Sorry i've not been updating for a little while, my server crashed due
to some little bug and took out the whole network, millions stranded
without access to their wonder internet and I have to say I was
chomping at the bits.
I've not had a chance to watch the new ep, "The Hive" (part 2 of the
lost boys) just yet, but I sure am looking forward to it, and will do
the summary for those that haven't seen it within the next day or two.
Sorry again peeps

Anyway, i've created a database for Atlantis quotes in the 'Database' section. Feel free to add your favourite quotes, i've started the ball rolling, and have made it as simple as possible, becuase my brain likes simplicity this time of night, lol.

I don't remember that bit, will have to go back and watch it again. I
think there is definately a strong bond there with all the characters.

Hehehe I wonder if the food thing is a McKay thing or a David thing,
lol, there's a good question to ask at a con.

I'm so busy typing, lol, I always miss little bits like this, DOH!
What a pity i'll have to watch it all form the beginning again, lol.
It's such a hard life. Rodney always seem to be eating. I think in
about 80% of the episodes he's shoving either food or drink down his
throat, lol.

There's a scene that I love in the beginning, I didn't remark it the
first time I see the episode, I saw it when they show the filming in
another angle in a special tv show.
When the prisonners attack the team, after Ronon takes the arrow out
and that Sheppard talk to their attackers, when they try to leave and
they're attacked again, Ronon immediately put a hand on Rodney and
push him on the ground to protect him.
I love how they don't have anything in common but they bond on the
food:
Ronon: Very good!
McKAY: Oh yes, good idea! And when you're finished with their
porridge, why don't we try their beds, hmm?
Ronon: Want some?
McKAY: How good is it?
(must think to put it on the database later).
And even if Rodney greatly bother him, Ronon loves gently tease him,
and always protect him, like if Rodney was his little geek brother.
Love how, when Sheppard talk to Elizabeth, you have the two of them
looking the food.

No really, there are spoilers
Ok, here it comes
First with the food again, when Ford told them to eat, Ronon sniffles
the food, looks at Rodney, and only then Rodney eat, Ronon following.
And toward the end, when Rodney leaves the dart with Sheppard, you
can see Ronon put his hand briefly on Rodney's back when he walk near
him.

Rainbow: Chris and Michael Shanks I hang out with all the time.
They're great men.
Rachel: They've been wonderful, very welcoming, there's been some

Rainbow: But they definitely took us in and welcomed us with open

STARGATE ATLANTIS - 9 p.m.
"The Hive" - McKay (David Hewlett) races against time to rescue
Sheppard (Joe Flanigan), Teyla (Rachel Luttrell), and Ronon (Jason
Momoa) after they are captured and held hostage on a Wraith hive ship.
Captured by the Wraith, Sheppard, Teyla, Ronon, and Ford (Rainbow Sun
Francks) are being held hostage aboard a hive ship. As the team
desperately searches for some means of escape, they are shocked to
discover a coalition of Wraith followers on board the ship.
McKay, who is still stranded on Ford's planet, soon realizes that the
team has been captured. In order to escape the planet, he comes up
with an unconventional plan: he injects himself with a massive amount
of the dangerous Wraith enzyme. The drug provides him with brute
strength, and after knocking the guards that surround him
unconscious, he is able to dial the gate and leave the planet. When
he arrives on Atlantis completely incoherent, Dr. Weir (Torri
Higginson) and Dr. Beckett (Paul McGillion) put him under immediate
medical supervision.
Looks to be a great ep.

In "Thirty Eight Minutes," what was Sheppard going to say to Dr. Weir

"I can't tell you that, otherwise I would've told you. That's another
one of those useful mysteries. To narrow it down, it ranges from the
sublimely profound to the completely trivial. If you can choose
somewhere between those two things, you're probably right."

Sheppard, McKay, Ronon and Teyla are aboard the puddle jumper flying
over a new planet (Olesia) when they notice smoke coming from a camp
fire. They investigate and find it is very primitive. No one is in
site. Ronon finds some food cooking on the camp fire and tastes it,
lol, Rodney is disgusted then goes into the whole Goldilocks and the
three bears analogy. Suddenly they are fired upon, mostly with
primitive weapons, apart from the slingshots that act like gunpowder
that explodes on impact. Ronon is wounded, but not seriously. A large
vessel descends on their location and uses its turbines to disperse
the inhabitants, giving the team a chance to get back in the puddle
jumper. The vessel then leads them back to the mainland where there
is a more technologically advanced civilisation. They are met by a
lady called Marin who despatched the security attachment to rescue
them, she informs them that where they landed is a penal colony. They
are taken to see the Magistrate who gushes over their arrival, asking
where they came from, they bluff and say they originally came from
Atlantis until it was destroyed (see Siege III). The magistrate is
well aware of the wraith, and he advises that he uses the penal
colony stationed by the gate as a way to stop the wraith venturing
into the main part of the city. He advises that the penal colony only
accommodates those that have committed heinous crimes.
They have some minerals that they are willing to share, the ore gives
off energy and can subsequently be used as a power conduit.
Negotiations ensue and Weir seems willing to trade, but there is one
snag, the prisoners. They debate over the morality of the way the
Olesians handle the prisoners before they proceed.
Heading back to Atlantis, the tam have to pass over the penal coloney
before they gate home. The prisoners fire on the puddle jumper and
it's shot down. The team suffer minor injuries, but appear for the
most part to be ok. Deciding that they should walk back to the gate,
they are surrounded by the prisoners, who in turn steal all the
weapons. One of the prisoners uses an RPG (Rocket propelled Grenade)
and destroys one of the shacks. The team are tied up in a shack, and
the lead prisoner informs them that he plans to use the puddle jumper
to get off the planet. He tells Rodney to fix the ship, and Rodney
says, `What am I, McGyver', lol. If he doesn't succeed the team will
be killed off one by one.
Shepperd tres to calm down Ronon, whose a bit ticked off, and wants
to kill the leader of the penal colony (Torrell). Sheppard tells him
to forget about revenge, Ronon asks if that is an order and
Shepperd's reply is. "I'm beat up, tied up, and couldn't order a
pizza right now if I wanted to. But if you need it to be, then yeah."
McKay is in the puddle jumper with Torrell arguing about getting the
jumper fixed, there's a funny exchange of words with these two, it
reminds me of McKay and Kolya. He doesn't threaten Rodney, but
instead knows that the only way McKay will fix the ship is by
threatening his team. Eldon (one of the prisoners) is assigned to
help Rodney fix the jumper, but because he doesn't know about Ancient
technology, he isn't much use to Rodney.
Back on Atlantis, Weir has learned the teams missing, as they failed
to come through the gate when it was activated and heads for the
planet.
Rodney learns that the main power conduit has been damaged. It powers
the cock pit, the DHD and all the primary systems, and without a
replacement they aren't going anywhere. But Eldon tells him, he needs
to get the ship working before the next culling.
Rodney tells Torrell that he can't fix the jumper. Needless to say he
doesn't believe him, and neither does Sheppard. Eldon tells them all
that Torrell is a murderer, and that the inhabitants of the penal
colony are not all murderers as the Magistrate claims. Funny liner,
John calls Ronon, Chewy, lol, when he tries to escape the bindings.
Eldon comes back, and promises to release him in return for the team
taking him back with him. Sheppard doesn't believe Rodney can't fix
the ship, and initially he protests until he says there may be one
way to do it.
Managing to escape they head for the jumper, without difficulty,
Sheppard has bad vibes. They realise it's a trap, and they decide the
only way to get back to the jumper is by fighting. Ronon tells
Sheppard that he thought he was never going to fight. Sheppard
informs him that he's just naturally lazy, lol.
Before they get a chance to execute their plan the gate activates and
the Wraith come through, the prisoners on seeing the Wraith scatter,
leaving the puddle jumper clear.
Back in the main city, the magistrate tells Weir about the dart, and
they've had to pull out of the rescue mission. You then see the
Magistrate eating and drinking with the wraith. It appears they have
some sort of deal going on, where the lives of those in the city are
spared, in exchange for the lives of those on the penal colony. The
bittersweet alliance appears to have been going on for some time, but
the Wraith are now getting greedy and want more food, especially with
the Wraith hive ships awakening. The Magistrate promises the Wraith
more food.
Marin, goes to see Weir in secrecy and tells her of the Magistrates
plans and what's been happening on the planet. The Magistrate barges
in and tells Weir that it's lies, and Marin is arrested for
treasonous activities. Weir confronts the magistrate asking if he
rescinded the orders to pull back the rescue ship. He doesn't answer
her. After an exchange of words Weir rescinds the alliance.
At the puddle jumper, Sheppard tries to do a Teyla and snap a branch
over his knee and fails miserably, lol. The team attack the
prisoners, but unfortunately they don't succeed. At the same time,
Rodney shouts out that he has fixed the ship, much to the pleasure of
Torrell. Torrell in the mean time has a change of plans he wants to
return to their homeworld, but Sheppard refuses.
A Wraith cruiser hovers over the colony, this distraction buys a
little time for Ronon to grab a weapon and it's a stand off between
them all. As the Wraith Cruiser closes in they make it back to the
puddle jumper. Trouble is it's not working. They manage to get the
weapons working for one shot only. Weir spots the fire, and heads
over to them (cloaked). Two more Wraith cruisers are on the way, and
Sheppard gives the prisoners a choice, stay or go.
****************************
Want to know the end?
Sure?
Positive?
Okay.
****************************
Weir opens the Stargate to another address and the prisoners escape
to their new home. Then you see the Wraith cruiser heading for the
main city, ready for feasting. The ending doesn't show you what
happened to the puddle jumper or the team, but Sheppard told Weir to
dial Atlantis straight after the last of the prisoners got through
the gate to their new planet.
All you see is the Magistrate looking a little bit nervous as the
Cruiser lands in his city.

Hi everyone,
Just to let you all know that the Atlantis (Region 2) boxset is due
out supposedly in February 2006 *sigh*. I was hoping for an early
Christmas gift, but C'est la vie.
The cost is approximately £48 (UK Sterling).
If anything changes, i'll let you know.

Just to let everyone know that i've started adding quotes and such to
the database. At the moment i'm starting with Rising and working my
way up to Season 2. Feel free to add your favourites as I said before.
I've also added a whumpage database, lol, which will catalogue all the
injuries etc. I'm upto 38 Minutes at the moment. Again feel free to
add stuff that I might miss.
Enjoy

into her culture and find out what she brings from that and how it
fleshes her out as a person. When we first met Teyla she was this
interesting sketch of a wise and powerful leader. Then slowly during
Season One we learnt, among other things, that she can sense the
Wraith and establish a two-way mental link with them. She's always
known this, but up to now her abilities weren't as acute. They're

Sheppard, Teyla, McKay, Beckett, and Lt. Laura Cadman are out
searching a planet that has recently been culled by the Wraith. The
whole planet is desterting, and the team's have been split up Teyla
and Sheppard are in one team and Mckay, Beckett and Cadman are
searching elsewhere. General banter ensues between the 3, and Cadman
suggests to Rodney that he should pick some flowers for his date :o)
Beckett thinks this is hilarious, and there's a great line there.
Beckett: What is this now? You have a date Rodney…with a woman.
Rodney: It is simply two people sharing some friendly…(then realising
what Carson has said)…Yes, with a woman.
Hehehehe very funny. Rodney is ticked off and Cadman tells him to
shut up, lol. He gets more annoyed, but there's another reason why
she told him to shut up…a wraith dart. Cadman informs the others, and
then tells them to scatter. Unfortunately the dart scoops up her and
McKay.
Sheppard orders the dart to be shot down, so as not to blow
Atlantis's cover. They succeed and the dart crash lands on the planet
before getting through the gate. The next scene is a team of
scientists gathered round the craft, the wraith is still alive,
Carson won't shoot him, but as he goes to press the self destruct
Sheppard arrives and finishes the job. Zelinka (his first time off
world) has managed to connect some of the Atlantean technology to the
craft and is able to pick up some life signs. Unfortunately they only
have enough power to get one of them out of the craft…trouble is they
can't identify who, and Sheppard has to make a choice. They activate
the re-materialization device and it's McKay who's released. He's
stunned like a wraith stunner, but Cadman is still locked inside the
craft.
Sheppard has lunch with Ronan and hints at him joining them, Ronon
isn't convinced, believing he won't fit in (and he looks at the
Security guard).
The problem with the craft is the transformers have been burned out
and the power fluctuation is unstable, so they can't figure out how
to get Cadman out of the machine, but they're working on it.
McKay wakes up and starts hearing voices in his head (this is a
really funny scene with Beckett and McKay). It turns out the voice
he's hearing inside his head is Lt Laura Cadman.
Trying to figure out what happened McKay is discharged from sickbay
and Laura keeps interrupting his thought processes as he and Zelinka
are trying to sort out how to stabilize the power conduits. McKay
loses his temper, as Laura is annoying him by calling out his name.
She's ticked off, because Rodney is ignoring her. He loses his temper
and Weir, orders him to go and see Heightmeyer (Councillor). He
protests, saying he's okay, but Sheppard tells him he's not.
Reluctantly he goes to see her. On his way he passes Katie Brown
(whom he has the date with) and he's arguing with Laura in his head,
Katie wonders if he's okay, and asks if he can still make it to their
date. He assures her he's okay and that he'll be there. Cadman
realises how bad he is with women.
The next scene shows Ronan kicking the ass out of the SF's during
training.
McKay sees Heightmeyer, and she tries to get Rodney to release some
control to Cadman, and she succeeds. Laura manages to talk through
McKay and use his motor skills, but Rodney doesn't like the thought
that he is losing control and storms out.
In the training area, Sheppard is teaching Ronon how to use the
weapons, but he's doing fine on his own and show's he's quite skilled
at his craft.
Rodney tries to get the simulations to work, and nearly blows up the
lab. Zelenka and him fight, as Rodney is beginning to make mistakes
with calculations, Zelenka tells him to leave the situation in his
hands.
Rodney meets up with Sheppard in the corridor, and Sheppard tells him
that it was him who gave the order to shoot the dart down. Rodney
tells him it wasn't his fault and heads for bed. It's at that point,
when Rodney is asleep that Laura takes over his body and he goes and
searches for Beckett, and asks him to ride shotgun on the date with
Katie, he's acting all feminine, and it looks as if Laura has the
hots for Beckett.
The next scene is McKay waking up in someone elses bed and he's
nekid. It turns out that he's in Laura's room, lol, and she's seen
EVERYTHING, hehehe, she tells him what she did the night before and
he's not impressed.
Teyla and Ronon work out and he kicks her ass. Sheppard intervenes,
but Ronon says he wouldn't have hurt her. He goes to see her later
and apologizes if he was too hard on her. She asks him if he plans to
join the Atlantis team.
The date takes place…Rodney wonders why Beckett is there, because he
doesn't remember asking him. That's because he didn't. Cadman
continues to tell him what to do, and she was right he is hopeless
with women, lol.
After the terrible disastrous and awkward date McKay is called to the
lab to test the effectiveness of the device Zelinka has been working
on. Unfortunately the tests don't work out as well as planned and the
mice are vaporised. McKay thinks he's going to stay like that
permanently.
Rodney goes back to see Heightmeyer and they (Laura and Rodney) end
up fighting internally, until he has a seizure.
Beckett tells Weir and Sheppard that the dominance over the brain is
having a deleterious effect on Rodney's brain, and it's causing the
seizures. It means that one of them (Rodney or Laura) will have to
relinquish control…which means that one of them will eventually die.
But which one?
Rodney suddenly has an idea about using the gate's re-materialization
crystal to enhance the power supply of the wraith dart, thus enabling
the two of them to survive, trouble is, in theory it seems to work,
but without testing it on a live subject they have no way of knowing
if Rodney and Laura will end up like the mice.
McKay has a great line on this, when Sheppard asks him if he's sure
he wants to do this. McKay replies, `What are we, men or mice.'
Hehehehe.
Before he gets zapped, Laura takes over his body once more. And
thinking it's the last time that she will get the opportunity to kiss
Beckett, she stops the process and goes over to Beckett who's in the
lab and gives him a big smacker on the lips, much to everyone's
amusement.
McKay is mortified, lol. He tells Zelinka just to get on with it, and
they disappear back into the machine.
******************************************************************
Sure you want to know the ending?
Absolutely positive?
You know there's no turning back once you take a peek, lol.
Okay, here you go.
******************************************************************
Rodney and Laura re-materialize, and collapse to the floor. Taken to
the sickbay unconscious, we wait to see if it's worked. McKay wakes
up and hears Cadman's voice. Weir, Teyla, Beckett and Sheppard are
waiting to see if they are okay. McKay groans, thinking that it
didn't work as he can't see her in the adjoining bed. Luckily he's
wrong and she's on the other side of his cot. He's grateful, and
Sheppard tells Cadman that she's survived his worst nightmare, lol.
Beckett advises them both that they are okay, and before he leaves,
Carson squeezes Laura's hand.
Thoughts? I loved this eppy very humorous, Hewlett did a great job
without going overboard on the comic timing, and maybe Beckett will
finally have a love interest that he's been yearning for since the
first ep, lol. Nice `B' storyline with Ronon being integrated into
the team. I think Weir is going to have lots of fun with Ronon, lol.
She doesn't seem to know how to be around him, so it will be
interesting to see what the dynamics will be with these two.
