I wasn't surprised by Kevin being cut either. He deserved to go for the reasons you listed. I also thought Karen deserved to go, although she's one of my favorites, but knew it would be Channing because of her lack of personality in her performances. Karen's solo was disappointing at best. She did more posing and strutting than dancing. Nigel needs to stop making excuses about how difficult it is for ballroom dancers to do effective solos. I beg to differ: Heidi, Pasha & Lacey performed great solos in seasons past, so there's no reason for Karen not to shine on her own.

believe you mean twelve dancers, not twelve couples. I'm not surprised that Kevin was cut [much nicer than "booted off"]; he was very tentative in his lifts and general partner dancing. I do believe he has shown less development than any other male, except perhaps for Nathan [hmmm... maybe I should also include Victor, although victor's problem seems to be that, as Nigel says, he should demonstrate a little more than simply his adeptness at pirouetting]
As for Channing; I'm not surprised that she was cut. Although, when you look at the solos, I'm not sure that Channing did not do better than Karen. Karen's lackluster solo bothered me; it was almost as if she didn't care. Mollee's solo was very effective, and earned her the right to continue, but for how long? Only time will tell. It will be interesting to see how she will fare when the judges' votes no longer count. Her tweeny-bopper audience will really have to
kick in to save her.

it seems I'm the first one to post for this week: Cool! Alright first off am I alone to see that Kevin was kicked off!? I know I thought his solo was far better then Victor's. Well now we are down to 12 couples: wow! This season is really spinning! Oh I want to list my favorites:
1. Kathryn and Legacy 2. Russell and Noelle (I just think she is adorable) 3. Mollie and Nathan 4. Ryan and Eleanor 5. Ashleigh and Jakob
Ok now I know so far this week one person has posted their favorites how about the rest of the members! :)

I for one must strongly disagree. Kevin was sooo outclassed that it was ridiculous. He didn't even do his own style well. I agree with the judges' decision on the girl as well. (I guess this makes me an expert, huh? lol)
that is who i hope the top 10 are.

I tend to agree somewhat with you couples assessment, but not iwth your individuals. My favorite male is Legacy and my favorite female is Karen. Noelle & Ellenore are tied equal next for women and Russell comes after Legacy. Don't care about the other males. Ryan maybe deserves a mention as third, but distant, favorite male.

Does anyone have Season 5 of SYTYCD available for sale on DVD? I am looking for the entire show: auditions, interviews, and dances. Please, let me know.
I will, also, be interested in purchasing Season 6 when it becomes available.

I think that€ ¢Â Nigel was being an a$$hole for what he said about Nathan. That whole "I felt hot!" statement seemed like it was just said to make the situation a little lighter. I don't think Nathan was€ ¢Â disagreeing with the€ ¢Â judges.
Nigel€ ¢Â keeps complaining about how€ ¢Â really good dancers may get voted off, yet he says that this show is America's favorite dancer, not America's best dancer.€ ¢Â I don't€ ¢Â like to listen to what he€ ¢Â has to say sometimes.

Ya gotta kind of feel bad for MOLLEE as she is so likable ---She did a
pretty bad job and was lucky, but even if she and Nathan were in the
bottom 3 instead of KAREN/KEVIN , , I think her solo dancing would have
pulled her through-- I was rooting for her to do really well in The
Salsa, but obviously , that is not her bag.
This is where FAVORITE DANCER vs. BEST DANCER will expose
itself---MOLLEE is Good but not the best , but the public will love her--
Nigel's comment was confusing in that he said that Nathan was the one
the one with the big following instead of MOLLEE----Is that true , or
did he just make an error?
I couldn't agree more. Nigel was completely out of line. I also found it
appalling that he told Nathan that Kevin should stay over him! Kevin's
pair dance AND his solo sucked.
Then, as if NH had not already made a big enough A$$ of himself, he had the
uncontrolable urge to mercilessly bash all 6 of the bottom dancers.
PLEASE stop comparing them to last season's dancer's as a group and
individually. His comparison of Ryan to Ade' was particularly absurd. Ryan's solo was
not only the best of the males, it was just plain excellent.
Exactly why did they pick these dancers, parfticularly Mollee and Nathan
if they they weren't any good and too immature to handle this? Also, we
all know that the judges have contact with the dancers off the broadcast.
Couldn't he have ripped into Nathan privately? Get real.
As said, NH himself constantly reminds everyone that it's about FAVORITE,
not BEST.
Oh, and lets not forget NH SCREAMING "SHUT UP" at the audience and telling
them that they know nothing about dance. Who does he think pays his
salary? Rude, rude, rude to almost everyone except fellow judges and Cat. I
guess next he'll start bashing what Cat wears, her hair, how she talks...
A person can make their point without being cruel and rude.
I thought his entire display was intolerable, and he owes A LOT of people
apologies next week.

I was also displeased with Nigel's reaction. It could backfire because I would be more likely to vote for them to make up his haranguing of the couple.

The song "Come to Me" was sung by France Joli. The artist & song title are shown at the beginning of each performance. You can also find it in the episode recaps on the Fox website: http://www.fox.com/dance/recaps/season6/. Just select the episode from the menu on the left & then click on the Song & Performance tab.

Hi,
In last night's 2 hour show (which I watched today) there was a song called, "come to me." I love the song and tried to look up the lyrics but there are so many musicians who actually sang it. So many its hard to determine which actually sang it. I don't want the actual mp3 just the lyrics for a title for a story idea. The song's words just made the title of the song seemed perfect for what I had in mind.
So can anybody help me? So far everyone here has been wonderful whenever I needed help with a song or anything else I needed. So if anyone here knows who sang it please email me or post the answer.
I was also displeased with Nigel's reaction. It could backfire because I would
be more likely to vote for them to make up his haranguing of the couple.

I think that Nathan has a huge following among the tweeny boppers, and Mollee has one as well, but for different reasons. Nathan is a hearthrob with the girlies, and Mollee is one with whom they identify as being "one of their own." The fact that she gets to dance with Nathan, for them, is icing on the cake.

Interesting that You should pick this dance ( HUSTLE )to talk about -- I used to be into HUSTLE in NYC in the early 80's when it was the hottest thing and it became an official ballroom dance; and part of the annual HARVEST MOON BALL competition-
Tonight's dance would not be competitive with many of the NYC hustle dancers , but mainly because of the choreography, rather than the dancers-- The dance was too simple and Michelle, you are correct in that it never really kicked in --- The dance that is --- Karen was terrific considering that there was not much to the choreography of the dance. And I think that you are right about Kevin-
I do love this dance and I sure wish that they would do it more often ( maybe a different choreographer ) -- I believe that this was done once before , but I can't recall who did it , Anyone know ?
Thanks,,,,,Ralph

I just kept waiting for the music to pick up - seemed like it took forever for the dance to really kick in and then Kevin really seemed lost in it. Just ok for me.
