Glad to see some activity with the board. I too was "recruited" by Out2theblack and have been increasingly curious about future endeavors for the group. As I have told Out, I live in the Nevada desert and seem to be always on the lookout for interesting happenings and worthwhile causes. Exploration and understanding have always been a big aspect in the lives of my people (Stillwater Paiute).
Hope to hear from more of y'all soon.

Hello all! I'm delighted to be a part of your group. I browsed the
photos. Would anyone mind telling me what they're from and give me
some context .... I'm intrigued!!!
Also, anyone in the group care to tell me about themselves? I've been
chatting with out2theblack but know there are a few more of you ...
cheers!

Hello Austin !
We are thrilled that you are onboard , and so eager to participate !
The photos in the file are from past missions conducted by our sponsor ,
John Powell...In true Brown*Coat fashion , he lives
"on the edge"...But , he's thinking of "moving off of the edge",
--Outbound !
Apologies to all for the lack of recent traffic in this group , but we
are staying small for right now , 'til the influx of new folk can be
properly accomodated...We are looking for a couple of new people with
the expansion in mind...Meanwhile , if anyone wants to volunteer to
help moderate , any that are present now may volunteer for that...
The photos : 'ISF Base Camp' is from a site on the edge of the Black
Rock dry lake in NW Nevada...The 'Airship' photos are from a past
contract that was fulfilled by John , for the Air Force , by his
organization , JP Aerospace...The balloon and spaceborne camera were
similar projects that are conducted by JP and company , on a regular
basis...We are thrilled to have JP sponsoring the Independent
Spaceborne Forces , because the work that he does is a natural fit to
the notion of 'regular folk' in space...We want to raise the profile
of Brown*Coats and get more notice for the 'franchise' by continuing
to 'Do the Impossible'...So we ultimately get a " Return to the
'Verse ".
Likewise , Austin , we're thrilled to have someone of your enormous
talent along for the missions...Might be a 'rockety ride' ; it
certainly won't be dull !
John Powell is present with us in our group as 'rocketballoon'...We
expect to update everyone very soon with more news , as the plans
begin to be more firm...He has experience with artistic folk , and
some are sponsors of his...I understand that Arthur C. Clarke is a
fan of JP's 'PongSat' educational outreach work , and has flown a
PongSat payload himself...
Austin , your music is an inspiration for me personally , and now I
can't think of a piece like your "Music for Dirigible" , without also
having in mind an image of a JP Aerospace airship...My favorite score
is Pachelbel's 'Canon' , and your music stirs and inspires me just as
much ! So , I encourage everyone presently in the group to check out
Austin's website . He was thoughtful to include his web address above:
<http://www.austinwintory.com/ > . Everyone should go there and click
the 'Listen' tab !
There's music there that will suit any tasteful
person's preferences...
Sincerely , --'Out2theBlack'
