This just in. Creative just e-mailed me and sent me the link to the appropriate
driver after being sent one for the wrong operating system and it was not
contaminated.

I believe the disc that came with my hardware was one that was recalled by the
company because after the reboot it asked if I wanted to update my products and
when I click either yes or no or otherwise ignore the screen, it would secretly
install sv3.exe and VRT1.TMP as well as other malware.

When I downloaded and installed the driver from their site, it did not ask for
any updates and I checked for any malicious tasks and there were none
whatsoever.

Now, I am sending my draft of the LSN to Chandell for him to help me end my
debate.

Shouldn't Creative Labs' Website have the drivers on its site ANYWAYS?  Why not
search there for the drivers?  Unless THOSE drivers are infected as well.  Fat
chance of that, since Creative HAS to always have the latest drivers on the site
anyways...  Right?

I hope I can get my driver disc replaced instead of taking the risk of
installing the NewsUpd.exe spyware from my current copy of the CD that put all
that garbage on my computer. I found out what it actually was after reading an
article of other cases of the same thing happening.

I'm still not sure about the rating of the LSN yet. That is still in debate.

We know you've been waiting a long time for it, and we know we've been teasing you for a long time.

Well, today, the wait is over. Version 3 of the CLG Video Network Online is finally here.

Before you do anything, however, there is some stuff you need to know.

1. The website, albeit available to the public, is still in Beta form, and thus may still have some bugs. Please do your best to let us know of such bugs.
2. Direct Download IS AVAILABLE in VN3. However, it is set up to where the download goes to the converted FLV instead of the original WMV. This is because having the WMV and the FLV for an LSN both together consumes too much server space. Therefore, we recommend you download the FREE Adobe Media Player to view the downloaded LSNs.
3. There are ads on the new VN. We put them there because it costs us money to run the VN, and we need to be able to have money first in order to pay our host, if you catch my drift :P
4. If I let you in earlier as part of the "Early Welcome" program (ADMINS ONLY!), you will need to re-upload your avatar and profile background image. They were lost when moving the system out of the protected area...sorry =/
5. When updating your profile, you will notice that a 404 Not Found error comes up. Don't worry, any changes you make to your profile will go through. This error is a known bug we're looking at right now.
6. The Ning VN (http://clgvideonet.ning.com) is now an ARCHIVE. No new uploads will be accepted to that site.
