Hi All,
Now that they have announced a spring premiere for HappyTown we have put our
HappyTown site on live now.
we have previews, picture posting, youtube posting and our own chat room.
We are looking for fans to help us customize the site to make it a home for all
fans, especially October road and Life on Mars fans who have already
suffered the heartbreak of Losing our favorite shows by these producers.
We feel that if we get out early we can push ABC to market the show better than
our previous shows that were seriously under promoted. feel free to contact me
with any questions
Thanks
Frank Balascio
Ps I am also posting this on the October Roadies board as well
the board is located at

So, now is the time to promote it, before it first airs. And the way to do this
is to tell everyone we know about it so it gains that all important HUGE
viewership right from the beginning that seems ABC only likes.

Hello October Road Fans!!
Exciting news! The producers that brought us October Road have yet another
project going on and has been picked up as a series. If you have not already
heard, it is called Happy Town! And starring our own Eddie Latekka nonetheless.
Also, Physical Phil will also be in this new exciting series.
Now, we don't want this show to suffer the same fate as OR did so we shouldn't
wait to promote it only when we see it in danger of being canceled. So, now is
the time to promote it, before it first airs. And the way to do this is to tell
everyone we know about it so it gains that all important HUGE viewership right

I am including a link to the preview and it does look pretty good. So, pass this
on to all you know, if you are on other boards, let them know about this new
show and lets grab the viewers early on.

The wrap up did just what it was supposed to but I think I speak for everyone
when I say I still would love to watch at least another season. A 5 series
finale ep wouldve been better wrapped up everything. 10 min didn't do October
Road justice...
The residents of a small town come to terms with lost love, regret and
redemption in October Road Season 2, coming to DVD on May 5, 2009 from Walt
Disney Studios Home Entertainment. Fans of this heart-warming hour-long drama
can own a special three-disc set, complete with all 13 second season episodes,
plus a never-seen series wrap-up created exclusively for DVD, that addresses the
show's unresolved storylines, such as the fate of Nick and Hannah's unrequited
relationship, the identity of Sam's father, and what the future holds for the
citizens of Knight's Ridge.
October Road Season 2 stars Bryan Greenberg (Bride Wars, ¡§One Tree Hill¡¨),
Odette Yustman (The Unborn, Cloverfield), Laura Prepon (¡§That¡¦s 70¡¦s Show¡¨)
and Geoff Stults (The Break-Up, Wedding Crashers) in a captivating and touching
look at the challenges of going home again. The series is executive produced by
Josh Appelbaum, AndreƒV Nemec and Scott Rosenberg, who also serve as executive
producers of the ABC hit series, ¡§Life on Mars.¡¨
The last time writer Nick Garrett (Bryan Greenberg) left his hometown of
Knight¡¦s Ridge, he promised his high school girlfriend, Hannah Daniels (Laura
Prepon), he would be back in six weeks. Ten years later, he finally returns to
and discovers life in the Ridge has moved on without him. Hannah is a single
mom, raising a bright and articulate nine-year-old son, Sam, and dating Nick¡¦s
high school nemesis, and the men Nick once thought of as his closest friends
have grown older, and even grown up. In the complete second season of this
acclaimed ABC television series, Nick stays on in Knight¡¦s Ridge to repair his
relationships with family and friends, explore his budding romance with Aubrey
(Odette Yustman), and satisfy his suspicion that Hannah¡¦s son Sam may be his
son. October Road Season 2 also includes an unprecedented series wrap-up created
exclusively for DVD release.
I just found out today that O Road was canceled. I was looking for it online and
let me say that I was NOT HAPPY!!!! I wish we could get it back on..... let me
know what I can do to help!
I set up a Facebook profile where I can post my pictures, videos and events and I want to add you as a friend so you can see it. First, you need to join Facebook! Once you join, you can also create your own profile.
This e-mail may contain promotional materials. If you do not wish to receive future commercial mailings from Facebook, please opt out. Facebook's offices are located at 156 University Ave., Palo Alto, CA 94301.
Hey Roadies,
The OR wrap up is done according to Scott's message on Facebook. I,
myself, have put myself in on the wait/notify list at Amazon for when
the DVD is available. I urge you to do the same. I plan to purchase it
there but will probably go to my local Best Buy to get a copy right
away as I am dying to know who Sam's dad is! The copy I will get from
Amazon I will donate to my library to go along with the Season 1 I
donated. I am really hoping that Amazon is overrun with sales on this
and we can make it happen.
Just wanted to get the word out that it won't be long now for us to see
our beloved OR again and get all our questions answered about our
favorite characters.
Hoodehoo!
Deb
I read your profile today, I thought I would drop you a line and hope to become
your friend! Check my personal page here:

Me too, now it just seems all to final. I was hoping for a different outcome. One that moves the series to a different network. On the brighter side, I am glad that Boston Legal, Pushing Daisies, Eli Stone, and others on ABC are not doing too good this season. I bet they are sorry they cancelled their best show now, knowing how much of a following it has. jmho. But I know the only ABC shows I watch is greay's and private practice the rest i dont care about and find my interest lie elsewhere.

Thank you so much for those photos, I really enjoyed them! Isn't it
funny how one can feel so homesick for a town that you have never
actually set foot in. October Road is just such a special, special
show. Thanks
again and if you have any more pics, please, do put them up!

thank you very much josephrdecarlo for doing that. next time I come online I will check it out, even though I don't know if I can because it just makes me more devasted and mad. but, either way, thanks so much! :)
P.S. I hope everyone is still doing all they can for our October Road. :) Thanks to all of you!!
On January 11, 2009, I put in a new photo album titled "A Tour of
Knights Ridge." I am showing pictures of Newnan, Georgia where they
filmed portions of the TV Show October Road. I am showing pictures of
places that were seen on the television show. During October Road two
seasons, more of season one was filmed in Newnan than season two.
The other cities that the show was taped in Georgia other than Newnan
was Madison, Atlanta, and Agnes Scott College (which was Dufresne
College) in Decatur.
I hope you enjoy viewing the album "A Tour of Knights Ridge" and see
where portions of the television show October Road was filmed.

October Road...You've Waited So Long...
So it's not "officially" official yet but the tentative plan is to
shoot the OR wrap up/epilogue on Jan. 24th in L.A.
I'm sure there will be some sort of news clipping about it somewhere.
The plan is to add it on to the Season 2 DVD but there is no news of
when that might be released.
All of your questions will soon be answered...
And Remember LIFE ON MARS returns WEDNESDAY, JAN. 28th @ 10PM...Check
it out.
Special thanks to flagirl13 for setting up the following event.
WELCOME ROADIES, OCTOBER ROAD FANS, GROUPIES OR ANYONE INTERESTED IN "WHAT GOES ON", PLEASE FEEL FREE TO JOIN US.
We are having our First Annual October Road Reunion January 17th, 18th and 19th (Monday-Martin Luther King Day), for those of us that have that day off, it will give us an extra day to write letters.
Please spread the word to everyone so they may join us.
Please feel free to comment, to share, to eat and be merry. Sully's will be open for refreshments and wngs (among other things). Maybe, we will run into Eddie and Janet, Nick or Hannah, Pizza Girl, Ikey or Owen or all of the above.
We want to show ABC how committed we are to this TV show and that we are not going anywhere. So let's shut this message board down from being overloaded because of all the activity this weekend. We can do it.
Snippity-lou to all of you until then and remember to spread the WORD.
Please send all letters to HBO at the following address:
HBO Consumer Affairs
1100 Avenue of the Americas
New York, NY 10036
Thanks!
