Parent's for Children was honored and privileged to be part of the Rally in St. Johns, Clinton County , Michigan, yesterday, May 8, 2009.

There is no doubt in anyone's mind, that Parents for Children held the largest Parental Rights Rally in the State of Michigan, if not the entire country.

The miracle was that it was not done by any group, but by a family, the Shafer Family.

For those of you that don't know the history, Parental Rights Rallies have been very small. Intimidation, the backing of billions of dollars from the State and Federal governments for Title IV programs for domestic violence, child abuse and neglect, adoption, and Deadbeat Dads have put a stigma on the Family Rights involvement.

Tea Parties occurred on April 15th across Michigan this year. More than 15,000 people showed up at 20 events across the State of Michigan. Over 5,000 people showed up in Lansing for the Tea Party Rally. Now that was a real powerful message sent to the State Legislators and our Governor. The mass of 5,000 people shows the People of the State of Michigan are mad as hell and don't intend to take government abuse and misuse anymore! We want are Rights back!

Getting back to the Schafer Family Rally and the new group, ccparentsunited.org, they put this rally together in a week. The most important point was this Christian, pro-family, Clinton County group said they were going to do it, and then kept their word by putting hundreds of men, women and children in the streets in a well mannered, well organized event.

Parents for Children will take this group's message and sacrifice around the State of Michigan this summer leading up to Parental Rigths Rally in Lansing in the Fall. Organization, determination, drive, and peaceful protest with a clear message is the key to success.
