Well, I am going to assume that nobody here has heard anything by
reaching out to 3 Circles and asking them about the future of the
show.

In the days since Tara signed off the last time, it has become more
and more clear that WPIX really screwed this up. What IF they had
placed P2W on at 1 am like My Games Fever?? Remember that the show
was hot and doing very well in the numbers game in NYC at 2am. One
hour earlier and it would have even been better. The move to 3am
smacks of a business deal gone sour. And, that's what I was told this
week. Can't confirm it but it makes some sense. PIX would not sink a
show that had decent numbers, brought in revenue or the suits thought
had a bright future. But, even if those were true, bad business
relationships kill everything.

To counter that, I was told by a second person that PIX will bring
back an interactive show for the summer and it could be P2W but not
like the old show. Hmmm cryptic indeed. But, my source was pretty
adament that the station was indeed looking to do this once the
summer began.

We'll just have to see. Speaking of seeing, I miss seeing those
beautiful faces....TARA & AMBER...come out of cybersiberia and soon!

(Sunday) and it just doesn't work for me, too noisey, flashy, annoying
and it makes me miss Tara and Amber more!

Seeing My Games Fever live at 1 am on Sunday also makes me shake my
head at the dorks who decided to cancel the airing of our loved P2W. To
their credit, My Games Fever is giving this time slot a chance after
WPIX-WGN-Tribune abandoned and mismanaged P2W. And, I must give credit
to the show that the hosts and producers certainly work hard at keeping
the show lively. It just crosses over to annoying for me.

Very well put, Brian. At first I didn't give Amber much of a chance,
but she kept working hard and gaining confidence week after week,
until by the end she had really come into her own. Now, I could
actually see her hosting other shows, which is something I would have
never expected early on. I'm sure Tara deserves some of the credit
too, for lending support, especially at the start. As you said, Amber
was only doing one game a night. She was obviously watching Tara the
rest of the time!

After 6 months, they had become a great team and had shared so many
personal stories. I'll definitely miss them.

Yes, the main thing is that she has a MySpace profile. I was simply
being nice by providing everyone that didn't get a friend request a
link to it. Even you said that your first response was a ballbuster

First off,  I did see the Mr. T in the Word Snake and there was even two ways to spell it out lol. The last show was pretty good; they took in callers rapid fire during the first half and slowed it down for the second. I've said it practically every night in one form or another and I'll say it again, Tara was top notch. She seemed upbeat even though it was the final show; unlike the Midnight Money Madness finale! The show gave away a decent amount of money for its final US outing. I agree with Steve though in that they should have ended with a Jackpot Game.

            Tara started on Play2Win when the show wasn't even called Play2Win. In August of 2006 Text2Win had a one week trial run featuring Tara as the lone host. She was kind of like how Amber was at the start of P2W back then, only Tara was thrown out to the lions for a full hour each night. When Play2Win debuted in October, she seemed to host much more fluidly than her time on T2W. Tara was basically the `alpha-host' getting more airtime nightly than co-host Amber. Tara got to host the two CW-11 Play2Win primetime specials in December; doing so with the assistance of Chip who was either instructed not to talk, or was a mute. Tara was the only host to take a vacation during the time of Play2Win, effectively causing a riot within the Play2Winnerverse with her unexpected absence lol.

            Over the time span of Play2Win, Tara has shown time and time again that she can flawlessly hold down a show of that caliber. Her ad-libbing skills are amazing and have noticeably improved since Text2Win. After seeing her performances every night, there's no doubt in my mind that Tara's career is going to soar after P2W. Can you believe the producers ended the last show without giving
someone a CHANCE at the jackpot? They chose to give clues to the
answer "mermaid" instead of "pirate" which virtually guaranteed that no
one would even play the jackpot game. I guess if it was MY money I
wouldn't want to risk it either, but that was just lame. Talk about
ending on a sour note.

Hi everyone,

It sure seems a bit sad here today to think tonight might be the
show's finale. I've been crazy busy with work and haven't had the
opportunity to really ask around and tap the sources I have about
what's going on. But those I did gave me conflicting answers. One was
my pal who told me weeks ago, which I shared here, that WPIX was
about to cut the show. The other one told me the show is not going
away for good but to look for a hiatus and that it will be back this
spring or summer.

Truly, the move to 3am eastern was clearly a blow to the show. The
downward spiral was fast...really fast too. It just never made any
sense to have the show linger at 3 am. It could be that the move was
actually made AFTER, as my source told me, WPIX had made the decision
to cut the show and this was one way to do it. BUT, it made no sense
at all to have other stations pick it up then if it was known it was
going off.

Anyhow, at this point, I am wondering if any of the P2W fans have
reached out to the show itself for feedback. I believe a couple of
folks here did that a while ago and received responses. Also, I
shared way back in November I believe that I personally wrote and
spoke to friends at WPIX and strongly pushed the show. I was all
glowing about Tara's work and how she alone was good reason to
support it and then told them that the show had a lot of potential
and a strong following.

I think WPIX is a station that would certainly appreciate viewer
comments and consider what everyone has to say. I suggest though that
everyone who writes to WPIX go beyond the fact you like the show and
that you don't like it going off the air and share WHY you like the
show and how you would be a loyal viewer if they kept it on and maybe
made some changes (like earlier time slot).

It's really shame how this may end. The show had a lot of momemtum
jsut a few months ago. Again, it is a case of how tought the business
is and the bottom line is money. I'm sad to think we wont see our
Tara any longer. From the first show in August I thought she was the
real deal...great work. And, Amber's great work just added to the
show and she was a kick.

The only thing I can say is to write to the stations and be an
ADVOCATE and LOBBY for the show. It works.
