Hey Arial and group! Yes, I did meet Dilana on the 28th! Sorry I'm just
getting around to posting, but I was so busy during the holidays.
Anyway, her is the recap: It was at The Harley Davidson Shop in Houma,
La. I got there at 5:30, I know a lady that works there, so she gave me
a heads up that Dilana was gonna ride into the building on a Harley.
They had a red carpet out, so I stood at the end of it and waited
there....I wanted to get good pictures, and I sure did! She rode into
the building at 7pm, the front tire of the bike was right by my foot
when it stopped! I was clicking that camera away...LOL! She got off the
bike to walk upstairs to the balcony. She passed so close by me, I gave
her a pat on the back. She went up to the balcony and there she
performed 4 songs (those pics didn't come out that great, cause the
light were dim up there). There was a table set up for her at the bottom
of the steps, to sign autographs and meet and greet the fans. I was 6th
in line:) The line was outrageous.....her face was priceless when she
realized how many people were there for autographs (Of course I took
pics of that...LOL. I have two, one with her look of shock, then one of
her grabbing her head, like "Oh My!!!" So, my chatting with her had to
be brief. When I got to her, I thanked her for coming and doing this for
her fans, we hugged across the table. I had 6 pictures I wanted her to
sign for some of my online friends. This was funny, I said "Would you
mind signing all six, some are from my friends out of state?" She
laughed and said (with her accent) "You're a bit greedy, aren't cha?" I
was like, "I'm sorry, but........" She cut me of, still laughing and she
said "I'm just kidding." So, she signed them.... I told her her concert
at the civic center was great, and told her I thought she was wonderful
for doing that for Tabby (her friend with cancer, all proceeds of that
concert went to Tabby and her son). She thanked me for going. I asked if
my husband could take a pic of me and her, she said "Of course". That
pic came out so funny, because a lady was on the side of my husband
taking the picture also.....right when my husband snapped the pic,
Dilana said, "What camera am I supposed to be looking at?"....So, in the
pic, she looks confused....LOL! She gave me another hug, then I asked
her when her new CD would be out...she said this summer!!!!!!!!!!! She
is really nice and down to earth. When she was doing her songs, she
interacts with the audience like we are all her friends! She is so short
and tiny, LOL, and much more beautiful in person, inside and out! Arial,
I did think of you when I made copies of the pictures, so I made an
extra set in case you wanted them. If you do, email me with your mailing
