Tonight (3-8) Arianespace is set to launch, a Ariane 5 ES (v.181) with
Jules Verne, Europe’s first Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV) resupply
spacecraft to service the international space station., from ELA-3,
Kourou, French Guiana, South America.
Launch is set for 11:03 p.m. EST.
Spacecraft separation for Jules Verne is expected 66 minutes after lift
off.
Jules Verne, is Europe's first Automated Transfer Vehicle to deliver
supplies to the International Space Station, docking to the aft docking
port of Zvezda on April 3rd after weeks of various demo tests using GPS
and optical navigation rendezvous attempts.
