'DIZZY' MODEL SCUTTLES SHOOT

January 25, 2005 -- MORGAN Quinn, the naughty Next mannequin who is
wreaking havoc on Bravo's "Project Runway," snarled a shoot for
Carlisle clothing last week. Our source says that an hour after she
was supposed to be there, the flighty Quinn called from her
cellphone to say her cab had been struck by another car. The blond
bombshell later walked off the set in tears, saying she'd suffered a
concussion in the accident and felt "dizzy." Not only did Quinn lose
her $8,000 payday, but Carlisle has slapped her with a $2,000
cancellation fee, Quinn says. "I'm not Naomi Campbell, you know,"
she tearfully told PAGE SIX. "I've had people say they don't wanna
work with me after watching the show. It has hurt me. If it was a
real job, I would have taken it more seriously — but it was a
reality show about people who had three hours to make dresses!"
While Quinn's kooky behavior made for some of the show's most
memorable moments, it's worth noting that "Runway" designers kept
picking her to model their clothes because of her undeniable catwalk
skills.

Man, oh man, did Morgan blow it or what??

BTW, in today's interview Wendy said they've called the cast back to
NYC to tape a reunion show.

Every week after the show some VA radio station does an interview
with Wendy

http://www.wage.com/listen/

No, they do NOT have archives.

But wendy's home page (www.wendypepper.com) has an episode by episode
breakdown of her views of the show and her design.

Love this show! It is the only show I tape.

I am wondering the same thing! I knew she wasn't
leaving last night because they really made it look
like she was, and we all know they like to keep things
surprising. But she SO deserved to be the one to be
"Out"! All of my favorites are still in, which I'm
happy about, but so is Wendy - and I don't know why!
Her design on last night's show was awful. Not to
mention that she really thinks she's better than the
rest of them, which would prejudice me against her
even if I liked her designs. She's the only one left
who I really dislike, so I'm hoping next week is her
week to go.

I'm new too.

I like Wendy and I like her designs (of course, I'm also in my 30's
and that's who she used to design for). But I think it will be

Kara
Jay
Austin

On that note, Am I the only person who keeps looking at Austin's
designs and thinking "That's EXACTLY how I always wanted my Barbies
to look!"?

Hi everyone, new to the group, but just wanted to know who people
think will make the top 3?

Personally, I hope Wendy is OUT, I do not like her designs or her
attitude. Kara Saun LOVE HER DESIGNS!!!!!!! Hope she makes it to
the top 3.

Austin, I really like his designs, granted I am in the theatre so
that may play a part in it, Jay, his ideas are interesting, and
different, but still good designs.

Robert... He's just hot.

my picks for top three are

1. Kara
2. Austin
3. Jay

what about y'all?

Why, oh why, is Wendy still here? After tonight's episode, I fully
stand by the fact that she is a complete and utter BITCH. She
couldn't make a decent outfit, so she took the easy way out and just
repeated everything TIM said in the workroom! The ONLY saving grace
is that they showed a clip of her crying in the next episode, so
that makes me smile. My fellow PR junkie, Jed, and I decided that
if we were competing on the show, we'd be like, "Wendy, don't you
have to go to the bathroom?" and then when she went, we'd cut up her
fabric into tiny pieces.

Kara Saun won again. Couldn't be happier! How many wins is that
now? Ha! :D

Poor Kevin. Granted he may not be the best leader, he was a nice
guy. Ah, what am I saying, he didn't really do much for the show -
auf weidersein!

Rob really does have a way with words, huh? I never really noticed
that before Kara Saun brought it up! The emperor has no clothes,
but lemme tell ya why! ...and it would still be purchaced. Nice
moves, but I don't think he'll make it to the top three. Sad -
total hottie.

Til next week!
Mark

I like Jay a lot. I don't think he looks like a total
ass at all! I think he comes across as a real person
and very likeable. (I agree with your observation
also about how few people post. I'm so surprised it's
not more active here. This is a GREAT show!)

Of all the folks left I tlike Jay the best as well.
Austin needs to lose a little drama and focus on
designing. And designing things that don't look like
they come from a Victorian Bodega.

at first i was an austin fan, but not anymore, i think he's such an oddball.  i love love love Jay!!  He's a wonderful designer and he has a fantastic personality.  I know the show's about designers, but I'm more interested in the models.  They're awesome.

Austin is my favorite, but I like Kara Saun too.  She seems very
professional yet nice at the same time.  Does anyone know why she's
always referred to by both her first and last name?  I understand she

you think she specifically asked that they always refer to her

I just came here to the home page and saw that there are 54 members..
and not too many people say much. LOL

Well, my favorite is Jay because, well, I grew up with him and he was
one of my good friends. I haven't seen him in a little over a year
but he was still the same ol' Jay. What you people are seeing on TV
is what I got to experience my whole life growing up. That's how he
always was and it looks like that's how he'll always be.

He has always made his own clothes and stuff for others as well. Even
though we didn't stay close or anything in our adult years, I can
honestly say I'm proud to see him on this show. He deserves to be
there!!! The editing on this show makes him out to be a total ass,
but really he's not. He is who he is and at least he is honest about
it. I'm happy for him that he made it this far.

My pick to win the entire thing, would be Kara Saun. Watching the way
things are going, I'm thinking the final three are going to be
Austin, Kara and Jay with Kara as the over all winner. I really love
her work!

Mark, are you a tori amos AND project runway fan?  if you are, then, OMG! Tori Amos is my inspiration and, occasionally, my reason for being! I <3 her!  As for the show, although I hate Wendy for her pettiness and back-stabbing, she has impressed me with her last two designs. I loved the "sweetheart" look of her wedding gown and I do dig on her groovy asymetrical lacing.  But that could be her one and only trump card, her ace-in-the-hole, and you can't have it on everything.  Plus, some of her former designs were truly heinous.  I love Alexandra's ex-patriot nouveau bohemian look and was really surprised and sorry to see her go.  I would wear all the outfits she designed (including the bathing suit, which wasn't that derivitive of Michael Kors' and Mossimos") and wouldn't have to starve myself to do it.  Robert is sexy as hell and I've had at least one interesting dream about him but he is just out of his league on this show.  It's not always his designs that are bad, it's his color choices! I mean, for God's sake ICE BLUE and LEOPARD!  ELECTRIC BLUE and KOOL-AID ORANGE? YUCK! He should have gone w/ the last challenge, not little Alexandra.  Jay is OK, killer personality, but I've been seeing his stuff in Seventeen magazine for years. It really isn't that innovative and the bathing suit he designed was already designed by Gucci several years ago.  Check your back issues of Vogue and W. So, who will go next?  Idon't know.  I am completely addicted to this show and could watch it for hours!  Can't wait for the DVD! PLEASE LET THERE BE A DVD! Obsessively Yours, Elizabeth G.

i agree with you as far as kara saun and wendy. wendy
is terrible and very twofaced. kara saun is the only
that stays out of the mix.

austin and the other guy (the big guy)crack me up. i
think they may be 2 of the final 3. i think the guy
that made the outfit instead of the bathing suit is
going to go next.

i think alexandria went was because her bathing suit
was too generic. there was nothing of herself in the
design. i can see using other designers ideas but then
you are suppose to take those ideas and incorporate
your own. she took the easy way out.

I'm hooked on this show too! I love Austin - not only for his
designs, but he also seems to be a nice person. And fun! I knew
that Star wouldn't last long. She was much too thin-skinned to last
long, and if she doesn't toughen up it won't matter how good or bad
her designs are because she's too easily reduced to tears. (I also
hated every design she did!) I love the challenges, and there's no
one I really dislike now that Star is gone. I'm pulling for Austin
to win, but there are a few others that I like too. Does anyone else
have favorites and non-favorites?

applied to have this opportunity and that they were selected because
if you think about it, it's a LOT of air time and more "advertising"
for them. Reruns, etc. They'll get a lot of mileage out of doing
this.

I got hooked on the show the other night after seeing the three back-
to-back episodes. It's so fascinating to watch them take an idea and
then transform it. What a gift to be able to do that! I'm anxious
to see what else they do... so far my favorites are Wendy Pepper and
the blonde guy (Austin??). But there are several others who I
thought did a really good job, too. For the art deco/Banana Republic
assignment, I thought that the guy who did the "Chrysler Building"
dress did a great job, even though I could tell that Wendy Pepper's
design would probably be the winner. The detail that he did on the
front of the dress was so beautiful but I could see where it would be
one of those dresses that would have to "fit like a glove" to really
show off the detail work whereas Wendy's black dress with the cape
was something that could be a little more forgiving. Anyhow, another
reality type of show for me to get hooked on! ;-)

I have to say that I am a "Project Runway junkie".....I love this
show, being a makeup artist for 15 years, it feels like watching all
my friends in my own living room......but I would love to see more
of the outtakes from the auditions, my reasoning is simple.... for
example, the very best part of such shows as "American Idol" were
the outtakes of the rejects of the auditions, and I can only imagine
the drama and laughs that would come from such outtakes from the
fashion designers.........just a suggestion, maybe at the end of the
season, you can run a special episode showing people that auditioned
and how they reacted to being selected and/or rejected.

thanks

I think that they have an internship wit banana republic...
eventually leading to a job as a designer there. All I am wondering
is ... why banana republic?

Well I'm just writing because I am completely addicted to this show!
I love it. It is so much fun to watch the fashion and all the
designers. My favorite designer is Austin. He is so amazing. His
fashion is so glamorous and chic. My least favorite is Starr. I
really can't stand her. She has little to no talent and she is just
really annoying. She complains to much and almost always starts
crying. I was wondering if people would email me with there favorite
and least favorite designers. I hope there are other people out
there that love this show as much as me.

I am an aspiring fashion designer in NYC, and when I heard about the
show I thought it is a great idea. I only wish I had heard about
the show earlier so I could apply! Does anyone know how the
desingers are tied into Banana Republic? Do they become designers
for Banana?

Thanks,

Kristin
