
me…Teyla
and her people have known the Wraith forever…but when I say
we're new
I mean…we just got here…from another galaxy…a planet
called Earth.
CHAYA: Earth? *looks almost as if she knows it*
SHEPPARD: Very far away. You know those clusters of stars you see in
the night sky? *she nods* Some of them are called galaxies and
they're even farther away from you than the stars. Earth is in
one of
those galaxies.
CHAYA: You came through the Stargate?
SHEPPARD: That's right.
CHAYA: And can you not simply return?
SHEPPARD: Well not simply. *head up some stairs* We knew going into
it that it was probably going to be a one way trip…but we thought
what we would find here would be worth the risk.
CHAYA: *enter gate room* And is it?
SHEPPARD: So far. Ask me again when the Wraith show up *walking up to
control room*

SCENE: Infirmary
BECKETT: *they all looking at Chaya's work-up* Blood work shows
no
viral, bacterial or parasitic infections. MRI reveals no tumors or
cancers. No heart defects of any kind. Blood pressure 130 over 70.
Total cholesterol 107. She's in perfect health…
WEIR: I'm happy for her……Why did we need to see this?
BECKETT: Because Doctor she's too healthy.
MCKAY: What does that mean?
BECKETT: There's no trace of any diseases or congenital
conditions
that you typically find in pre-technological societies. No rickets,
no fungi, STDs…<McKay's face lol>
WEIR: Perfect health.
BECKETT: Aye. And from what she told me… this might be the norm
among
her people.
MCKAY: *thinking* But she is human?
BECKETT: Oh without a doubt.
WEIR: So how is that possible?
BECKETT: I can't say that for certain without visiting the planet
myself, but if this data's accurate, then people on Proculus live
in
optimal health for a very very long time.
MCKAY: You make it sound like some sort of…of…of…
BECKETT: Paradise? Aye because it is.
WEIR: And that's a problem…because…?
BECKETT: Because…human life, quite simply Doctor Weir…is more
fragile…
than that. I don't care what galaxy we're in… it's
unnatural. *Weir
and McKay share a look*

SCENE: Balcony, day.
CHAYA: Oh the ocean air is so invigorating.
SHEPPARD: Plenty of that here, most of the planet's ocean. *they
look
out to the water*
CHAYA: Surely there is enough land to resettle the refugees.
SHEPPARD: Oh there is…just can't guarantee their safety.
CHAYA: Even though you control all of this?
SHEPPARD: I'd be lying if I said we controlled it all… This
place is
so far beyond us in so many ways. For example Atlantis does have a
shield that can withstand anything the Wraith can throw at us but we
have no way of powering it up…we can't risk taking in any
more
refugees than we have. *looks at her* Come with me. *they head off*
CHAYA: Major Sheppard…
SHEPPARD: I'd prefer if you called me John.
CHAYA: John…how did you make enemies of the Wraith?
SHEPPARD: That was my fault.
CHAYA: Yours?
SHEPPARD: I basically woke them up trying to rescue some people they
captured, they didn't take too kindly to that.
CHAYA: But you saved your people?
SHEPPARD: Most of them.
CHAYA: That is how you know for sure they are coming back.
SHEPPARD: Yeah we just don't know when. *enter control room,
pointing
stuff out* Main control console. Environmental support systems.
Communications. This…*walks over to something Grodin's
fiddling with*
This is…uh *mouths what is this?*
GRODIN: Sorry Major we don't have the faintest idea what *Chaya
rests
her hand on it and it lights up* what…--*looks at Chaya* This is
a
new piece of equipment we found in another section of the city. It
hadn't yet been initialized.
SHEPPARD: You think she has…
GRODIN: She has the gene.
CHAYA: *insecure smile* Did I do this? What does the machine do?
GRODIN: We don't know, not yet anyway.
SHEPPARD: Atlanteans are good at lots of things, but writing
instruction manuals wasn't one of them. We should probably wrap
this
tour up. I know Doctor Weir is anxious to talk to you *they walk off,
Grodin watching them go*
CHAYA: Will I see you after that?
SHEPPARD: *small grin* And during.

SCENE: Briefing room
WEIR: *walking round briefing table by Sheppard and Teyla* What
we're
proposing is a kind of land lease in which refugees rendered homeless
by the Wraith could resettle on Proculus. In return we can offer you
services and knowledge of benefit to your people.
CHAYA: Such as?
WEIR: Well you've seen what technology we possess here…we can
help
you down a path to a more industrialized society, but at a pace that
will maintain your planet's ecological balance.
CHAYA: Your scientific knowledge is impressive Doctor Weir but we
have no need of it. Athar provides us with everything we require.
SHEPPARD: Well food just doesn't show up on the dinner table.
TEYLA: You do plant all your own crops?
CHAYA: Of course we do. <This woman smiles too much>
WEIR: We can show you ways to increase your crop yield.
CHAYA: We grow all the food we need to live. Anything else would be
gluttony.
WEIR: *Leans forward* Building materials then…
CHAYA: We have abundant timber and iron ore to forge what little
metal we need. Athar is kind.
WEIR: *sits, pretty frustrated now* There must be something.
CHAYA: What my people value most is spiritual knowledge. What can
your culture provide in that regard?
WEIR: *looks at Teyla then Sheppard* Earth's people don't
share a
single Spiritual belief we…embrace <Sheppard looks uncomfortable>
a
number of different religions and philosophies: Christianity,
Buddhism, Judaism, Islam…
SHEPPARD: Hinduism… Kwanzaa. *Weir frowns at him, he frowns*
CHAYA: Interesting. Tell me about them.
WEIR: All of them?
CHAYA: Yes they sound fascinating.
WEIR: *Sheppard nods* Well…I am hardly competent to discuss all
of
Earth's religions…but I can offer you some resources. With
very
little training you could have complete access to our historical
database.
CHAYA: That would be wonderful. *All grinning at each other.*

SCENE: Control room.
MCKAY: *runs up to Grodin.* You got it working?
GRODIN: Yeah.
MCKAY: Well…do we know what it does?
GRODIN: It would appear to be an internal-external biometric sensor
array.
MCKAY: See now…sadly I understood that. Where did all those
Saturday
nights go? <LOL>
GRODIN: *turns screen to him* These seem to be the bio-signatures of
everyone in Atlantis.
MCKAY: How can you tell? I can't make head or tail of that mess.
GRODIN: I've been working on deciphering the Ancient logarithms
<you
know I understand some of that stuff too *bashes head on table*> I
suspect that this was designed primarily as an early warning system
to signal any alien presence in the city. The Wraith…
MCKAY:…And you're saying that it activated when our visitor
touched
it?
GRODIN: Which must mean that she has the Ancient gene.
MCKAY: Or it was initialized already and only activated because it
was detecting her. I mean she could be some kind of an alien and this
thing knows more about her than we've been able to decipher. Look
someone should be keeping an eye on her.
GRODIN: Major Sheppard is.
MCKAY: Oh…I'm sure he is. <ah sarcasm>
GRODIN: Not entirely for the reasons you think. Doctor Weir asked him
to.
MCKAY: I'm sure she did. *hurries off*

SCENE: Nice shot of Atlantis at night, Teyla and Sheppard walking
down corridor, Sheppard with picnic basket in hand.
SHEPPARD: Doctor Weir wanted me to make sure that Chaya saw
everything.
TEYLA: Everything. <LOL>
SHEPPARD: Well…not everything uh…Chaya mentioned she wanted
to see
the best view of the city at night which I think is at the top of the
south west pier and…and since it's such a long walk I thought
I'd…
bring along a few provisions.
TEYLA: Continuing our efforts to secure a treaty. <:P>
SHEPPARD: Exactly. Yeah.
TEYLA: As our ambassador.
SHEPPARD: *puts hand to chest nodding* I'm an ambassador and she
is a…
diplomat.
TEYLA: On a late night…*searches for right word* picnic?
SHEPPARD: Yes.
TEYLA: *grins* I know that as ranking military officer here in
Atlantis that you feel a heavy burden of responsibility…but you
are
allowed to have feelings for others…
SHEPPARD: *laughs* Ah no…this is a…this is an ambassadorial
diplomatic picnic outing thing.
TEYLA:…Without having to justify that to anyone. Goodnight Major.
*heads off*
SHEPPARD: Goodnight…Teyla. *heads off looking behind him*

SCENE: Heading up from gateroom to control room
WEIR: You want to send her back?
MCKAY: All I know is she's not who she's pretending to be.
WEIR: You know this because?
MCKAY: What I'm not allowed to have intuition?
WEIR: *throws him a sharp look* You? No.
MCKAY: Oh.
WEIR: I asked Major Sheppard to keep an eye on her.
MCKAY: Well *laughs* which is like asking the fox to guard the hen
house.
WEIR: *stops* What? <heheheeh>
MCKAY: Look the biometric differential is not insignificant
Elizabeth. What I'm saying is…*quietly* the woman set off an
alien
alarm.
WEIR: Come on you don't know that for certain. Now Grodin says
*McKay
sighs* you are nowhere close to understanding what the nature of that
device is.
MCKAY: There are too many unknown variables. There's the energy
weapon, the fact that they claim never to have seen the
Wraith…what
about the fact that she's essentially a text book *Weir rolls
eyes
and walks off to office* case of healthy.
WEIR: All very mysterious yes. But what does it prove?
MCKAY: That we should give her a one way ticket back home.
WEIR: *comes back out* There is obviously something
very…different
about her yes. But that doesn't necessarily make her a threat.
MCKAY: It doesn't rule it out either.
WEIR: Then for the moment I think what we can gain by securing a
treaty is worth the risk of her being here. *walks off*
MCKAY: Fine.

SCENE: South-west pier
CHAYA: *eating strawberries* Mmmm this is delicious.
SHEPPARD: Well enjoy it while you can because it's the last of
what
we have. *Lies back on elbow*
CHAYA: Then I am honored.
SHEPPARD: When McKay finds out he's gonna kill me.
CHAYA: Athar will save you.
SHEPPARD: *grins* Oh good. *she laughs*
CHAYA: Such wondrous things. I can't imagine you'd want to do
anything but eat all the time with such a variety of foods.
SHEPPARD: Well we manage to pull ourselves away somehow.
CHAYA: I've been learning much about Earth. Doctor Weir has got
me on
your information machines.
SHEPPARD: Elizabeth's got you on a computer already huh?
CHAYA: *nods* I am fascinated by your many religions. So many
beliefs, so many philosophies.
SHEPPARD: Yeah we got a few of those.
CHAYA: So many contradicting faiths.
SHEPPARD: That's a bit of a mess. *sits up* More?
CHAYA: Yes please.
SHEPPARD: *pours* We uh…traded for grapes. The
Athosians…Teyla's
people- they make this on the mainland.
CHAYA: I wasn't really truthful with you about something. *his
face
falls* On Proculus when I told you I did not feel lonely, coming here
and being with you *small smile on his face* reminded me what it was
like not to be alone.
(John looks uncomfortable. He stands up and wanders around the
balcony for a while, then turns and faces her.)
CHAYA: What?
SHEPPARD: Well, I mean ... nothing. It's just that ... this is
the
first time I've been in a romantic situation with a woman from
another planet, and it just strikes me as really, um ...
CHAYA: Wrong?
SHEPPARD: No! God, no! Just, just funny. I'm sorry – I-I
just
thought that I would, uh ...
CHAYA: You said it yourself. We're both human.
SHEPPARD: Yes, we are. And I'm really glad you didn't say
`family',
otherwise I'd have to leave.
CHAYA: You don't.
(John sits down on the floor next to Chaya.)
SHEPPARD: I'm not going anywhere.
(He takes her face in his hands and kisses her.)

CORRIDORS. John comes out of someone's quarters. As he walks
away,
Rodney, who looks as if he's been lurking around waiting for him,
greets him.
McKAY: Major.
SHEPPARD: Rodney. What are you doing up so late?
McKAY: I was just, um, I couldn't sleep, so I was going back up
to
the Control Room to do a little research. What about you?
SHEPPARD: Oh, no thanks.
McKAY: No, I mean what were you doing up so late?
SHEPPARD: I'm always up late, Rodney.
McKAY: Word of caution? The whole Captain Kirk routine is
problematic to say the least, let alone morally dubious.
SHEPPARD: What routine?
McKAY: The romancing of the alien priestess? It's very 1967 of
you.
Actually, I'm surprised ...
SHEPPARD (interrupting): If and when anything I do becomes your
business ...
McKAY: It becomes my business, Major, when an alien woman who is
clearly not who she claims to be has the ranking military officer
wrapped around her little finger!
SHEPPARD (threateningly): Don't go there, McKay.
McKAY: I'm sorry – I know I'm not normally Mr Sensitive,
but you
gotta believe me when I say there is something about her. I know
it's intangible but I can feel it.
SHEPPARD (angrily): I said don't go there!
McKAY: It's just a matter of time before I prove it, Major. (At
that
moment the door to the quarters that John just left opens and Chaya
is standing there.) I'm just recommending that in the meantime
you
keep your ...
(He stops, realising that Chaya is listening. He and John turn to
look at her. Chaya stares angrily at them for a moment, then turns
and walks back into her room. John follows her.)

MORNING. CONTROL ROOM.
WEIR: Did you sleep last night?
McKAY: No. (He walks over to a laptop.) This is the data from the
biometric sensors. I can't tell you exactly what all these
signatures mean but look at this. (He points to two readouts.)
These are ours and this, this is hers. There's a distinct
difference.
WEIR: She was born on another planet in another galaxy.
McKAY: They're different from Teyla's too.
WEIR: That doesn't mean ...
McKAY: Elizabeth, she's not what she seems to be.
WEIR: I sense nothing but a very honest and spiritual person.
McKAY: Alright, there may be a way to find out. You're opening
negotiations with her this morning, right? (Elizabeth nods.) OK,
well let me sit in. I'll pretend to be taking notes on the
laptop
when really I'll be scanning her for anomalies: radiation, EM
scans,
energy signatures. That way, if I *am* crazy, you and I are the only
ones who need to know. What's the harm?
WEIR: Alright, but be discreet.
McKAY: I'm *Mr* Discreet!

CONFERENCE ROOM. Elizabeth, John, Rodney, Teyla and Chaya are
there. Rodney has secreted sensors under the table. He activates
them and then works on his laptop as the others talk.
CHAYA: I admit to being impressed by most of what I've read of
Earth
religions: the Torah, the Koran, the Talmud, the Bible. Most of them
reveal a diverse and deep desire to grasp the divine.
WEIR: So we do have something we can offer you.
CHAYA: But I've also been reading about your history. Even now,
somewhere on your planet, you are at war.
SHEPPARD: Yeah, that's true.
WEIR: I made no attempt to hide that fact from you. Chaya, we are
definitely not perfect.
CHAYA: There's a lot about you as a people that I find disturbing.
TEYLA: Can that not be said of any people?
CHAYA: No. Every soul on Proculus is free from the hatred and the
anger people from Earth seem to feel for each other.
SHEPPARD: Come on, we're not all that bad, you know that.
CHAYA (smiling and briefly putting her hand on his): I do.
WEIR: We're not talking about the people on Earth. I'm
talking about
every member of my expedition team here in Atlantis; and I'm
talking
about the friends we've met since coming here, like Teyla's
people.
(Chaya leans forward and glances briefly at Rodney.)
CHAYA: There are some among you – yourself included, Doctor Weir
–
that I know Athar will welcome with open arms. But there are
others ... (She looks more pointedly at Rodney.)
WEIR: I handpicked every member of this expedition, and I know Teyla
feels as confident about her own people.
CHAYA: I'm sure.
WEIR: At the end of the day, this is a matter of trust.
CHAYA: Yes, it is, Doctor Weir. (She looks at Rodney again.) Have
your scans found anything yet, Doctor McKay?
(Rodney looks startled.)
McKAY: Um ... uh ... actually, no. (He closes the lid of his laptop.)
SHEPPARD: What the hell is this?
WEIR: I'm sorry, Major. There was cause for legitimate concern
as
to ...
CHAYA: ... whether I was or not who I claimed to be.
WEIR: I'm sorry, Chaya. I honestly felt it would do no harm.
McKAY (rising to his feet): Stop apologising, Elizabeth. How did she
know?
SHEPPARD (angrily): McKay!
McKAY: She's an Ancient, Major.
SHEPPARD: She's what?!
McKAY (looking at Chaya): I'm right, aren't I? The perfect
health,
the energy weapon, the fact that she has the gene. It's the only
logical explanation.
SHEPPARD: What the hell are you talking about?
McKAY (to Chaya): I just don't understand the act. I mean, you
must
know we'd give just about anything to talk to you, to learn from
you. I mean, what is it? What, are you checking us out?
CHAYA: I see that in my desire to come to Atlantis, I have revealed
too much of myself.
WEIR: He's right?
McKAY: I'm right?!
CHAYA: I *am* what you call an Ancient. And it is also true that I
can never offer your people sanctuary. But you are wrong as to why I
came here.
SHEPPARD: Why *did* you come here?
CHAYA: You, John.
SHEPPARD: Me?
CHAYA: I have lived in solitude for so long that when you asked me to
come to Atlantis, I ...
McKAY: Oh my God, he *is* Kirk!
SHEPPARD: This was never about, uh ... (He looks at the others.)
Could we just have a moment to ourselves here?
WEIR, McKAY and TEYLA (simultaneously): No!
CHAYA: That's alright. I've stayed here long enough. (She
stands
and leaves the room. John glares at the others in the room, then
stands up and follows her. Outside the Conference Room, Chaya is
tottering away, looking faint.)
SHEPPARD: C'mon, Chaya. You and your people are the reason we
came
here in the first place.
CHAYA: I can't. (She holds out a hand to him, stumbling.) I
can't.
(She starts to collapse. John catches her as she faints into his
arms.)

SPACE. PROCULUS. Wraith Darts fly through the Stargate.

ATLANTIS. Chaya recovers and stands up out of John's arms.
CHAYA: No.
SHEPPARD: What the hell was that?
CHAYA: They're coming for them. I should have never left them.
SHEPPARD: What's going on?
CHAYA: I'm sorry, John.
(Her body begins to glow and she turns into a glowing entity. Behind
her, the Gate kawhooshes. In her new form, Chaya flies through the
Gate, which promptly closes again. Elizabeth, Rodney and Teyla, who
have just come out of the Conference Room, stare in amazement.)
SHEPPARD: I'm taking a Jumper back to Proculus.
WEIR: What just happened?
SHEPPARD: There's only way to find out.
WEIR: Go.

SHORTLY AFTERWARDS. The Gate kawhooshes. Above it, the Jumper Bay
floor irises open and a Jumper hovers down into the Gateroom.
WEIR (over comms): Major, are you sure you know what you're
flying
into?
SHEPPARD (into radio): Pretty good idea. The Wraith are attacking
Chaya's people.
WEIR: You can't hope to defend them with one ship!
SHEPPARD: I don't think I'll have to.
(The Jumper flies through the Gate.)

SPACE. PROCULUS. There are many Wraith Darts flying around. John
fires a couple of energy drones which destroy two of the Darts.
Suddenly there's a glow inside the Jumper and Chaya appears,
standing
beside John.
CHAYA: What are you doing here?
SHEPPARD: I'm here to help you.
CHAYA: Help me?
SHEPPARD: To defend your people.
CHAYA: Leave. I will take care of this.
(She changes back into her glowing form, then disappears. Shortly
afterwards, the huge burst of energy radiates up from the
planet's
surface and wipes out all the Darts, leaving the Jumper untouched.
John turns the Jumper and heads to the planet's surface.)

TEMPLE. As John runs around the temple looking for her, Chaya walks
into view.
SHEPPARD: Is it Chaya, or Athar? I'm just curious.
CHAYA: When I was a mortal, I lived here. This was my home. When
those of us who you call the Ancients ascended, we were supposed to
leave behind us all human ties. Some of us found that difficult.
SHEPPARD: So you couldn't stand by and watch your people getting
wiped out by the Wraith.
CHAYA: When their terrible fleet approached, I lashed out with my
mind and with a single thought destroyed them all. The others of my
kind did not approve of such interference in corporeal matters. And
so I was exiled. My punishment was the unending protection of this
world.
SHEPPARD: Why pretend to be human at all?
CHAYA: So that time to time I may walk among the people – know
them
as the good and kind souls they are. For thousands of years, I have
come and gone to the villages, never staying too long to get attached
to anyone ... until I met you. I have never regretted the choice I
made all of these years – until now. I am permitted to safeguard
my
people, but my people only. This is my punishment. This is what
*makes* it punishment. If your people came here for my protection,
the Others would stop me. Do you understand? I can never help your
people. (She turns and starts to walk away, but John runs round to
stand in front of her again.)
SHEPPARD: I'm not sure I'm gonna let you walk away that
easily. And
I'm not just talking personally here, although that's
definitely part
of it. There is so much more we can learn from you.
CHAYA: I *can't*, John. The Others won't allow it. It's
their
highest law to never interfere. I am bound by those laws, however
much I wish to help you.
SHEPPARD: So, uh, we can never ...
CHAYA: I can never leave.
SHEPPARD: Well, I could come and visit – (he smiles) if you
don't
mind flirting with somebody from another species.
CHAYA: We're not as different as you think.
SHEPPARD: I think we're more different than *you* think.
CHAYA: I can show you.
SHEPPARD: Show me?
CHAYA: By sharing each other. We will know each other as well as
anyone ever can.
(John swallows nervously.)
SHEPPARD: OK. Gotta get the car back by midnight, though.
CHAYA: This will only take a few moments. (She steps closer to
him.) Just close your eyes.
(The lower half of her body begins to glow. The glowing light
expands upwards until it reaches her shoulders, then envelops
John's
body up to his chest. After a few seconds ...)
SHEPPARD: This ... is ... cool!

Hello, first off let me say that this is the best group on Yahoo as I
think Stargate sg1 is the best show on television. I was only
wondering when we might hope to get a spoiler transcript of the seaon
opener for season 9, and more important actually the one for season 2
on Atlantis. I realise the season does't start until July something,
but I am really anxious to find out what happens after the way they
left it.

I live in Canada, where our sci-fi station is Space: the Imagination
Station. They just aired the Spacey Awards, and SG1 was a featured show.
Also later this week they will be airing a special called Inside SG1. I've
taped the first (minus the first three minutes - from what I can tell this
was just intro material and nothing important) and plan on taping the
second. Would you all be interested if I were to transcript either of them
and submit them here? It would be my first attempt to do so, but I would do
it if you want...

I would! Mostly 'cause I live in England and the chances of it being shown
here are minimal. *curses*

I notice that the first part of the transcription of Thor's Hammer

Ah, I looked at the file and see the opening, prior to the opening
credits is summarized, rather than transcribed.
Yes, if you have that part transcribed and would be willing to share
it with all of us, I would be happy to add it to the transcript.
:)
Thank you,

Thanks, Sarae. I actually gave you the whole thing, because I'd added
stuff all the way through (mostly description and minor fixes of
spelling and transcription errors). I'm a writer and editor, so I
obsess about such things. :) Use what you wish! I found it
interesting to do--and easy, with a DVD in my computer's DVD player,
so I have everything in one place at one time.

Thor's Hammer

Season 1, Episode 8

Galyn Görg - Kendra
Vincent Hammond - Unas
James Earl Jones - Unas (voice)
Tamsin Kelsey - Gairwyn
Mark Gibbon - Thor

Writer: Katharyn Powers
Director: Brad Turner

SCENE: EXTERIOR, CHEYENNE MOUNTAIN

HAMMOND: Doctor Jackson, I understand you've come up with some new
theory about the Stargate.

Daniel Jackson is sitting at a table.

DANIEL: Uh, yes, sir.

Camera pulls back to show SGC briefing room, with SG-1 and General
Hammond seated around the table, and several SF guards lurking around
the edges. Daniel slaps his hands together and stands up.

DANIEL: Okay. Uh . . . If you study myths worldwide, it looks as if
there were two different kinds of star gods. Um, the tyrants, who
treated their subjects like cattle. Demanded absolute obedience.
Utilized their technology to punish and control.

SAM: As in the Goa'uld.

Daniel nods, and raises a hand to indicate he's not through.

DANIEL: And, the culture bearers, who used knowledge and technology to
benefit humans.

HAMMOND: So you're saying that the Goa'ulds weren't the only aliens to
visit Earth in the past. How does that affect us today?

DANIEL: We don't think the Goa'uld built the Stargate system. (Sam
looks interested, Jack raises his eyebrows like he's thinking 'now
what?') Being parasitic by nature they just used it to become a
dominant race in the galaxy. But some of the good gods, who liked
humans, might have used it too, and they could still be out there.

HAMMOND: Any indication of who they are?

DANIEL: Yes, sir. (Daniel punches a key on a computer keyboard.) The .
. . Vikings. (Pictures come up on a computer monitor.) Now in Norse
mythology the gods were powerful warriors. Legend tells us that the
god Thor was a friend to humans and protected them from the Ettins,
beings of great power and knowledge who were enemies of mankind. He
used a weapon called Thor's Hammer. Now when Thor hurled the hammer .
. . uh, it supposedly produced thunder and, and lightning. Now that
could indicate some sort of, uh, advanced type of energy weapon.

O'NEILL: Sir, I think what Daniel's trying to say is, if there is
another bunch of aliens out there who are hostile to the Goa'ulds and
have equal or superior firepower, we oughtta look 'em up.

SAM: They could become allies.

TEAL'C: I have seen the hammer sign before. (Daniel looks up,
interested.) It is the symbol of a world called Cimmeria. All Jaffa
are taught the sequence of Stargate symbols to that world.

HAMMOND: Why is that, Teal'c?

TEAL'C: To ensure that no Goa'uld goes there. It is forbidden.
Something transpired on Cimmeria that no Goa'uld will speak of.

O'NEILL: Well, I like the sound of that.

HAMMOND: So do I, colonel. All right, you have a go.

Hammond stands up, and the picture of Thor's Hammer on the monitor
changes into FRED rolling up the ramp to the Stargate.

SCENE: EMBARKATION ROOM

Teal'c, Sam and Jack are standing by the Gate ramp, geared up.
General Hammond comes through the door carrying a small box.

HAMMOND: Colonel, we'd like you to take this along with you. It's a
gift.

He hands the box to Jack. Jack turns it this way and that, looking at
the pictures in bas-relief on the lid--a man, woman, two children (all
naked, of course). In the background, behind the human figures, is the
Tau'ri symbol. Sam studies it over his shoulder.

O'NEILL: Gee, sir, I don't know what to say.

HAMMOND: For the alien friendlies in the event you succeed in your
mission and make contact.

Daniel hurries up behind Sam.

DANIEL: Oh, you had it made! That's great. (Daniel takes the box from
Jack and looks at it, grinning.) We asked the Sagan Institute to
imagine a sort of greeting from Earth if they could somehow
hypothetically get it to a distant world. It's all about who we are.
Explains various Earth cultures, religions, histories. . . .

Daniel keeps the box and heads up the ramp, behind FRED. Jack waves
goodbye to Hammond, who heads back out the door. Sam and Jack stand
looking up at the Stargate.

O'NEILL: Time to go to work.

SCENE: CIMMERIAN STARGATE

The camera pans up a stone obelisk covered with Norse runes. Toward
the top are some intertwined biting beasts, and atop the obelisk is a
golden Thor's Hammer with bas-relief serpents carved on it. The
obelisk appears to be taller than the Stargate; from its top, the
camera looks down at the Stargate, the DHD, and some people pulling
and pushing a rickety-looking wooden wagon. One of the chevrons on the
Stargate lights up, and the people with the wagon--big blond guys in
tunics--look up at it. They stand and watch it 'dial,' ducking and
shielding their eyes as the fwoosh appears. One of them runs off.
Another, wearing a conical helmet and carrying an axe, readies his
weapon. SG-1 comes through the Stargate rather precipitously, falling
and rolling down the stairs (Teal'c manages to keep his feet). The
watchers laugh. Jack stands up next to the DHD, not happy to be
laughed at. Teal'c and Sam stand and stare at the laughing, pointing
men. Teal'c looks offended. Daniel, perplexed, also stands staring.

DANIEL: This is . . . different.

JACK: Daniel, you're on.

Jack gestures toward Daniel. Daniel grimaces and takes a step forward.

CIMMERIAN MEN: Thor! (they pump their arms, looking upward) Thor,
Thor, Thor, Thor, Thor, Thor. (They continue chanting.)

As Daniel approaches the men, a humming sound is heard. Daniel and Sam
look up and see a round opening has appeared in the Thor's Hammer at
the top of the obelisk. The humming rises in pitch as the men continue
to chant Thor's name.

SAM: Sounds like it's building up some kind of charge.

The humming increases in pitch, and the men continue to chant.

O'NEILL: All right, Daniel, dial home, we're going back, now.

DANIEL: Why?

O'NEILL: Just do it. That's an order.

Daniel steps up to the DHD and a blue beam of light comes from the
Thor's Hammer and hits him in the back. Intent on the DHD, he doesn't
even notice it. Sam, next to him and punching in code on her GDO,
doesn't notice it either. Finally they notice, and Daniel turns to
look at it. It passes from Daniel to Sam, who squints as it shines
right in her face. It then moves to Jack, then to Teal'c, who winces
when it shines in his eyes. The pitch goes up in pitch considerably.
The blue light moves down Teal'c's body and he grabs at his abdomen,
where the larval Goa'uld is.

O'NEILL: Teal'c, get outta there!

Teal'c moans, the beam concentrating on his body, then he screams as
it continues to focus on him. Jack runs across the Stargate platform
and dives at Teal'c. They both disappear. The blue light vanishes.
Daniel and Sam stand staring at the Thor's Hammer. They look at each
other, then back up at the Hammer, as the Cimmerian men run away.

OPENING CREDITS

SCENE: CIMMERIAN STARGATE

Daniel and Sam are still standing by the DHD, staring up at the
obelisk.

DANIEL: I think that this is Thor's Hammer. (He backs up, still
looking at the Hammer.) I . . . uh . . . I think they're dead.

SAM: I don't want to hear that. (Daniel glances at her, like he's
thinking 'well, like it or not, that's reality.') You said that Thor
liked humans, that he used his weapon to protect them. We go back, we
bring another SG team through, and we start a search.

DANIEL: Wait.

A woman rides up on a horse, followed by the men who were at the
Stargate earlier. She stops in front of Daniel, and the men spread out
in a line behind her. She looks at Sam and Daniel, and they look
back.

GAIRWYN: You're a little short for gods. (She dismounts. She's wearing
a tunic, trews, a cloak slung over one shoulder, and has a very large
scabbarded sword strapped to her back.) But you came through the
portal unharmed, so you must be from Thrudvang, Thor's home in the
stars. Hail and welcome!

SAM: Actually, we're not, uh. . . . I'm Captain Samantha Carter, this
is Daniel Jackson. (She indicates herself and Daniel.)

GAIRWYN: My name is Gairwyn; I'm mistress here. My husband is gone a-
viking.

DANIEL: (Nods, and explains to Sam) Trading, fighting....

GAIRWYN: That was in the old days. Nowadays they go to the towns to
look for work. It's been a hard season for farmers, water from the
mountains is scarce, but you're welcome at my table. (She smiles at
them.)

DANIEL: Thank you.

SAM: Yeah, thanks, but we have a very serious problem. Two of the men
who came through the portal with us, they're gone.

GAIRWYN: Yes, I heard there were two Ettins in your company.

SAM: Ettins?

DANIEL: Goa'ulds? you think that Teal'c and Jack are Goa'ulds?

GAIRWYN: You tricked them here to be rid of them, yes?

SAM: No! No, they're friends! And if they're alive we need to find
them.

GAIRWYN: You're humans, like us!

SAM: Yes! You and I may even have some of the same ancestors. We came
here from a different world. From Earth.

DANIEL: Midgard.

GAIRWYN: Then we are your brothers and sisters! Midgard is the ancient
home. Thor brought our people here and made this [points at the
obelisk] to keep us safe.

DANIEL: Do you, do you know how this works? Are they dead?

GAIRWYN: That's a magic beyond our ken. It's said that Thor will come
back one day and teach us when we are . . . older.

SAM: Gairwyn, would Thor kill a human being in order to kill an Ettin?

GAIRWYN: Never. Our gods are great and powerful warriors, but they are
just and true to their word.

DANIEL: So they may be alive?

SAM: Is there anyone who might know where they are?

GAIRWYN: Only one. We call her Kendra. Ten seasons ago she walked
through the portal and was taken.

SAM: Taken? Where?

GAIRWYN: That winter some hunters found her wandering half frozen in
the mountains.

SAM: Maybe the beam transported them somewhere else on the planet.

DANIEL: Do you know where we can find this, this Kendra?

GAIRWYN: She lives by herself. I take her things now and then. We
can't spare the horses, but I can take you there on foot.

DANIEL: Absolutely, please.

GAIRWYN: This way.

Gairwyn waves to the others and walks off with Daniel and Sam.

SCENE: A DARK CAVE

Jack and Teal'c are lying on the ground, seemingly unconscious.

JACK: [Suddenly leaps up] Teal'c?

Teal'c opens his eyes, then jumps up and pulls open his shirt. The
Goa'uld larva pokes out of his pouch, squeaking, and Teal'c winces.
Jack grimaces.

JACK: Is Junior . . . okay?

TEALC: Yes, but the beam caused the Goa'uld I carry great pain. (He
looks down at the symbiote again.)

JACK: Er, I'm sorry to hear that. (They hear a sizzling sound, like
electricity.) Whoa!

Out of thin air, a very big man dressed in old Norse garb appears.

THOR: I am Thor, Supreme Commander of the Asgard fleet. The High
Council of Asgard has designated Cimmeria a safe world for developing
sentient species, by unanimous decree [era] 40.73.29. The Goa'uld
System Lords were so informed.

JACK: Ah, we're not Goa'ulds. He carries one around in him, but he
doesn't have much choice in the matter.

THOR: You were warned not to come here, under pain of death.

JACK: Look, I'm Colonel Jack O'Neill, from Earth. I happen to know you
spent some time there in our past....

THOR: For the crimes against the living host, and all those you have
murdered and enslaved, the sentence is death.

JACK: Look, erm, we came here to see you.

Jack sweeps his gun through Thor's image - it's a hologram.

THOR: This is your prison. Your technology will not function here.
There are no luxuries, no worshippers, no slaves to do your bidding...

JACK: Teal'c, I think we just got the answering machine.

THOR: ...only basic sustenance and time.

JACK: Yeah, thanks for the chat.

TEALC: We should hear the remainder of this message.

THOR: When you tire of this existence, go to the Hall of Mjolnir, and
face the Hammer. There is no escape. Only the host can leave this
place alive.

Thor disappears.

JACK: Goa'uld trap?

TEALC: So it would seem. If I attempt to leave this place, the Goa'uld
I carry will be destroyed.

JACK: By a hammer?

TEALC: You must leave without me. If I stay I will remain safe.

JACK: Just relax, Teal'c, I'm not going anywhere. Let's just find
this...Hall of Mohair, whatever it's called.

SCENE: MOUNTAINSIDE

Gairwyn, Sam and Daniel stand on the rocks above Kendra's house.
Kendra puts a Goa'uld hand device of some sort onto her hand and
raises it to a boy's head.

DANIEL: No!

Kendra turns to look at them.

GAIRWYN: Ssh, it's all right.

Kendra shines the beam from the hand device onto the boy's hand.

KENDRA: Moonlight flow in might and main, knit the bones and take the
pain. [She undoes the strapping on the boy's arm] Now, the next time
you want to fight, choose a boy your own size.

The boy runs away when Kendra has finished. Gairwyn, Sam and Daniel
approach.

KENDRA: Gairwyn, my friend, hail and welcome.

GAIRWYN: This is Carter, and Daniel.

DANIEL: Hail.

SAM: Hi. Hail.

GAIRWYN: They came through the portal, from Midgard, the first home.
They need your help.

SAM: What did you just do to that boy?

KENDRA: He had a broken wrist, I healed it.

DANIEL: Then why did he run away?

KENDRA: Because of this. [She shows them a scar on her back] It is the
mark of what I used to be.

SAM: When a Goa'uld takes over a human host it's permanent.

KENDRA: Not here. Thor's Hammer drove it from my body and restored me
to my true self.

DANIEL: The, it, you mean the parasite that was inside of you?

KENDRA: Is gone.

DANIEL: My god.

SAM: Thor's Hammer? The stone by the gate?

KENDRA: No, the Hammer is deep underground, inside the mountain.

GAIRWYN: As long as I have known her, Kendra has harmed no one.

DANIEL: My wife, Sha're, is now as you once were. She has been taken
by a Goa'uld, and, if what you're saying is true--

KENDRA: It is true.

DANIEL: Then help us.

SAM: Help us to find our friends.

SCENE: UNDERGROUND

Jack and Teal'c are walking along in the caves.

TEALC: You should not have attempted to rescue me from the beam. If
you had not done so you would not be here now.

JACK: Oh, you'd have done the same for me. Course, you're not going to
find me walking around with one of those Goa'uld larvae in my gut, but
hey.

They walk into a cavern that is strewn with bones. Jack picks up a
broken one.

JACK: Ouch.

Teal'c picks up the skeletal remains of a larva.

TEALC: These Goa'ulds died with their human hosts. The marks on these
bones, they are from a cutting instrument. But not metal.

JACK: What then?

TEALC: I believe they were made by large, powerful, teeth. These
bodies did not die of natural causes. They were killed, and then
eaten.

JACK: It's obvious some wild animal found its way in. There's gotta be
a way out. We find it, we're gone.

Jack walks off, and Teal'c follows him. We see something move in the
shadows.

SCENE: KENDRA'S HOME

Kendra fills Daniel's cup from a jug. They're sitting at a table
outside, eating.

KENDRA: I call it the labyrinth; it is the place where the Goa'ulds
are destroyed.

Sam sniffs the drink that Kendra passes to her.

DANIEL: How is it done? Did you feel it?

KENDRA: Yes.

DANIEL: And was it painful?

KENDRA: It was nothing compared to the suffering I watched myself
inflict on others. For all those years, so many. Your human friend
O'Neill, he can walk out unharmed, all you need to do is wait.

SAM: Teal'c is our friend too. He's Jaffa, not Goa'uld.

KENDRA: Jaffa, a friend? They are as guilty as those they serve!

SAM: This Jaffa gave up his rank, left his home, so he could join us
and fight the Goa'uld. His dream is to see his people free.

DANIEL: But if the Goa'uld larva within him is removed, he will die.
You see, once a Jaffa carries a larva, it acts as his immune system.

KENDRA: I know all I want to know of Jaffa.

DANIEL: [Trying to placate her] All right.

KENDRA: If the Hammer drives the Goa'uld from him and he dies, so be
it. It is his penance for serving the Goa'uld.

DANIEL: Teal'c was in the service of Apophis, but he saved our lives
and he helped us escape. He is one of us now.

Kendra walks away from them. It thunders.

KENDRA: [To the sky] Did I ask your counsel? [She walks back to Sam
and Daniel] The Valkyrie ride the wind, they want me to help you. They
say you speak the truth. They tell me that I must take you there.

GAIRWYN: [Grasps Kendra's arm] This is right. Go with Thor, my friend.

KENDRA: I will take you, but first I must consult the runes.

SCENE: UNDERGROUND

Jack and Teal'c are in a hall with columns.

JACK: Teal'c, take a shot at that lamp with your staff weapon.

Teal'c raises the staff and fires it, but it doesn't work. It just
clicks.

TEALC: It will not function.

JACK: Yeah, that's what he said would happen as long as we're in here.

Jack fires his gun. It works.

TEALC: This race may have considered projectile weapons too primitive
to be concerned about.

We see a monster in the shadows.

JACK: Yuh. Here.

Jack hands Teal'c a pistol and sits down.

TEALC: The message said only the host could leave this place alive.

JACK: Right.

TEALC: Perhaps this could be of some benefit to the boy who was your
friend.

JACK: Skaara, yeah I thought of that.

TEALC: And the wife of Daniel Jackson. Perhaps if they could be
brought here, the Goa'uld who took them as hosts could be purged.

JACK: Maybe.

There is a gurgling noise; Jack leaps up.

TEALC: What is it, O'Neill?

JACK: Nothing. Never mind.

SCENE: KENDRA'S HOME

Kendra is consulting the runes. A circle is marked out on the ground
with stones.

KENDRA: Mighty Thor, god of thunder and lightning, wield your Hammer
and protect me. [She gets up] [To Sam and Daniel] Now you must sit in
the circle and wait with me.

SAM: For what?

KENDRA: A sign, from Thor himself.

SAM: Great, another sign.

Sam and Daniel sit down in the circle.

DANIEL: [To Sam] She's probably afraid to go back there. Maybe if we
offer her some moral support. [To Kendra] How much do you remember of
your life before?

KENDRA: Much. I was a beautiful child.

SAM: Is that bad?

KENDRA: On Jabbanna (?), beauty is a curse.

SAM: I don't understand.

DANIEL: Because the Goa'uld want perfect hosts?

KENDRA: Yes.

DANIEL: What happened?

KENDRA: Mardock (?) discovered our secret and raided the temple where
they tried to hide me.

SAM: I'm sorry.

KENDRA: Because of my training in the temple, the Goa'uld who took
possession of my body could not take complete control over my mind. A
part of me, myself, remained.

DANIEL: Something of the host survives.

SAM: How did you end up here? Teal'c said the Goa'uld made this a
forbidden planet ages ago.

KENDRA: And so it is. But I knew my beast. I taunted her, and
whispered of rumors that Cimmeria must hold a wealth of riches for one
bold enough to take it.

DANIEL: You actually influenced the Goa'uld that had taken you over?

KENDRA: Yes, she came to Cimmeria, and I hoped only for a quick death,
escape. But we were taken into the labyrinth, a dark and terrifying
place. Until Thor's Hammer set me free. And I have honored his ways,
and his people, ever since.

Thunder.

KENDRA: It is a sign from Thor. Now, we can go.

SCENE: UNDERGROUND

Jack touches some water flowing down a wall.

JACK: Water. Give it enough time and it'll bring down walls, even
walls just like that. So in a coupla hundred years, we'll be free.

They see a shadowy figure approaching.

JACK: What the hell is that?

We see the monster.

UNAS: Jaffa. I am Unas, the First One.

TEALC: You . . . do not . . . exist.

UNAS: Kill the human...

JACK: Excuse me?

UNAS: ...and we will feast together.

TEALC: I no longer serve the Goa'uld.

UNAS: We shall see. [He approaches]

JACK: Uh, just stay put right there. [He raises his gun]

UNAS: Weapons are of no use here.

Unas knocks Teal'c out of the way and approaches Jack, who opens fire.
Unas staggers backwards and falls to the ground. They look at him.
Teal'c feels his neck.

TEALC: The First One is dead.

JACK: Yeah, well, that's fine by me. C'mon.

When they've left, Unas's eyes light up. He's not dead!

SCENE: MOUNTAINSIDE

Daniel, Sam and Kendra are walking through the mountains.

SCENE: UNDERGROUND

JACK: What? Teal'c, can you relax? That thing's dead, for crying out
loud.

TEALC: I believe I heard a sound.

JACK: Well, there wouldn't be two of those things in here, would
there?

TEALC: If there were, they would surely battle to the death.

JACK: So what did you mean when you told that thing it didn't exist?

TEALC: Unas is believed to have been the first host, born of the same
primordial waters as the Goa'uld. He became a myth, much like your
vampire.

JACK: That thing was a Goa'uld?

TEALC: Yes.

JACK: I thought they preferred human hosts?

TEALC: There are other species, far older, that have been used as
hosts, some of immeasurable power and savagery.

JACK: Yeah, well, I wonder how long it's been trapped down here.

TEALC: Perhaps a thousand years. Unas can utilize long periods of
sleep to survive.

JACK: It is dead, right? We don't have to go back there and drive a
stake through its chest or anything?

TEALC: The old stories say Unas had great regenerative powers. But
those are tales told to frighten children. It is a myth.

JACK: Huh.

TEALC: It was dead.

JACK: That's good. [He walks off]

TEALC: I believe.

JACK: You believe? [Jack stops, they walk on together]

TEALC: I am certain.

JACK: Positive?

TEALC: I am.

JACK: Just a myth.

TEALC: A myth.

JACK: Good.

SCENE: MOUNTAINSIDE

Kendra kneels on top of a ridge.

DANIEL: We're not lost, are we?

KENDRA: It was long ago. Everything was covered with snow. It all
looks different now.

Sam walks off in disgust. Daniel crouches next to Kendra.

DANIEL: Kendra, it's all right, just take your time. Kendra, when the
Goa'uld was destroyed within you, what did it feel like, exactly?

KENDRA: Your wife?

DANIEL: I have to know if there's any hope.

KENDRA: It was very painful, like needles stabbing inside the head.
The beast will do anything to stay in control. It's a battle of wills.
Many give up.

DANIEL: Well, Sha're wasn't trained in a temple like you, but she had
a spirit, she was a fighter.

KENDRA: You loved her very much.

DANIEL: I still do. I dream about her. It's as if some part of her is
reaching out to me. Or maybe that's just wishful thinking.

KENDRA: No! You still are connected. If you find her, and bring her
here, I believe there is hope.

DANIEL: Thank you.

Sam walks over to them.

KENDRA: I'm sure now. This is the way. [She points]

The three of them walk off.

SCENE: UNDERGROUND

Jack and Teal'c pause before walking down another tunnel. Unas groans
as he pulls bullets out of himself. He looks at one of the bullets and
roars. Jack and Teal'c hear him.

JACK: Okay, that's no myth.

Kendra, Sam and Daniel are walking along an aqueduct.

KENDRA: Gairwyn told me Thor built this centuries ago. It brings the
water from the mountains to his people in the towns.

DANIEL: Thor is generous.

KENDRA: Yes. This means we are close.

Kendra walks ahead, Sam accosts Daniel in order to talk to him.

SAM: Daniel, she said that hours ago. Now either she's lost and
doesn't want to admit it, or--

DANIEL: I don't think that she would mislead us.

SAM: Maybe it's not on purpose, maybe it's not even conscious! What
she suffered on her world and while being a Goa'uld will translate
anywhere as incredible abuse.

DANIEL: Doesn't the fact that she interpreted those gusts of wind and
thunder as signs mean something?

SAM: Part of her wants to face it all again and another part clearly
doesn't, and it looks like the part that doesn't is winning. We're
wasting valuable time here!

DANIEL: Okay, Gairwyn said that hunters found her. Well most hunters
don't necessarily travel in a straight line. They follow game. They
would not risk hunger just to get her back a day sooner.

SAM: Daniel, your belief that Kendra can somehow help bring Sha're
back to you, it doesn't make it true...

Daniel turns away.

SAM: ...and it certainly doesn't make her reliable!

DANIEL: Haven't you ever had a feeling that made absolutely no logical
sense and it turned out to be right?

KENDRA: [Shouts from a distance] This way!

They follow her along the aqueduct.

SCENE: LABYRINTH

JACK: You sure we didn't come this way before?

TEALC: We have not.

JACK: It looks awfully familiar.

Unas appears and moves towards them.

UNAS: Your weapons cannot kill me! I know the secrets of the
labyrinth. I could help you escape.

JACK: A map would be nice.

Jack and Teal'c shoot Unas.

JACK: C'mon!

Unas gets up again!

SCENE: MOUNTAINSIDE

KENDRA: There.

They go up a hillside and look at a carving.

DANIEL: The Hammer.

KENDRA: Yes, this is where I came out.

SAM: Okay, good. What do you remember about the labyrinth?

KENDRA: It's difficult, my beast wandered forward and back many times.
I do remember the place of entrance, where Thor speaks to the
Goa'ulds.

DANIEL: Thor is inside?

KENDRA: He seems to be, but he speaks the same message again and
again. My beast believed he was not real. There were long tunnels,
leading from one room to another, and something else was in there,
something alive.

DANIEL: What?

KENDRA: I don't know.

DANIEL: Look, you don't have to go any further if you don't want to,
okay?

Kendra nods, it thunders.

KENDRA: Thor asks that I try.

SCENE: LABYRINTH

Teal'c and Jack enter a chamber. A door opens, and Jack goes through
it.

JACK: Yeah, this is it. We're outta here, let's go.

Teal'c steps forward and is trapped in a beam of red light. He's
obviously in extreme pain.

JACK: Teal'c, get out of there!

Teal'c can't move, so Jack knocks him back through the doorway.

TEALC: Thank you, O'Neill.

JACK: Yeah.

There is a growl.

TEALC: If I am to die, it would be as a warrior, facing my enemy.

JACK: Last mag, hell, why not. [He loads the last magazine into his
gun]

SCENE: CAVE ENTRANCE

Kendra pauses before entering the cave.

SAM: It's okay, stay here.

DANIEL: You've done enough, really.

KENDRA: In the temple we were taught that fear is the greatest enemy.
I must face my fear.

Daniel and Sam exchange looks, and they all enter.

SCENE: LABYRINTH

Unas approaches.
TEALC: Are you considering the same tactic as I?

JACK: Teal'c, the cliché is, "are you thinking what I'm thinking?".
And the answer is yes.

UNAS: Human, you can save yourself, why do you stay? Jaffa, why do you
ally yourself with a slave? Once, the Goa'uld were all as Unas, we
were few, but we ruled millions, we fed upon the weak to keep
ourselves strong. I will take pleasure in killing and devouring you
both.

Unas roars as he attacks them. Teal'c grapples with him, and when Unas
is in front of the Hammer they open fire.

DANIEL: Gunfire. They're in trouble.

KENDRA: It's still alive.

Jack and Teal'c are shooting Unas.

SAM: We're so close! Feel around the door, see if there's a trigger
somewhere.

Jack and Teal'c shoot more, Unas sinks down.

KENDRA: There's one more thing I can try. I learned this from the
songs of Thor's people. [She touches the wall] Call the rune flow,
read the might, see the rainbow, test the white!

The door opens.

Unas gets up and lurches forward. Teal'c grabs him and pushes him into
the Hammer; Teal'c is trapped in the beam as well.

JACK: Teal'c!

Unas is roaring in agony.

TEALC: There is no other way!

Jack pulls Teal'c out of the beam. Unas eventually falls out of the
beam. Teal'c looks at him. The others enter.

TEALC: Without the healing power of the Goa'uld, this body will no
longer regenerate. There is too much damage.

KENDRA: Now I see why they call you friend.

SAM: This is Kendra, she brought us here.

DANIEL: She had first-hand knowledge. She was a Goa'uld.

Jack and Teal'c look at Kendra.

DANIEL: The Hammer works! Do you know what this means?

JACK: It's the only way out of here, Daniel.

DANIEL: What this thing can do for Sha're and Skaara?

JACK: Teal'c's here now.

TEALC: And here I will remain. I was with those who took the ones you
love.

JACK: No, you're part of this family now. We're not leaving you
behind.

Daniel looks as if he's going to say something but thinks better of
it.

JACK: This thing won't work in here, try it from out there.

Jack hands Daniel the staff weapon. Daniel leaves the others and walks
onto the exit side of the Hammer. He reluctantly raises the staff and
shoots the Hammer. Blue light ricochets around it.

SAM: Did it work?

JACK: There's one way to find out.

Teal'c pauses before stepping through the Hammer.

TEALC: Thank you, Daniel Jackson.

Teal'c takes back the staff weapon.

DANIEL: Well at least we know it can be done, right?

SCENE: CIMMERIAN STARGATE

They're gathered at the Stargate.

KENDRA: Now that the Hammer is lost, I'm not sure what we'll do.

JACK: Ah, you should be all right. The Goa'uld don't know the Hammer
was destroyed.

SAM: Seal up the cave, if they come back at least they'll be put
somewhere safe.

KENDRA: I want to thank you for helping me have the courage to face my
greatest fears.

She opens up a bag and takes out a rune stone.

KENDRA: This is to remember our world.

She gives the stone to Daniel.

DANIEL: Thank you.

TEALC: We will never forget.

SAM: And we'd like to come back.

DANIEL: Oh! (He runs to FRED, which is still parked next to the
Stargate.) I almost forgot. (He picks up the Sagan Institute box and
hands it to Kendra.) Here, it's a gift; actually it's for Thor or his
people in case they ever come back. It's all about our people, who we
are, that we would like to be friends.

It thunders.

KENDRA: Thor is pleased.

JACK: That's great. Tell him we'd love to meet him someday, in person.

KENDRA: [Nodding] It is safe for you to travel, you should go now.

JACK: Daniel, you want to start dialing home, before it starts
raining?

DANIEL: Right.
