This Saturday evening (11-17) International Launch Services Proton
M/Breeze M rocket is scheduled to launch SIRIUS 4 communications
satellite for SES SIRIUS, Stockholm, Sweden, from Launch Pad 39,
Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan.
Launch is scheduled for 5:39 p.m. EST.
Spacecraft Separation is approximately 9 hours and 13 minutes after liftoff
SIRIUS 4 is a A2100 AX platform, built by Lockheed Martin Commercial
Space Systems, Newtown, Penn is a Ku / ka Band Communications Satellite
with 52 active Ku-band transponders and 2 active Ka-band transponders
and will be located at 5 degrees east.
SIRIUS 4 will provide a wide range of telecommunications services,
providing coverage over Europe, Africa and the Baltic/Nordic region and
will replace SIRIUS 2 & 3.
Satellite Broadcast coverage:
Galaxy-26 (Telstar 6) at 93°W, transponder 15 C-Band (4000 V) analog
Test signals begin about 4:45 p.m. EST.
Broadcast starts about 5:15 p.m. EST.

New Skies NSS-7 22.0°W, transponder WHL5/EUH4, Channel 1, Ku-band,
downlink 11148.400 horizontal, symbol rate 6.113, digital PAL
Test signals start at 2145 GMT
Broadcast starts at 2215 GMT.
