Subject: [SarahConnorChronicles] Terminator: TSCC Season 2 postmortem
For what it's worth, in my opinion, the show seemed to lose it's way about the middle of the season. I'm not sure what happened, but I could almost hear a network executive telling the writers to make the show more like Lost.
They added cryptic elements to the storyline, vague hints of things that were ultimately dead end plot elements. For example, the episode with Sarah in the clinic made no sense at all. Now to be fair, they did tie up some lose ends, for example, that there were at least 2 factions of terminators in play. But others, like the hints of aliens (X-files anyone?) went nowhere.
There were some elements, on the other hand that I liked very much, like the revelation that Cameron had a human's memories inside her database. And I must say that I thought Summer Glau did a great job with her character(better than Arnold in my opinion) She had the thousand yard stare down perfectly. And, the little episode with the bird showed the conflicting human/machine elements perfectly, I think she pulled this off rather well.
Oh well, I guess the show was just too good for network TV. Too bad it's not the 90's, it would have ended up in syndication.
