Wasn't "Life is Beautiful" an incredible film? I thought Roberto
Begnini was just brilliant, and was so thrilled when he won the Oscar
for Best Actor. For a while, I didn't fully "get" the ending, when
after it was all over, the mother had the biggest smile on her face as
her little boy came running to embrace her. Then I realized what she
was doing - she was protecting him, just as his father had done.

"The Hiding Place" is another good one.
