After you mentioned that the 1977 clip of Billy Crystal was a
record-breaker, I went back and compared the photos of my episode with
the clip on YouTube. Sure enough, the woman in the clip was my
opponent! I always knew that my opponent won the pyramid after my
defeat (it was the last show of the week), but I had never known she
had broken a record. I can tell you that nobody noticed it at the
time. Unfortunately, I don't remember her name. However, I do
remember the name of the contestant right before me (Nora Chester).
She was memorable because at one point, she thought she had won the
pyramid, jumped up from her seat, and then wondered why the 'winner'
music was not playing. In reality, she had made an incorrect guess,
and sheepishly returned to her seat. But she had the last laugh when
she won the next game and the Pyramid..which allowed me and the record
setter in the clip to play our game together.
