That's from SURVIVAL, after the Interceptors have shot down the UFO,
and it is coming in to land on and destroy one of the Moonmobiles.

I agree with your description generally, except on one point: the UFO Saucer. Not
one commercial manufacturer or model maker (professional or otherwise) has
produced an accurate replica of this craft.Even the very talented model
maker Martin Bowers (who has made all different models from the Gerry Anderson
shows-and has a fondness for UFO) made a model of the saucer which was a parody
of the original. However if you would like to make an ACCURATE miniature replica
of the saucer,go to the SHADO website and download the instruction booklet and
the template sheet.
You will need microsoft word on your computer. If you don,t have that, you can go
to the FABGEAR website and download it in PDF form.It is located in the UFO
discussion forum.
Good to know another model maker interested in UFO has joined the forum.

Hi all,

On my UFO Series Home Page, I have a "search this site" button on the
main page. This doesn't get used very much, but I keep it around because
I am amused by the weekly summary I get showing what terms people are
searching for. For example, I just got this summary:

----
Here are the top phrases searched:

   - 4 for "sky divers"
   - 2 for "gay"
   - 2 for "star trek"
   - 1 for "angel"
   - 1 for "antonia ellis"
   - 1 for "ayshea"
   - 1 for "commander straker"
   - 1 for "fan fiction"
   - 1 for "fat ugly"
   - 1 for "fbi"
----

But now I'm trying to figure out why someone searched on "fat ugly"?!
Perhaps they were looking for something on General Henderson? :-)

I dreamt I was on vacation...either in Europe or just the UK....can't remember
that detail and me and the family were in some sort of Toys R Us type store
looking at toys (We all love toys). So I'm looking around and on the shelves
are tons....tons of classic Gerry Anderson toys including a huge WAVE Skydiver
kit. (This was before the Konami toys came out)

The prices were incredably low and I was really starting to stock up...getting
extra shopping carts etc and my family for some reason really wanted to leave
and I had to go to the bathroom!

At other times I think I've dreamt up unfilmed episodes of Space 1999 or Babylon
5. I have had some serious dreams of films or stories that seemed fairly
complete when I woke but that was before coffee!

Hi folks,
For the model fans, the Product Enterprises Interceptor with UFO, and Skydiver
models are listed as available for preorder on Hobbylink Japan. Interestingly
they are listed as an Aoshima product (look at Earlybird Specials on the HLJ
home page - 3rd page under UFO)
Prices are not going to be competitive though - 9386yen including a 5% earlybird
discount (48quid, $US87)
Thought you might like to know.
Cheers
Tania.

Funny, I just finished a conversation two minutes ago about odd dreams.

I had one once where I was waiting to take a group of people on a tour around
the countryside and Alec Freeman was supposed to be driving the bus, only he
hadn't shown up yet. I had to then think of some excuse for the tourists, that
didn't mention aliens or SHADO although I knew that was what had held them up.

I also had one once where I was acting in a comedy sketch show with Ed Bishop
[and, of all people, Ronnie Barker] which is only slightly UFO related I
suppose.

I know I've had other vaguely UFO-related ones but can't think for the moment.
Lot of ones where I was buying merchandise, which either doesn't really exist or
I couldn't afford in real life.

Have had a few over the years, and they were all pretty cool. But it
would take pages to cover what happens in them, and there are so many
strange twists and tweaks in them....
Then 20 minutes after you wake up, the memory of them is so polluted,
you can't use them anymore....

Hi All,

I had a surreal UFO related dream, probably as a result of eating too much
cheese before retiring...

It was one of those 'fly on the wall' type of dreams where you witness
rather than participate. Anyway, all the characters (except Commander
Straker) were muddled up, e.g. Miss Ealand was Gay Ellis but dressed in Miss
Ealand's usual style. I heard her tell the Commander to type his own
letters, and also refused to make him any coffee and refused outright to
create any labels for his music collection. The atmosphere between them was
rather tense, but strangely evocative... (never did discover the whereabouts
of Miss Ealand... Maybe she was running Moonbase).

Paul Foster had become Lt Ford, and didn't seem to like taking the heat etc.

Alec Freeman had donned a yellow medical tunic and now answered to the name
Dr Schroeder... It was a weird dream! Access to the medical supplies had had
a beneficial effect on his skin problems though.

I had a glimpse of General Henderson scooting round the underground base
making a nuisance of himself on one of those one-man electric buggies, but
the worst transformation was that Dr Jackson was now in charge of the Astro
Space Commission, and the supplies budget had been suspended, and the
Commanders personal entertainments/refreshments budget had been suspended
pending a full hearing... How could the Commander explain that one away now
that Col Freeman was a tea-total doctor?

The Commander was also furious because Joan Harrington's first film had been
a huge hit, and he was forced to let her make a sequel which was massively
impacting on her duty roster as Head of Security, and Lunar Module pilot...
There was a huge backlog of Moonbase spares in creates blocking many of the
corridors.

I could go on, but it was just too surreal and I think you get the picture!
You know how weird and yet strangely and illogically plausible dreams can
sometimes be?

Best to all,

Griff

Greetings,

I found the first two reviews of the German UFO DVD box in the
mags "DVD Special" (issue 5/2004) and "Widescreen" (5/04).

The review in "Widescreen" is rather short and not very witty
(e.g. "The art of acting from the school of William Shatner meets the
recycling design of the Sperrmuell [refuse, waste])".

The review in "DVD Special" is about one and a half pages - and
partly wrong :-( E.g. it's written that there are 24 episodes instead
of 26. The author is in fond of the picture quality but nobody seems
to notice the troubles with the German dubbing.

I'll send scans from the two mags :-)

Marc,

they *are* different. I went to the trouble of making frame captures
from JFSS and the UFO ep MWCB and will send them to your files
section immediatly :-) Of course, it could be that Meddings & Co
reworked the Doppelgänger modul for the use in UFO. Sadly there is
no section about JFSS in Meddings "21st Century Visions" book (and no
word about the repair craft, either).
