Dear Fellow Members and those sho are concerned about Our Children's Rights;

Some persons sort of know of me and my passion for the complete overhaul of the
Family Court and Friend of the Court system in Michigan and especially related
to Support and Custody! Many do not yet know of me at all…

Due to my Child Advocacy in West Michigan, I have been asked to consider running
for Kent County Commissioner in 2010.

I am asking YOU if you believe that YOU might support or be able to refer
someone you know in Kent County a Dad who has spent the last 4 years as an
advocate, as a voice to improve the relationships between a child of divorce and
his/ her parents? A person who has been a victim of the FOC from the local to
the State level and been advised to "stand down" because "People like me"
disrupt the system (the BROKEN, SEVERELY OUTDATED, BIASED and in some cases
CORRUPT system!!!)

I believe that the System, the courts and even at times the judges have their
own agenda. I believe that those who are "in charge" of our Children's and our
lives are many times more apdt to follow their own feelings, their own prejudice
and even their own financial agenda (Title IV?) that the "best interest of the
children".

I belive it is WRONG for the administrators to make STRONG recomedations to the
Family Court based on investigation, meetings with both parents, information
from Social Workers and consulting the State and Fedearl Laws, only to have a
BIASED or UNINTERESTED Family Court Judge ignore ALL OF IT and "rule" in the
complete opposite direction, EVEN WHEN ALL PARTIES HAVE STIPULATED to the FOC's
recommendation!!

I believe it is WRONG for a parent who has been awarded Physical Custody of his/
her Children to have to BEG the Family Court system to enforce the financial
support REQUIRED to raise children in todays World!

I believe it is WRONG for a NON CUSTODIAL PARENT to lose everything, to not
beable to afford a reasonable home or apartment, food, clothing or their typical
living expenses because a BIASED JUDGE has decided that he/ she should pay more
and more despite the NCP losing their job or perhaps a portion of their income
due to employment cutbacks.

I believe it is VERY WRONG for a NCP (especially a Dad, as I am one) to simply
decide NOT to make EVERY ATTEMPT to pay as much support as is affordable towards
the rasing of His/ her Children EVEN IF HE/ SHE "hates" their X Spouse!!! (Man
Up, Dads!)

I ALSO BELIEVE the studies and statistics which have proven over the past 2
decades that the Children who share their EQUAL RELATIONSHIPS with BOTH EQUALLY
FIT AND DESERVING PARENTS DO FAR BETTER in EVERY SOCIAL CIRCUMSTANCE that has
been studied AND BOTH PARENTS do much better financially, mentally and socially
as well!

This, although my most passionate issue, is only one which I believe I could be
very effective in…There is A LOT WRONG in Michigan but you CAN NOT BUILD A HOUSE
FORM THE ROOF DOWN!! I believe a County Commissioner is at the base, the
foundation of where this work MUST BEGIN and whether it is me or another like
me…it is WAY PAST TIME to fix it!!

Before I commit to anything like this…I would appreciate hearing from the
groups…even if you are NOT resident of Kent County, Mi.
